Sadly not working. If I access the *.bat as a admin the path couldnt be found. If I start it as a normal user its starting the deamon, but nothing more happened.

Do you know how can we enable voice call through GSM. This tablet only supports sms and 3G through SIM card.

Worked for me, but now I have some chinese Apps on my device. Also a kind of "Superuser" which looks totaly different than the normal one.
Most worried about the chinese Update Manager. Seems it want to automatically update my standard Apps like Skype, Google Maps... with chinese Versions.

Yes V-Root does work.. only problem is with the Chinese Supersu..getting used to it..

Yes V-Root does work. But i don't like Chinese Superuser,and want to change other Superuser.
So next step,
1) eny app install ("adbd Insecure",chainsDD "Superuser" or clockworkmod"Superuser","busybox" and so on)
and Start-up apps one time.
2)adb (root acount) use and mount
code)
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock /system
rm /system/app/Superuser.apk (it's Chinese"Superuser" remove)

if you don't looking for "Chinese Superuser",enter this code from adb shell.

thanks a lot bro i was able to root with v-root.. but it was in chinese ,, but thanks for my chinese collegue who helped to translate for me. once you connected the phone is just like start ,start ,start .... click the green button at the bottom right corner:good:

i used v-root and rooted sucessfully ,,,only thing is the v-root interface is in chinese ,,put device to fast boot(power+vol up) connected to pc and just click the green bottom right button ,,if you know chinese then should not be problem

Steps:

If you have trouble getting ADB driver installed use www.snappea.com, it can install a generic adb driver that will work for what we need!

Edit : I noticed in your old guide that you could remove the chinese superuser after installing english superuser and updating, I've done that
and the prompts now come up from the english superuser, but the chinese one has made itself a system app somehow and I can't delete it,
is there a solution for that or should I just disable it and ignore it.

So you get english superuser prompts when something asks for root? Try using Titanium Back up to uninstall the chinese superuser app.

It is actually quite simple to swap out the chinese superuser for the SuperSU or english Superuser if you know how. I posted how in my post about using Vroot.

Also - for most devices needing an ADB driver, just install snap pea from here: www.snappea.com It will install a generic ADB driver that will work just fine with any and every device I have used it on so far! You might also consider referencing or linking the developer of this tool since it is not of your own design. :good:

Download system app installer nd install phone.apk via that u will get an phone icon open nd make call.

it's not working, now it does not detect my SIM... Can you help me please? (and of course I forgot to backup the old Phone.apk )

Dude You have to entered the recovery area and choose from the list wipe/restore it will fix with you ,

Nope, that won't do the trick! Wiping/restoring to factory default state does not restore modified system files like Phone.apk in my case, it just deletes user data/cache... Fortunately, I've found the official firmware zip after I spent 4 hours searching on the web (Central European edition). After then, I've managed to restore the whole system.

Yes, I did the same thing following the instructions given above and now I don't have phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk, phone doesn't see the SIM card. Please, I have spent much more than 4 hours on the web looking for the official firmware of Acer iconia b1-711 and nothing, could you please give me the link that you have found or redirect me to where you have found it so I can use my tablet again?

Hi janrck. Do you have a Chinese variant Ascend Mate 2?
If you do then you are probably not fully rooted, Root Checker will tell you that you have root and supersu is installed, but it's not full root.

Hi guys i have found a one click root solution for alcatel OT7041X
What u do is go to this YouTube link http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CUowhS9MvC8
And then u download the second progtamm when downloaded u install and a screen with. A root button. Appears my isseu was that its in chinese but i still tooted my phone succesfully so u click the root button and the programm wil run and give a popup u click the otion on the right side. It wil then install some chinese sueruser like app and reboot what i then did was download superuser from the play store and install when installing SU will ask detect the chinese app and ask u if u want to delete and replace with SU. Click yes and voila ur pop c7 is rooted i hope this will help some of u guys since there is not much to find on this awesome budget highendp phone
If anyone has some tips how i wrote this cause its my first attempt on a post like this...
PS does anyone have or knows about a working custom recovery for this device cuase ive read on other posts that it will brick if u attempt this... Ow yes and before doing all above always makea backups ....
