I have Padfone S, I managed to flash "CWM Recovery, using CWM6.img using adb tool" and I have now CWM working, I am still in Stock ROM [ASUS PadFone S Firmware: V11.10.7.11 TW SKU (Android 4.4.2)]
I need to return back from "CWM Recovery" to "Stock Recovery"
The reason to do this cause I need to upgrade my stock ROM from V11.10.7.11 to V11.10.7.17 (I can't upgrade from "CWM Recovery", I need to go back to "Stock Recovery")
My Padfone S current status: working with Stock ROM " V11.10.7.11 TW", rooted, using "CWM Recovery", bootloader still locked
Can I used "CWM Recovery" to flash Stock ROM "V11.10.7.17"?
If not please if some one could copy and send the Padfone S "Stock Recovery" image file and share

You can use CWM to flash stock rom. After flash, choose reboot, and then it will ask "This rom will flash recovery. Do you want to disable?" or something like this > click no.

Thank you for your help. I tried to flash from Stock ROM using CWM but it fails as it says (This package is for "ASUS_T00N" device is a "t00n") any help here ???
Is any one can extract "stock recovery" image from Padfone S device & share?
Or is there is any way to extract the "stock recovery" from "ASUS PadFone S Firmware: V11.10.7.11 ROM"
I download the ROM (UL-ASUS_T00N-TW-11.10.7.11-user.zip) from ASUS support web site, I unzip it but I can't find "Stock Recovery' image, what I found a folder called "Recovery" where the files "recovery-from-boot.p & install-recovery.sh" are there, any help please ???
Is there is any way to go back to day-one-as-new Padfone S
My Padfone S status is: working, Rooted, Stock ROM TW-11.10.7.11, CWM Recovery working, Bootloader still locked

Tablet is rooted. Tablet has unlocked bootoader.
ROM Manager reports that I have recovery installed - both TWRP and ClockwordMod Recovery 5.8.3.4.
I want to update to 4.4.2 but when I go to try to boot into recovery, via ROM Manager or just manual hold volume down and power, I get the dead Android on his back with a red exclamation. No matter what recovery I try I get this.
Any thoughts on how to get out of it?
Ok.. I used this process to successfully flash the FlatLine CWM Recovery! Which I can now boot into that recovery via RCK selection and recovery bootup (power + vol down key)!
Not sure why the other recoveries were borked... but the key is the FlatLine recovery allows me to boot into recovery.
So this allows one to at least boot into a recovery and make a backup.
BUT this will not, I found out, allow me to install 4.4.2 (CM11) since you must use a TWRP or CWM recovery to install 4.4.2 (CM11) as FlatLine will not allow it
So then I use the same above Fastboot method to push a CWM recovery for the TF201 - fresh download of 5.8.3.4 - since I need a CWM recovery to intall the 4.4.2 (CM11) and... no joy. I push it by fastboot, boot into recovery, select RCK and it says it is going to "booting recovery kernal image" and then just hangs.
so still stuck. Any thoughts? I need to get to a kit kat and tf201 compatible CWM or TWRP recovery to flash the new ROM but I am stuck. I can only boor into the FlatLine recovery, but that does no good now.
So.... I opted to install TWRP 2.7.0.0 and that installed. I was able to boot into it, backup, and then tried it all again and.... FAIL!!
I get the same failed error... ugh!
So a ROM Manager install of 5.8.3.4 CWM fails to even boot
So a Fastboot install of 5.8.3.4 CWM fails to even boot
So a Fastboot install of TWRP 2.7.0.0 boots but fails to allow the 4.4.2 (CM11) install
So a Fastboot install of FlatLine boots but fails to allow the 4.4.2 (CM11) install

