Trouble Receiving Txt - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Ok so i didn't want to start another thread but I've been searching all over here and google with no luck. About a week ago i noticed all the L.P. ported roms popping up so i wanted to see what they had to offer. After which i noticed that i wasn't receiving incoming txt. No big deal. New roms have small issues in the 1st version. We all know this. So i restore my rock go to never fails no issues Fre3 2.26. Still no incoming txt. I can receive incoming mms, emails,i get 4g,I can send txt and people get them i have even got storm warning and Sprint sent me a txt when i was on the phone with them just no incoming txt. Im currently using a 3rd party app for txt and running Fre3 2.26 4.4.4, OC5 Modem/Bootloader.
What i have tried:
Full wipes x100
PRL/Profile updates
Sent myself a txt
Ive had Sprint update from there end
I have Galaxy Tools installed but don't really know or wanna mess with it being i dint really know much in that department.
I believe The problem is with in the sim card BUT i dont really know what I'm looking for to fix the issue.
If anyone knows what i should be looking for and what to change it too. Maybe if a developer on here may see this and could shoot me in the right direction id be more then happy to buy them a beer or two. But any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

I was on stock OC5 rooted since it became available. About a week ago I lost MMS completely. I rebooted my device just because it had been a while.
They were working before the reboot and not after, I did same things as you. I also checked APN and none were selected and the list was greyed out.
So I decided to flash PAC 5.1.1 just to test, everything works now.
I use Textra; I tried stock messaging on OC5 with no luck. It is very peculiar.
at least all is good with PAC (for me any way)
I hope you get yours figured out.

Maybe odin to stock oc5 and then root and get custom recovery...just a thought...maybe it just needs fresh start.

ED03 Root Issue

My brother just got a replacement phone and updated to ED03. I am trying to get him rooted so he can Tibackup his apps and data from his old FC.
Problem I'm having is the FascinateRoot_v02.zip is continuing to come back with errors. After the phone reboots the file can't seem to copy the su and busybox files to the phone.
Any ideas?
TIA

Odin this: http://www.mediafire.com/file/06al8prkgj29gps/cwm-recovery-ALL-3-30-FIX.tar and then immediately boot straight into recovery via the 3 finger method and then flash this: http://www.mediafire.com/?38vozx7n37u02a5 After flashing this open up titanium backup and it will probably tell you it could not obtain root but simply hit the problems buttons and download busybox and boom, you're rooted,
Just went out to have a smoke after failing the root and ya responded already, much thanks.

No problem, if you do it exactly as per my instructions it will give you root for sure. No errors or none of that garbage. The only problem that could happen is if you get a bad or corrupt download of the linked files.
I got a question ever since I rooted ED03 I have been having problems with first no 3g connection then not being able to send or receive texts. I had to go back to stock twice and wanted to know if the version of clockwork could cause the problem I was using i think 2.5 the red one. Will version 3 maybe work better? Or do you think my problem is unrelated to rooting/clockwork?

Completely unrelated. Try dialing *228, option 1, then option 2. Should help. If not, it could be a number of things, especially with the way Verizon's 3g has been for a lot of people lately. The fix for the 3g loss is either have them do a reset on your data, or, through their website, suspend the service on your phone, then re-enable it, it will reset the line, and usually fixes data issues.

[Q] question about reverting back to GB

i did the odinoneclick of ICS last night, and all was well. but not i want to revert back to GB. it still seems a little to buggy for me. so i want to wait a while for the devs to do their thing with it. plus i miss all my custom roms.
is there any way i can do this? i dont exactly understand but apparently the original leaked version did something to the bootloaders or something?
i have the stock ATT GB 2.3.6 rom ( incase i ever needed to return my phone ) i put that through odin ( its a .tar file ) would that safely bring me back to GB?
Did you ever do a nandroid backup on cwm?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
yeah i have a few of them. but from what i read that wouldnt work with the ICS i installed.
It works, i did it earlier. I have the att note.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
And i used the odin method to install ics.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
you used the oneclick odin? and everything is ok? baseband settings/modem whatever else? and all you did was flash backup in CWM?
I just restored back to gb and double checked to make sure everything works. I made a phone call, sent a text, and went on the internet. The baseband is the ics baseband but didn't seem to effect anything. just remember ymmv.

Hey guys just to give you all a heads up I also flashed ICS last nite with odin and just missed a few things like the camere not freezing on me so I went back. I just flashed the stock odin att tar and it booted up first time.
It had no issue booting but the phone app with just not even open so I just held volume up and down at the same time while powering down so I could factory reset it and wipe the cache and now everything is back to normal with out skipping a beat.
sorry if I made this longer then what it had to be but I just wanted to also give some mini instructions as well jsut in case anyone had a question or two.

