Use Odin to flash TWRP, unchecked reboot. Pull the battery. Then boot your phone into recovery.
I cant seem to find a twrp file to Odin. .do you happen to have one please

Not sure if you still need it, but go here https://dl.twrp.me/hltespr/ and download the .tar file and then flash through Odin.
Or use twrp manager from the play store to install it.

I just flashed it this morning and did a restore. Was at stock and up to date before flashing. Using 2.7.0.0
I've been trying this method since TWRP went official on the S5 and it keeps telling me it's not supported. Same with GooManager and Flashify. I don't want to go the whole Odin route if these methods should work. I'm on Philz recovery but want to go to TWRP since I had that on my S3.

Are you using a custom recovery? Did you try going back to TW after trying CM11?

If you can't go back I will recommend to Odin back to stock. Here is more information on it:

Yeah I would also recommend using Odin to restore stock and try again.
So i really want to root my verizon s4. I'm using it on tmobile service. I was trying to find a root method but it seems like the threads are closed and I don't want to brick my phone. I"m wanting to flash hyper's rom after i root it. Can someone please provide me links on how to achieve my goal of successfully rooting and flashing hypers rom. I attached a screen shot of my about phone section so you can see everything. Thanks!

Two things, Triscuit:
1) You posted a link to a WHOLE ROM and not an OTA;
2) The ROM you linked to is for the MDK bootloader which most of don't have.
Please be careful, guys!

You can download it from Sammobile. I just downloaded it a couple of days ago. It was a very slow download though. They want you to pay for faster downloads. See link. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SCH-I545/

I used Odin. I'm not aware of any other way except maybe a custom recovery.
