Hello.
I saw that there were several requests to create a forum for Galaxy A3 / A5 / A7, but without success. Therefore, I create this topic here in the Alpha series.
How to root the Samsung Galaxy A5 (my variant is A500M duos brazilian) without changing the Knox counter.
Tutorial:
1) Enable USB debugging on developer settings.
2) Download the KingRoot 4.0 apk in the official site and install it. ( http://kingroot.net/root/ )
3) Connected on the Internet, open the app and click the blue button and wait until 100%.
4) Ready. Device with root and Knox 0x0 (valid warranty).
I hope this helps.

Does this mean that if I root my galaxy alpha 850F with cf-root, and not installing the twrp or cm recovery my knox will be untouched? Because all I want to do is to root the device without any cm recovery.

Yes, but G850F is in the list of supported devices of this app... and I want obtain only root without custom recovery and without trip the infamous Knox
I'm a bit confused...
I would really appreciate if someone could answer my questions:
1. If I root galaxy alpha 850F with cf-root will I loose warranty?
2a. If I root with cf-root will I get also flashed the TWRP Recovery?
2b. Do I have the option not to flash TWRP Recovery?
3. Has anyone managed to root with KingRoot successfully without loosing warranty?
Thanks!

I can answer no.3 because ive done it and knox wasnt changed but i lost the possibility to update OTA. So now odin is the only solution to flash official lolipop.

Even if I don't root it, I will flash lollipop with Odin only, not OTA!
So kingroot can root galaxy alpha running lollipop without tripping Knox?
Hi guys. Very disappointed with L 5.0.2 on my A5.
1. Phone should have benefits of 64 bit, yet it is "stuck" with 32 bit. (Various benchmarks showing it).
2. The S Planer widget is gone after update!
3. The promised longer battery life is not fulfilled. Before on 4.4.4 was getting 2 and 1/2 days with one charge now the best I got is 1 day 8 hours.
More less decided to go back to KK 4.4.4.
Also no difference in phones performance. ..

Thanks ! When lollilop arrive in Brazil (SM-A500M duos), i will not upgrade.
well... back to KK4.4.4 and much better.
I was under impression than L5.x.x will unleash the full potential of 64 bit processor , but for now holding back to see what L 5.1.1 will do.
Till then I am OK with KK 444 as it doesn't cause any troubles, which I had on L 5.0.2...
Does anyone know of this works on the Alpha A3 (A300FU)?
--Edit--
Worked perfectly on the above model and did everything I needed.

Depends how you update. Just don't update with ota or pc companion.
1 Downgrade to 4.4.2
2 Root phone
3 Install recovery for locked bootloader
4 Flash rooted 4.4.4 zip in recovery
5 latest firmware and root remains
I am new to Sony devices (been a Samsung guy for years). I have had my Z2 less than a fortnight but already I'm itching to root it etc, problem is it seems a lot more complicated than Samsung devices. I was always switching between roms on my S4/note 2. I am on the latest firmware and would like to root it to be able to use xposed but I'm scared of messing it up and as the phone is under warranty don't want to end up with a paper weight.
Has anyone done a detailed tutorial for newbies like myself?
Thanks in advance
Scotty.

It's not really that hard and there are also of resources online that can guide you.
1 Downgrade to 4.4.2 is required as noone had found a vulnerability with 4.4.4.
2 Root phone
For step 1 and 2, Have a look at this http://www.xda-developers.com/android/how-to-root-the-sony-xperia-z2-xda-developer-tv/
3 install recovery for lock bootloader
Have a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785598
4 install a 4.4.4 zip through recovery. I recommend this one as its basically stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/stock-4-4-4-23-0-1-0-167-bug-free-t2929402

It depends on how you want to root, you can root and permanently void your warrentg or you can root and keep your bootloader locked
As the title said, I want to root my Ace 4 Without CWM.
I tried to root with Farmaroot, RootX, vRoot (now iRoot), Towelroot, etc. But it's failed.

I've heard from a friend that Root Genius (shuame.com/root/) works for the Ace 4 G313H, might be interesting for you to give it a try.
On a sidenote, I'd like to ask what the specs of your phone are (especially if its processor is Dual Core or Quad Core)

I don't think there is a way to root without CWM other than editing the system.img from a Kies update package and flashing it with odin. I have Galaxy Trend 2 that is almost the same phone. (vivaltonfc3g, 1 SIM + NFC) I tried every root methoid and did not find any that worked. Then I ported CWM and rooted. The bootloader is not locked, there is just a secondary bootloader embedded inside the boot images. (I don't know about USA-versions)
Tray This!
Use ODIN 3.09 first to install G313HUXXU0ANGK_ROOT.tar, and after that use Kingo ROOT v1.2.3 to check the root.

Hey guys.. Bought a new Sam Galaxy Alpha G-850Y and tried rooting it using Framaroot, Towelroot and Kingroot. Framaroot and Towelroot don't support mh device and when i tried king root it Failed at 70%(rebooted once at 53%). Didnt worry then now tried updating my software by OTA. It says Your Device has been modified . Checked SystemStatus it is custom. Then checked root by various root check apps The Results were Different . see screenshots attached. One says not rooted one says not properly rooted and one says Rooted. Now What to do... titanium backup and other apps which require root permision say I dont have root. Trued downloading Supersu but Didnt open properly. As i think m not rooted. Now i am thinking to properly root it and then unroot it.
I want my device status to official. How to??
Or else I want it properly rooted dont wanna get stuck in middle. Please help
NOW heard CF Autoroot works well but WILL IT TRIP KNOX?? [major question]
Any Other ways.. any help is wholeheartedly appreciated.. ?
If you want ro revert back to stock status then search for the proper country firmware on sammobile.com for your version of alpha and flash it with odin. It will erase all errors snd bring the phone to the fresh os.

To tell the truth, since 2000, none of my phones not broke. For each of them, since I discovered xda in 2008, I had modified software,so I do not look on the phone warranty.
Take your time, and wait for stable proven solutions.
For now this is warm, new, but unpopular (for the moment) phone.

Unrooting Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925F)
Hi. I'm a newby to all this rooting and custom ROM loading etc. After much deliberation, I managed to Root my Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925F and load Lineage 15.1.
I have to admit, I followed video's on youtube and don't really know how it all works, but I managed to get it done.
However, now some of my apps, more particularly my banking apps, won't work, as some banks don't support rooted devices.
My question is, is it possible to unroot my device, without removing Lineage 15.1 ?
If so, can you please assist in doing so?
I've got TWRP 3.3.0-0 and I used Odin3=V3.10.6...
