[Q] Android 4.4 for st10216-1? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
I have an old Tablet from Trekstore (st10216-1).
In this Moment I have IvanRom 1.2 on my Device with Android 4.1.1.
My Tablet has an RockChip (rk3066) and a dual Core Cortex A9 processor with 1.6 Ghz.
Is there any possibility to upgrade my device to Android 4.4.x?

Just what I required. it's not a tough case and not a soft case however in between. terribly skinny and protecting if the phone is born. i actually adore it and also the value was thus affordable. Makes the phone easier to carry because it provides some grip, however isn't large. I don't perceive why they are doing not sell the clear cases within the stores. I had to appear on-line to urge one. Why get a fairly white phone if you hide it with a dark case?

I don't think so. It's one of those obscure tablets that no one has really heard about. It has a unique processor b/c it's custom made by that company and dont't think anybody has worked on it.
If you are looking for a good, rooting tablet, try the Nexus 7.
Thanks for the advice. I only got this to kind of introduce me to the Tablet world. The Nexus 7 is definitely on my top must have

There might be a way to do it. I know my friend got a cheap $80 tablet off of Amazon that just said Google on the back. It had no brand name what so ever on it. It turned out to be a wondermedia wm 8600 or something like that running some hacked gingerbread version with a fake market. It had an old touch screen, not even capacitive. I found a tool designed to root it and put official market on it and everything, and it worked for like 50 different models that were similar. It didn't make it great, but it worked better and at least had the official market. Maybe there is something like that for yours.
I can't think of the name of the program, but try looking at your model number info and try searching for that specific on Google. You never know what you might find.

[Q] Alcatel One Touch Evo 7 HD root

Hello to everyone!
I bought this machine in December, and it is a pretty solid stuff with its price.
Unfortunately, I couldn't found any solution to root this thing, it would be a bit necessary because of the small internal memory.
I tried several universal methods, but none of them helped.
It is a basic, stock 4.1.2 droid.
This is a HD version, not the standard One Touch Evo 7 (that one is rootable).
It is equipped with an ARM Cortex A9, Dual Core 1.6 GHz (Rockchip RK3066).
Can anyone explore a solution?

Hey I'm receiving mine in the mail in a few days. I only bought it for the cheap price so I could experiment with rooting whilst having good hardware. What are your experiences with it and did you find out how to root it?

[Q] Root for HKC P8666A Request

Hello all!
Did some searching and found that the HKC P866A did not have a home. It is a cheap $60 tablet from walmart. I picked it up for my kids. Sadly its full of the Google Apps and no room for anything else.
It is running Android 4.1 and has some kind of Rockchip 30xx variant dual core cpu.
Not sure if this is the right spot.
Can I get some help rooting it?

Will most Playstore Apps run on an x86 Intel Atom Asus me302c tablet?

I did some more checking and I'm wondering if most Android apps are compatible with both Intel Atom and Arm processors. My concern is giving an Atom-based tablet to a relative and having her favorite games and apps not run on an x86 architecture.
Here's the tablet: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231269
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you.
PS: Love XDA for the great help and knowledge I have gained over the years

Hi
When compared to ARM , x86 has less number of Apps support . But now a days with increase in Intel products its gaining more support . I had seen fifa and some other games had no support for x86 in past . I would suggest ARM instead of x86 if I had to ...
Thank you for the response.
I purchased the tablet from Staples for $170 CAD, new and sealed in a box. I was interested in a 10" tablet with an HD screen. I see that most 10" tablets have a 1200x800 screen while the Asus has a 1980 x 1200 screen. Any tablets I could find with a HD screen were over $300 CAD.
I will try out the tablet and, if it doesn't support the apps my relative needs, I can return if for a refund.

KB KB-T900 from Amazon?

I recently purchased this tablet from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MS52XC5/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It has Android 5.1 and would like to find out if it can be upgraded. I think the tablet is made by Kubi and is model number KB-T900, but I could be wrong and probably am. If anyone has any suggestions for how to upgrade, root or otherwise improve the device, I would appreciate the help.

I'm looking at recent one on Amazon as well. 10" Kubi, 4gb RAM, 64GB ROM, Android 7.0....
Says upgrades are downloadable. I also see its an MTK chipset so you can use the SPFlash Tool, which is just like Odin for Samsungs....
Have you ever found root?
Awesome specs for $125 !!!!!!!

No, I never did and, after a month or two, the device stopped working properly. I have yet to determine if it is the digitizer that’s gone bad or something causing the OS to run slow. I pretty much gave up on it after getting no answers to my question.
