Hi Everyone,
Didn't see anyone post the stock firmware ODIN files for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850A. I want to get it before I try to root my phone.
Or how can I extract it's stock ROM? After that and test, I'll upload it post a link to all.
Thanks.

Where did you find a root method for this device? So far, as I have been following, there is no known root method.

I think we are stuck without root...I have been hopedul, but after almost 6 months, it's time to accept the fact that we won't have root for this device.

Like a fool I installed Lollipop on my phone via Odin & now I find out no root's available?
Is there any way I can downgrade to Kit Kat?
I'm running a VZW S4 I545.
Thanks.

There is no way to downgrade once you've gone to OC1 via Odin or OTA.
Sorry
Not yet...You're stuck ! X.X
You might be able to root with KingRoot

*Sigh*
Live & learn.
Depends, if you odin'd the I545VRUGOC1_Neutered_Full_Odin then yes you can go back to kitkat. If you're baseband is OC1 then you're out of luck.

rooting
Use king root I have A10-70 in my hands rooted but don't Update when rooted
If you took the update you can root using Kingroot 4.1.0.703, it will root a VZW S4 running 5.0.1. It's worked for a few members so far.

And this is spam because...........
Anyone that took the OTA to 5.0.1 can root using this version. It wasn't possible with older versions.

WITH ENGBOOT ONLY ROOT FROM ADB IS POSSIBLE, DO NOT UPDATE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE SUPERSU ACCESS
Here is the update, it also contains a bootloader update?

I didn't mean "completely" in a way that it's unusable, but you only get root access via ADB, since SuperSU will not work. So that sucks :/

Quick question. How do I update using this file since it is a .cfg? Will this still work using odin, or do i have to update using a different method?
Thanks

You can try to rename this to : "update.zip" w/o quotas and update from stock recovery or HERE you got ADB sideload files. If i remember correctly bout ways you will wipe your devices , so make backups of whatever you got important on your phone.
Good luck
