Thanks a lot for the tutorial, I have been looking a long time for it.
I have a question: Is "E10i CUSTOMIZED_UK 1237-0392 10A136" a firmware from UK and Customized by the operator? I mean, I want a firmware original from Sony Ericsson debranded device. You could get more firmwares?
I also live in Spain so I don't know if that firmware turn my phone into english language.
Please answer!
Thanks again
It's Generic UK and should contain Spanish .
And how could I revert to my original firmware?
Keep a backup of the files you overwrite.
You disallow the uploading of files you pulled from a SE server or phone?
Unlike HTC you have no power to stop anyone. I'm sure the xda admins won't look kindly upon such comments by its own posters.
actually delete cba.

Let me explain myself. The files are from extranet servers, correct but the files were repacked to be used by users. I let people debrand for free on multiple ocassions, and all I want is for users to respect the rules listed in my threads. If the download link doesn't work for somebody then I will try to mirror is myself in 48hrs. I also like to keep download statistics for myself which then can be used to look for popularity in files. If you have further questions in regards to this thread then please contact me through PM as the posts here are going offtopic.

Erm, isn't this tutorial exactly the same as that for the Xperia X10 apart from the X10 mini files? Not sure why you are somehow trying to claim a 'right' to it. This is the Internet after all.
Also, if I remember correctly, the instructions to debrand the Xperia X10 were first posted up by C987. You've got some nerve claiming that you somehow own this information.
Probably he want the "rights" to earn money by donations via PayPal, but that doesn't worry me...
Anyway, thanks Lollylost100 for the tutorial. It really works!
PD: If you give me permission, I could post this tutorial into Spanish forums (Always recognizing the work of the creator).
Thanks again

First debranded X10 by SEUS was done by me (private). I didn't release the method until another person manages to do it in public. When Andy managed it, I released my tutorial.
Again, anything you want to discuss with me then write a PM and you will sure get a reply back.
I'm well aware of your claims of doing it privately, but why not just release it then? Also, my original post was to point out that you are not giving out proprietary information so you shouldn't stick caveats like that in your tutorial.
This method to debrand Sony Ericsson products has remained essentially the same for years, it's not as if these are new instructions. By all means restrict the use of the files that you have uploaded (after all nobody else has access to these), but don't claim any copyright on the method.

yea but apparently its his method and he owns it... its a nice tutorial and glad you posted it to help x10 mini users but going so overboard on the 'this is mine' 'no one else even copy and paste it' stuff is just ridiculous considering its been around for years

Yes I know, but then I have 2 choices.
1. Don't use Facebook
2. Use it but don't complain when they use my data.
Posting something in the internet and say "I disallow you to....." is odd.
Nevertheless thank you for the tutorial!
Anyone try any of the diagram programs out there?
I'm currently testing out Dianoid Lite (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...developer&rdid=com.welant.dianoid.lite&rdot=1) and with the exception that it doesn't export to Visio, it's ok. Has anyone tried any of the others like Smart Diagram (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...oid.DiagramMaker.corepro&feature=related_apps) or the others?

An unfortunate and condescending response considering that a that good part of this site is APKs redistributed or modified without permission in ROMs or for those in regions arbitrarily without access to the latest and greatest apps.
Thankfully I know how to look up modifying my build.props to get it installed, I was just hoping to avoid the hassle by finding someone helpful out there.
I guess that as is increasingly the case one will have to go and help themselves.
Off I go ...

DigitalMD’s response was the correct one. There was nothing unfortunate or condescending about it.
He went to the trouble to locate the author’s web page in an effort to help you.
As far as developers incorporating apks in their roms, all of them secure permissions before using someone else’s work

If you expect people to break rules and pirate stuff because you are too lazy, then Yeah off you go.
Impressive ...
I posted a response to the accusations to piracy and laziness, and a suggestion that maybe the reason why many users are here is to run unsupported stuff on their phone. I also stated that to suggest that all those HTC/Sony/Sammy variant ROMs are done with the full permission of the manufactures is also patently false.
My post got deleted and I have 6 months of infraction points ...
XDA really has gone down the toilet.
Anyway, the important piece of information that I posted is that DroidDia runs fine on at least two unsupported devices (Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note) ... I extracted the APK from a Nexus One and installed directly.
Feel free to abuse me again for as long as this post remains ...
As apparently it is OK
Not that I expect this post to last much longer than the last one
Hmm.. interesting debate you guys are having in here. Here is how this is supposed to work:
MaxJavi, believe it or not, is not in fact asking for warez at all since the app is free (just restricted in its distribution due to Market's policies). Reposting the apk needs to be done with the developer's permissions but as it is not a paid app nor does it use any kind of licensing model such as Swype, it should be ok to post under our rules (of course, unless the IP owner complaints, in which case it has to be taken down).
On the other side of the coin, the answer provided to him was neither wrong, unfortunate, or condescending. It was in fact 100% correct. @MaxJavi, you were provided with the correct answer and your response to a helpful post (not too many of these around these days) was far more condescending, inflammatory, and filled with disdain than what you claim the other response was. A simple "thanks for the response" even if it would have meant for you to have to go to Google for 15 seconds to find the apk or ask the dev if you could have it would have been the correct venue. The infraction that you received was for the attitude you had towards someone simply taking the time to reply to you in a courteous manner, who even went as far as searching for the company in Google and posting a link for you to contact them.
I hope the OP doesn't mind, but I am closing this thread now as answers have been provided.

Hi, I am DroidDia developer.
I don't understand your problems with APK on Android Market. I added APK on market for all devices and all regions. But, maybe I am doing something bad.

