A few months ago i asked Dell and they said that they'll release Lollipop for 3830 but they didn't say when.
Hope we will get it soon :beer:

And started Using It
I Just Noticed One Thing That One Speaker On Right Bottom Does'nt Work Check Out For Your Dell Venue
Just Play a Song And Put Finger over left one and check out..!!!
Really Sad With my Venue And if anyone can help me just tell me how to redeem warranty............!!!!!

terminal17 is correct dell venue only has one speaker to the left and the other one is mic.
Thanks kakagi...I also felt the same problem like u guys...but I asked in the dell service center...they told me its a mic...then I felt really stupid about asking the question

if you dont have usb, how you manage to charge your phone?
you still need the usb cable to flashboot recovery first though...
once you got the custom recovery, then you can flash root ...
I use.a external.battery charger I take the battery out to charge it the usb port dosnt work .

What ROM are you running? If you already happen to have StreakMod recovery installed, you can root it by flashing superuser.zip

you can search for Gingerbreak.apk (google it or search in 4shared). Worked for me a year ago, although it is not the advised way to root.

You can use gingerbreak 1.2 for that type of rom you can search it here on xda

If u have 2.2 then just install an app called gingerbrak
It worked fine for me on 2.2.2
But when I updated to 2.3 olleh then I had to use the recovery method......... Gudlukk

How many folks are still using their trusty Dell Venue? I had a Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 but am selling it to pay for a Nexus 7 I bought, plus I wanted something smaller and more pocketable. I found my wife's old Venue in a drawer, charged it up, and re-flashed it to 408 and rooted it. Running like new! I've always loved this phone. Something about the build just really appeals to me.
I've got a new screen on order as the glass is cracked.
So how many of these things are still in service?
I'm using it still with 408 stock plus rooted

Camera not necessary for me,so using it like it is,everything except camera and mute button works fine.
