[Q] Installing GApps results in all "Unfortunately Google ... has stopped" - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Purchased a used rooted s4 today and installed the latest cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly. That installs and works fine and all but the second I install the GApps package it results in "Unfortunately _insert Google app_ has stopped" just spamming my screen. If I close it another will just pop up and I can't get into settings or anything. I've tried clearing cache/dalvik etc but same thing. Basically I just have to wipe the device and reinstall without gapps to get it to a usable state. I have the NC5 Verizon galaxy s4 with OUDhs CWM Touch Req0very v1.0.3.5 (was installed by previous owner). I've also tried different gapp package such as slim gapps and same thing. Any ideas?
EDIT: Solved. Updated my recovery and it worked fine.

[Q] Error when updating Galaxy S3 from PA 2.54 to 3.0

Hi guys,
I have recently registered and was wondering if someone can help me please.
I have a rooted Galaxy S3 running PA 2.54. I used Goo Manager to install TWRP and download PA 3.0 and the latest Gapps to my SD card.
I booted into recovery. Did a factory reset, wiped cache, wiped dalvik. Then installed rom, gapps and did a reboot.
I get past the boot screen, but then I get two error messages: "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" and "Unfortunately, Setup wizard has stopped". I keep pressing ok, but it doesn't allow me to progress any further. I can't access anything else and the only thing I am able to do is hold down the power button to reboot.
I have made a back up and restored my phone back 2.54 and everything works fine. I tried it one more time and the same thing happened.
Any help will be really appreciated.

[Q] Galaxy Note 2 Gapps/PA3 issue.

I have a Galaxy Note 2 i317, and use a Macbook pro 2011. I successfully rooted my note 2, and suceeded in installing Paranoid android 3.10, not Gapps. When i went to run it, it said that the keyboard had stopped. I tried to flash Gapps to fix this, (B1-DHO-GAPPS.zip). After flashing it, the phone booted properly, but before i could reach the unlock screen, the error "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps as stopped." appeared, and when i clicked ok, it changed to "Unfortunately, Android Keyboard (AOSP) has stopped." and then to "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped." I have tried multiple times to format and erase all data, clear cache, and clear dalvik, reflash the rom and gapps, or just the rom, and then re-clear the cache, but the error continues to occur. I tried to replace GAPPs on my microsd, but my computer now refuses to read it, and Android File Transfer won't connect to my phone. Really, I am fine with not having a rooted Note 2 at this point, I would just like for it to work. Please help.
Answer?
Ok before doing anything else , just restore your note 2 to stock ROM, here's how to :good:
First download the stock ROM and drivers (if you don't already have the drivers) - Click here
Download odin if you don't have it
Here's a tutorial to flash roms to galaxy note 2 using odin - click here

Major gapps problems when installing p4vzw CM10.1

SOLVED! The solution was to *not* follow the directions on the forum "[ROM][P75xx][JB][4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightly Discussions" which says to install gapps-jb-20130129-P75xx.zip. This version of gapps gave continual errors (see below).
The fix was to follow the directions at droidbasement.com for "CyanogenMod 10 – Galaxy Tab 10.1, March 6, 2013" which says to use gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip from http://goo.im/gapps/
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I finally decided to go for it, Titanium-backed-up all my important stuff, and then followed the instructions to install p4vzwCM10.1 on my SCH-i905 (Verizon LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1).
The first time around I neglected to put gapps on it. But it looked and ran ok. The browser worked, the modem, wifi, etc. Then I realized that to get all my paid apps back I needed Play Store hence gapps.
I flashed gapps gapps-jb-20130129-P75xx.zip (the one recommended in the forum [ROM][P75xx][JB][4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightly Discussions) on it and immediately started having problems with Play Store crashing. It would give the message "Server error" and then say "Unfortunately, Google Play store has stopped". And that was it. Deleting Play Store and Play services data, and multiple other things like rebooting a gazillion times, deleting and re-creating the Google account, etc. didn't help.
I then went into CWM 6.0.3.0 recovery and wiped cache/dalvik and did factory restore. Only, I don't know what that was supposed to do since gapps were still on there and going through the same process of setup just repeated the errors.
So, I flashed the original gingerbread stock Verizon ROM on the device, let it apply the multiple OTA updates, and then tried the whole process of installing CM10.1 and gapps gapps-jb-20130129-P75xx.zip again. Same thing. Same exact problems. Tried the remedies again of clearing Play store data, etc., but no help.
So now I'm going back to stock Verizon gingerbread and doing the OTAs to stock ICS again, ready for another round of flashing, but not sure what to do about gapps.
One other thing: the first time around when I installed CM10.1 without gapps the browser worked fine. But with gapps installed the browser also doesn't work. Clicking the icon basically does nothing.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!
In CWM, factory reset, wipe caches and format /system. Flash gapps and reboot.

I just installed cm-10.1-20131208-NIGHTLY-p4vzw.zip followed by gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip and I have the same gapps process errors occurring.
The 20121011 gapps file is for 4.1.2. Would installing that version of gapps on CM 10.1 (4.2.2) automatically cause issues?

Google Play services stopped | CM13 for GT-i9300

I had Unofficial 5.1.1 installed on my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300. I updated my device via CM Updater to CM13 6.0.1 Marshmallow. After updating, I am getting an error Google Play services has stopped, unfortunately. I cannot access any Google App.
I've flashed the GApps through OpenGapps. But after flashing GApps, phone stucks on Bootloop. I've tried many variants (pico, nano, stock) but none of them worked. I am still stucked at boot screen.
HELP!

Definitely Gapps problem.
1) Backup your data.
2) clean install Marshmallow rom (wipe data/ factory reset & install)
3) look for the correct Gapps (slim zero Gapps work for me)
You might know, but just telling - make sure the Gapps is for Android 6.0
P.S: don't panic and flash several things at once. Maybe you haven't clean flashed the CM 13, that might be the reason.
Clean flash 13.0 and don't boot yet after and go back to recovery, instead flash gapps immediately after flashing the rom. If you dont then you're going to have a bad time. Hope I helped
Done. Flash CWM and Boom
Thank You @sashankps. Slim Zero Gapps worked for me.
What I did?
1. Installed CWM Recovery.
2. Wiped everything.
3. Installed CM 13 (6.0.1)
4. Flashed Slim Zero Gapps.
5. Done.
PS: For future readers, please note that do not wipe cache/data after installing Gapps. After finishing above steps directly Reboot your system.

Glad it helped.
I was a CWM recovery user myself, but the development is static, I would suggest you move on to TWRP - chances of you encountering flashing problems is less.
Next Time.