[INDEX] Looking for a developer?
Recently, there have been a lot of threads which had the purpose to find developers for the thread starters' projects.
Additionally, you often see people posting their app ideas which is great for developers who are looking for new projects.
To reduce the amount of those threads and to have one place where developers can look for ideas/jobs, I created this thread in collaboration with @QuantumFoam.
Feel free to post your app ideas here or to post if you look for a developer to create an app. It does not matter whether it is a paid or a non-paid job.
Additionally, there will be a list of developers you can contact via PM if you want them to build an app for you.
If you are a developer, send me a PM with a link to your profile. I will add you to the list.
The list of devs:
QuantumFoam
ACdev
sak-venom1997
vijai2011
-=LT-United=- (games only)

To help decide who to choose, you can create a post here in which you give links to examples of your work. That is your possibility to show why you are the perfect person for the job.

What is the best way to go about paying developers found on here? I just want to make sure I have all my hens lined up to prevent any complications. I am sure each person will be different, but is there a typical "norm," such as PayPal/Cashier's Check/Bitcoins/Etc?
I know some of the paying sources require a few hoops to jump through, so if there is an odd ball one that the majority use, I just want to make sure it is setup before I go looking for developers!
Thank you.

It is up to you.
I need an app...a utility I guess you would call it...definitely a groundbreaker
I have an app that I want created, it has a very specific function and will be very useful. It will require knowledge of roms, NV writing, and OTA programming. I have a very planned workflow, and a virtually limitless hardware supply for testing various handsets. This could potentially be a great earner, and I'm also prepared to throw some cash at the project to get someone interested. If any of you feel like you fit that bill, get in touch with me and let's get serious...this app is needed MONTHS AGO and will continue to be needed for a long time & could grow exponentially. If anyone is interested, let's talk & get in business.
Reverse Engineer Instapray app
Hello everyone,
since i don't have a large budget for the app i want , i would like someone to reverse engineer Instapray Android App and make 3-4 small changes in order to suit my needs.
If someone can do it please message PM me or by gmail: kasidisaueb gmail com
Thanks
The next one in the row :fingers-crossed:
Like the topic said, also I am looking for a developer or simply a programmer.
I would prefer someone who acts more as a partner, than someone recruited for money.
I would prefer someone who isn't totally interested in profit. If there is any, we share it 50:50. So I want someone who does it for fun (because I don't believe the revenue would be higher than a few bucks. But perhaps ...).
As an alternative, a student who is satisfied with a very low salary for a few hours could be recruited, but without participation on later revenues.
I will provide the idea, a mockup, a working concept, the graphics, the trade licence and a contract (as a protection for further revenues of two unfamiliar people).
Because I don't have much experience in app development and marketing I am looking for someone, as stated above, who wants to be a partner and isn't interested only in profit.
Perfect would be someone german.
The skill requirements are very low. Only some database knowledge. Perhaps some knowledge about plotting graphs and network synchronisation as a special feature for the app.
Interested? PM me :highfive:

Can someone upload here default digitalclock.apk,dualclockdigital.apk,SamsungWidget_ProgramMonitor.apk. located in system/app please?

Hi all, I just received this gently-used SGH-I527 as a gift. This phone replaces an old Galaxy Nexus phone that has run its course for me. For Android phones, I've had nothing but the Nexus experience (and in the last eight months of the Galaxy Nexus, Cyanogenmod 11). I'm a little disappointing to read that this phone's bootloader hasn't been cracked yet (or as some suspect, never will be). However, I did discover the phone was rootable using Kingo ROOT, so I proceeded to do that because the phone still has Jelly Bean 4.2.2 on it.
I don't really care about Kit-Kat. But I certainly wouldn't mind unbloating it as others have done now that it's rooted. The TouchWiz UI is pretty corny compared to what I'm used to, but I guess I can get used to it.
Since I'm unfamiliar with TouchWiz, can someone give me a clue of some good candidate apps to delete and HOW? The phone's already rooted. I just need to know what and how to delete worthless crap. They all show up in the Application Manager under "All", but when I tap on one there's no option to delete it.
Also, I'm getting a notification that says, "AT&T Software update", Version V42_1_1307_1_2. I'm scared to proceed with this update because I do NOT want to spoil the phone with any upgrade that would risk my losing root access and control. Plus I've read Kit-Kat is laggy on this phone compared to Jelly Bean, so I'd rather have speed and performance over "new features" of Kit-Kat.
If there's already a guide for any of this, I apologize for not having discovered it yet. Thanks all!

Whoa whoa......slow down.
Dont go removing so fast. Many have deleted many vital OS files that way, brick in device.
Consider Titanium Back-up. TiBu will allow you to freeze the bloat first. You will then see if freezing will affect your operating system before removing. Others had deleted and the found out too late.

Easy man, it's not a crime to quote someone here. I am not targeting you, nor am I even aware that I quoted you before.
If you are helping someone out, that's great. But you offered no explanation as to what you were linking or how it would help. You did not offer any explanation of your experience with the app. No, you probably aren't required to, but do you know this other persons experience level?
I read all these Q&A questions as if the person on the other end is a newbie.
Do you want someone to just blindly do what you say and then brick their device? Or render it useless?
Of course you dont. Again a simple explanation of maybe your experience with the app would have done that.
I am not targeting you, I have got better things to do. I just know that not everybody is the same knowledge level here and people ( at least I do ) want to feel confident in what they are doing .
I know I don't want to be responsible for some bodies brick.
I only quoted you because that's what I wanted the OP to pay attention to.

well i understand your point and i apologize if I misunderstood you. the app i recommend is very simple to understand and use. it tell you what you can delete and what you can't delete it also automatically make a backup of anything you delete in case you delete something needed for the system and have the ability to restore whatever you delete or remove from the system.
