Hello there. i own a Motorola Moto E, bought from the Indian Flipkart Market.
yesterday, i has successfully rooted the device using a guide here in XDA. After the install, i had issues while installing apps from APKs. play store worked fine. So i assumed that factory resetting the device will work. So i did a hard resent from the settings menu. after the reboot, the device wouldnt boot up/ i tried clearing dalvic and cache memory. nothing seemed to work. but after removing the cache, I saw a message saying öptimising app 1 of 50" that would end and then the device was frozen at another message "opening apps"and i waited for nearly 7 hours and that didnt go off. now im stuck here. can anyone here provide help for me? this is the only device i have for now.
Thank You
Shon John V.
Need details
Can you please provide more details? You said 'after the install', what exactly did you install? Point me to the guide/method you followed to root your phone.

hi. i was using my phone a while ago. but i got a framework error in my phone. i opened facebook and it force closes everytime. ive been getting a framework error for the past 2 days already. i decided to restart my phone in NORMAL. after that, i got stock on the MIUI loading page. i really dont know what to do. enlighten me please.
Its possible you could have flashed the ROM from a faulty link (have downloaded ROMS from other sites links and nearly ruined my phone cause it was missing something.) OR if your phone has been working in the past, then have you tried to repair permissions?
Was it something you may have triggered to cause it to say that? played with any settings? installed some root-only apps that didnt correspond well to your system?
Binary up to date?
Upon flashing a ROM again, have you allowed it that 10-15 min range to fully set up and boot up for your phone?
I would say just flash again. If you can, also wipe the data, cache, the whole 9.
Hi Everyone,
I have the Motorola Razr XT910 with Android version 2.3.6 (the latest update). I had issues with the signal since last update mid February. So after so many trials to solve the issue, I decided to do a factory resetting yesterday. What happened is the signal became better, but I receive a continuous message whenever I connect to the internet. The message says "Sorry! The process com.motorola.service.main has stopped unexpectedly, please try again." So I have to force close. I tried to search for a solution in the net but no help.
Kindly help me

If you're rooted I would boot into recovery and wipe cache/system etc.
If you're not and don't plan to, then the only thing I think you would be able to do and hope it works would be to format internal storage and remove your SD card, do another factory restore and see if that clears it up.
Otherwise you're probably going to need to root so you have more control over the internal data to wipe and start fresh.
That process that is crashing is a core piece of the operating system. Something got borked along the way for some reason. Don't fret someone here much smarter than myself will be able to help you, just not at 11:30pm at night

Thanks for the help.
My Razr is not rooted so I'll try the 2nd option.
BTW, I'm in overseas now and it is morning time here.
I hope this is the best place to post this. If not, I am very sorry. I have found a few posts with same message BUT all of them I found were when this happens after installing a rom or updating, etc...
I have a Virgin s2. I just have original stock rom, Ive done nothing at all to it. I changed out my batteries, turned it on, then after it got loaded I got a popup saying "unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped"! I restarted then as soon as i tried to do something, i received it again. I restarted again & didnt get message til I had opened google & was waiting for search results to come up when I got message saying something about couldnt find a mobile network (or something like that), then got the "unfortunately the process....." popup. It started popping up over & over, including when I got a phone call (which made it impossible to answer, however I was able to call them back okay). I have already tried:
taking out the sdcard;
booting into recovery then wiping the cache partition;
booting into safe mode.
The popup &problem still continued. Oddly, after my husband ran "CM Security" though it found no problems, it was a little bit before it did it again and even now it doesnt popup quite as often as it had been but it still is enough to probably make the day at work very aggravating lol.
Please say theres still some hope! I'm not able to buy another phone right now. I am capable of doing anything possible to save it if you just tell me what would be best to do. I saw somewhere when I searched Google say that installing a custom recovery would probably fix it. If so, please point me to where I can find all the necessary things &instructions I need. Or if it would be better to do a factory reset, please tell me how to do it on this phone (or if I just need to go to recovery & simply do it).
ALSO I do have an identical s2 except it is Sprint & I havent came across a detailed guide for flashing the s2 from Sprint to Virgin that doesnt require the newest paid version of cdma workship, which i cannot currently afford.
Thank you for your time & assistance.
FIXED (at least so far)!
SOLVED!!! (I hope:fingers-crossed
Went ahead & just backed up contacts to sd card, then did a Reset through Recovery. So far no "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" message. :highfive:

Great to hear you fixed (or partially fixed) your problem. The problem with updating stock roms using OTA or kies is that sometimes a factory reset or clearing the cache is required to remove some left over apps or unneeded files that might potentially make your phone give errors (like the ones you were experiencing). It is highly unlikely it is a software issue, unless it was a dodgy download, moreover unfinished file deletion or unneeded files would have caused this to happen.
Hello XDA,
Here is the deal. Today, i see some google apps updates. They include: Telegram, AndroDumpper, and (i think) most importantly Busybox. I let google play update them and i leave the phone. When i come back, i see my phone was rebooting.
Phone turns on>Cyanogenmod Logo appears>Lock screen appears. I can unlock it. The message: "Trebuchet has stopped working" continuously pops up and there's nothing i can do until it finally goes back to Cyanogenmod Logo. I tried turning it off, going to recovery and clearing cache and dalvik.
I don't know if this has to do with busybox. I don't even know if it updated before the problem started. I would like a solution that doesn't involve a total wipe and reinstall of my rom. If i have to do it, i will do it; but it has been some time since i last did it, so i will have to search for everything again (how to do backups and installing new rom).
My phone is a Moto G XT1032. I don't know how can i search my cyanogenmod version without turning my phone on :/
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Update: Now my phone doesn't force the soft restart. I can go to the settings. If i try to go to the main screen, the message keeps popping up saying that trebuchet has stopped working. Going to Settings>Applications also shows the message "Settings has stopped working"

I have a Sprint Note 3 and I am having the dreaded "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped" problem.
I tried every single fix I found online. Even the stupid ones I new wouldn't work. I finally caved and did a full wipe. Low and behold, on the very first setup screen the error message immediately popped up.
I am stock (whatever the latest version is) and rooted.
If factory reset doesn't work I don't know what else would work. That's usually the last recourse. Any suggestions? HELP!
Do I maybe need to re-flash the stock rom? If so, can someone please provide a link?
