Hi i was wandering if there is any way to have the HTC one x camera apk or something like it on the xps, i realy like the function that lets you Take a picture while recording video
But i think the libs for that camera will never work on gingerbread Maybe one alternative way to have that function?

This will be in ICS, it's a Google feature, not an HTC one.
afaik htc one x camera feature known as image sense never work in any phone b'coz its related to htc sense and no one able to port sense into non htc device...

It's just their sensor. The sensor on the XPS also seems to be capable of burst captures and stuff, but I didn't test it yet.

It's not a screenshot, it's a snapshot in the same resolution as the video is, up to 1080p. I don't think the One X does that differently.

Need sony camera app port for jb roms

Guys we all love JB ROMS but the only thing we don't like is the camera quality ...camera app doesn't support more than 5MP and video recording is crap . So can any one PORT the stock camera app from ICS 4.0.4 to KXP and PAC ROMS .. then the ROM will be completed to full satisfaction
1+ on that, I cant even use the stock jellybean camera app on the FXP rom, it just lags and freezes.

I don't think this will ever happen.
To make photos up to 8mpx you can install a third party app.
OR
You can install PAC - default camera app is working pretty good and can take pics up to 8mpx
Thanks bro ... which third party app you suggest???

the Camera ICS+ is a good choice

Camera Pro is the best one. I ever try. Macro mode working, Video look good at high bit-rate (24p mpeg 14Mbps)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tequnique.camerax
the interface is not handsome, but do the job fine, and can be tweak to look less ugly.

..
Photo sphere camera cannot record video.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Forum Runner
..
Because Photo Sphere is a Nexus feature and it is not available on other Android phones.
You can get it through other ways but they are not stable and that is the reason that video-recording does not work.
..
Re: [Q] 4.2 camera
I think there is no such version yet. If it was you would definitely see it in the themes and apps section.

Can anyone post a link to photo sphere camera that is confirmed to work on LSD ?
I don't care about video as the standard camera app remains (or at least should remain).
Thanks

Roms upto sense 3.6 have working 3d camera . Sensai is the only Sense 4.1 rom which enables 3d camera .
And , when the dev says that "3D recording not working" , it means camera issue only . 3d pic and movie still works . Pics are mostly viewed by Gallery 3d plugin.