" Note: Support Status
This device does not support the newest version of CyanogenMod. This may be due to hardware limitations or simply because development is not yet complete. The last version officially supported was based on the jellybean branch of CyanogenMod. "
I believe you cannot run kitkat cyanogenMod as far as I know because you need cwm 6.0.+ version that isn't there . However there is a method to install kitkat on tf201 . I say so because I am running latest version of cyanogenmod snapshot m8 android 4.4.4 on my tf201 . There is just a simple matter of flashing recovery for tf300t ( well when I say simple ... ) on your tf201 .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2773812
take a look at the link above . To install crombi-kk you flash twrp recovery version 2.7.0.1 (I think check the version I don't remember) . however there is no such version for tf201 . I never installed the actual rom but I played around and notice after doing step 2,3,then 2 again (in crombi-kk upgrade instruction) my device won't run cwm for tf201 but works fine with tf300t version of cwm .
I am talking from experience and there is always a chance of bricking as this is not an official guide but I think its what I did .
I was on twrp latest version of tf 300t and I installed cm snapshot m8 android 4.4.4 for tf300t device successfully . after using the rom for a while I noticed hangs when your device was on sleep and you wanted to wake the device , it just wouldn't turn on which forced me to hold power for like 5-10 sec to force a reboot.
I solved this by flashing cwm 6.0.4.7 for tf300t via fastboot . Again seems like development for tf201 and also tf300t is going to hell . so you won't find this version of recovery for tf300t on cwm site .However if you google latest kitkat recovery for tf300t or smthing like that I'm sure you will find it . These I think are ports from other people than acutal cwm team ...
One thing is for sure ... Cyanogenmod cm11 require cwm 6.0.+ or twrp 2.7.0.1 ...
Edit : as always do a backup ... and MOVE IT OUT of internal SD since for some reason it formatted all my data on internal plus my backups ... I messed around with more stuff though . but just in case be prepared for a formatted internalSD ...
I think I bricked it for good this time
I now can no longer fastboot in, so I cannot change recovery apps. I can boot into recovery - TWRP.
I boot up and I no longer have the USB plugin icon and fastboot will just no longer allows me to push a new recovery - says no device present despite having done it 20 times earlier. WHich sucks as I had a TWRP and Flatline recovery saved, an now I am stuck on an older version of TWRP and it does not see the TWRP recovery I made from a newer TWRP version.
This happened when I updated the bootloader to Hairybean.
So I am stuck in a circle where I can boot into an old TWRP, cannot push a new recovery, bastfoot seems borked and the tablet won't boot into Android.
I am sorry to hear that . I can't see where you wen't wrong to the point that broke fastboot . The post no.4 in link above has step to step instruction .
There is always APX mode (if you have backups) . I personally haven't worked with it but you should be able to do a recovery ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/APX_mode .
Edit : take a look at the other Thread you posted . you might be on the right track after all .
I know that you need to have a custom recovery (not the stock one) for being rooted.
And I also have heard the fact that the OTA updates require the Stock Recovery.
So can you guys please provide us with the stock recovery, and tell us how to flash it.
Thanks in advance
here you go.

had check failed for recovery
i have this msg
"had check failed for recovery"
all recovery.img instalations. and Recovery option in Fastboot don,t work. wtf?
i'm using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-c5-ultra/development/bootloader-unlocked-custom-recovery-t3285521 to install twrp
why i cannot acces twrp recovery? my devices E5333 UBL android 5.1
Not sure what you mean by "cannot access twrp recovery" If you mean you cannot find the fotakernel.img (recovery.img) then they are in Post number 3 under "Downloads Here" click to show content. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64633893&postcount=3
If you mean TWRP does not boot after you flashed it then you either booted to system first after the flash which will replace twrp with the stock recovery or you did not unlock the bootloader correctly.
Just follow the OP very carefully and it will work.
device: Huawei CUN-L22
i managed to unlock the bootloader and install the TWRP recovery rom.

https://myridia.com/downloads/huawei_cun-l22/Rom-stock.zip

Hello guys,
I have the SGP321 running on android 5.1.1. It is rooted with SuperSU and I installed TWRP via [NUT]'s XZDualRecovery. When I try to flash Resurrection Remix (same error with LineageOS 14.1 btw) the installation fails with error: execute updater binary in zip. Two lines above (but not in red text) it says that this rom is meant to be installed on a SGP321 (which I have) but my device is a [empty space]. I don't know if this has something to do with the mentioned error. A Google search led me to posts with the same error, but mostly on the OP One and the Moto G4. They say that you have to update the bootloader. Has anyone experienced the same problems with their Xperia TabZ and has found a solution to this?

Recovery 2.8.7.0 is not compatible with with the lastest custom firmwares like android 7.1.2 or 8.1.
To flash them successfully you need to flash recovery version at least 3.2.1.x to your device.

Good to know, thank you! How can I flash the newer version of TWRP? I tried to flash via Fastboot but get the error "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)". I think this is because Sony's devices don't have a recovery partition.

Use Rashr tool.
Download twrp.img from the link above. Flash it to recovery via Rashr and reboot. After you can enter it via Vol+ on boot.
Rashr says I need a FOTA kernel partition, how do I get that? Thank you for your help, hope that this was my last question
EDIT:
OK I tried different things with Rashr. I uninstalled XZDualRecovery with the flashable zip and flashed full stock rom 5.1.1 with Flashtool and rooted it again. I was not able to install the latest twrp by any means using Rashr.
I found another solution:
1. I installed (again) XZDualRecovery and booted into TWRP 2.8
2. I flashed the Marshmallow Version of Resurrection Remix (https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...pment/rom-resurrection-remix-m-5-7-3-t3440876) --> This installed the CM-Recovery (Vol-) AND TWRP 3.2.1 (Vol+)
3. Booted into TWRP 3.2.1
4. Successfully flashed an Android 8.1 Rom