I am pretty sure it does although I cant be certain because as soon as it was back up and running I put CWM back on and recovered a back up that I made right before Flashing ICS so all my stuff came back.
Also in any case I did make a back up of ICS in case stuff went really bad and say the bootloader was crazy or something and it messed up and my only option was to stay on ICS at least I would have a back up from a soft brick or something so if you have the room on your sd card might as well do it just to be safe.
yeah im definitely making a backup. well ill report back in a bit if it works
yup. using odin to flash stock att .tar file, then after its finished rebooting into recoery and wiping data factory works like a charm. back on good old 2.3.6

4G and internet work fine
Have you tried wiping and reflashing that RUU again just to make sure, and some say flash it twice... I do not myself.

If you flashed a RUU you would have the stock recovery. You need to flash a RUU not just a stock rom.
Here is the latest RUU

You should keep a copy of the RUU just incase you ever need it, but glad to hear you are back up and running.

I definitely will..thanks for your help man!.....
any idea why that happened??? @[email protected] have never been more scared to take a phone to verizon more in my life...especially that it was from craigslist.
it did the same thing on 3 different custom ROMS and even the RUU....like the phone's programming was corrupted...but wasn't?...makes me wonder about custom ROMS....i've always used them...even on my tried and true and trusty T-Bolt until the day the motherboard died......
I also should say some pieces of information that may help this case:
[NOT POINTING FINGERS]
I used Pimp my ROM on all of these.
I started having data issues on this ROM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943767
and then went back to this rom and had the same issues ==> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884085
And the same issue again on this one =>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1899085&highlight=battery+life
that same night i used skype and the flash on the back camera a lot (it was a modded apk of skype)...and my phone got really really hot....
next day I had the same issues switching back and fourth between ROMS...then I got desperate and finally made a help thread.
EDIT: having texting issues AGAIN. i swear this could be an outage
DOUBLE EDIT: IT IS.

. Numerous Verizon Wireless customers also reported problems making and receiving calls or text messages, particularly in the Molino area.
I live in MI...I wonder if it spreaded here
That is probably it.
Next time don't panic. It's very nearly always fixable if you can get boot to hboot even of you can't boot the OS or recovery.
Freaking out can lead to a lot of problems. Next time take a deep breath and relax and send me or someone else a gtalk message or PM.

Can't get past Verizon Unauth warning even with new .pit and stock rom

Hey everyone. I flashed the CWM touch recovery today, and now I'm getting that damn Verizon unauthorized software message.
I downloaded the stock .pit file and the stock VRALJB image from here
After that succeeds through odin, I still get the verizon issue. What am I missing?

Anyway, we're all good now, running Jedi X11.
Thanks though.

[ROM][ODIN][TAR] SM-N900P MI3 Stock Restore Tar

Credits: Our thanks to Samsung-Updates.com for posting MI3/MI5.
Until I have time to clean this up I figured I would post this now and we'll update it later.
It's more important to make sure people have this while testing new things.
Samsung-Updates.com has posted MI3 here:
http://samsung-updates.com/details/14398/Galaxy_Note_3_Sprint/SM-N900P/SPR/N900PVPUBMI3.html
MI5 Link:
http://samsung-updates.com/details/14398/Galaxy_Note_3_Sprint/SM-N900P/SPR/N900PVPUBMI5.html
As usual we're putting it up on Rwilco's repository. I am not doing anything with them though for a few reasons.
1) At the moment neither I or rwilco12 have a device to test with.
2) Given the issues with Knox I am leary in doing anything without addressing #1.
Link to Stock ROMs:
http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.php?dir=Files/Devices/Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900P)/Stock ROMs/
Download, flash in Odin/Heimdall. This current version will wipe your data.
TESTED AND WORKING - Great Work bud!
Any other DL links? Its not downloading anything.. On either link. Thanks
EDIT: Might be on my end I think it is working now. I already did something and messed it up. Very easy fix but I cant believe the n00b mistake I did lol. Oh well
Edit 2: Last one lol but link did work and was able to restore. Thanks!

Couple questions
I am roped with TWRP but want to reinstall the stock ROM again but keep my recovery and hopefully root.
Will this allow that? I'd so how do I flash it?
Also saw this was MI3 if I do flash this can I update to MI5 again after?

Mine was stuck on the yellow sprint screen. I went in the stock recovery and wiped data, and after that it loaded up perfect. So if you are stuck on the sprint screen, try that and it might help you.
