So any additional info/results on these? Did alcatel decide not to distribute them? My cheap ebay tpu case came in and I have a hard plastic one enroute but it's not transparent.

Pretty much the same one is $3.78 with free shipping on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271867174414 That's the one I'm using and it works ok...they now also have hard plastic ones on ebay for $2.59 [ http://www.ebay.com/itm/31136984068...49&var=610459552705&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT ] but they are non transparent colors. I went with a matte black.
This is what I got, I don't like the snap on ones because they don't protect as much if it falls.

I'll have to answer this after I get back from vacation as that case and another are sitting at home..delivered while I was gone. I'm currently using the clear tpu case.
They're exactly like the Incipio Feather cases. Actually not bad for $3 shipped. A little bit of a sharp edge on the bottom of mine, but the cutouts are perfect. Fit is snug.

official transparent case now available - but I didn't like it
The official transparent case became available directly from Alcatel's own web store about a week or 10 days ago.
I ordered one, got it in, but I didn't like it.
It fits well. Seems well made. But two problems.
One - it's really shiny, slick, makes the phone really easy to slip out of my hand.
Two - the parts of the case that wrap around the sides are absolutely flush with the front, they don't stick out at all past the front, which is nice unless you put the phone face down: they don't provide for any clearance between the glass and the surface where you've set it down.
I'm going to send this case back.

Anyone have any experience with a case from Ventev? I've never even heard of them, but looking at their site it seems they make a lot of products.

Honestly never heard of them myself. The price looks like it may be on the high end for what it seems to be, but if it's good quality then it'd be worth it. If you get one, post back and let us know how it is. I have a cheap Ebay TPU case on the way for now but I'm keeping my eye out for a good one.
I havnt heard of that case series, im waiting for the Commuter Case by Otterbox.. Still hasnt been released.. :/

Have you received your TPU case? I ordered one yesterday but I got an email today from the vendor saying that they just found out they wouldn't fit AT&T phones and they refunded me. Now I'm not seeing any TPU ones on ebay.

I ordered mine off eBay 2 days ago and got the same message, he also gave me a full refund. Time to start saving pennies for an otterbox!

Thanks, I saw that. I've had 2 piece cases on my other phones in the past (incipio, body glove) and I actually prefer the cheap TPU ones best. The cheap TPU ebay/amazon ones (like this: http://tinyurl.com/ct4ktzd) are really low profile, slide in and out of the pocket easily, are flexible yet firm enough to absorb shock from reasonably high drops and only cost like $3. Hopefully someone comes out with one for the OG soon. I might buy one of those ones you linked to in the meantime.

Ventev Case
The case arrived and fits the AT&T LG Optimus G E970.
The case consists of 2 parts, a TPU case and a Polycarbonate back cover. The Polycarbonate back cover can be taken off and you can then just use the TPU case.
All buttons remain functional with the case even though the case covers them, and all of the ports and the camera remain functional and accessible.
I have no problem slipping in or taking the phone out of my pocket with the case on.
The case does add significant thickness and heft to the phone, but the case seems solid.
I should mention that I ordered the case from Amzer.com, but it looks identical, and has Ventev printed on the back Polycarbonate cover.

There are cutouts for both the bottom and top mics.

The notification light gets covered up unfortunately.
Here's some crappy pictures. Only complaint is the tpu rubber part fits really tight. It was hard to get in and lifted up the corner of the screen protected. But took it straight from mailbox and put on phone, so maybe I should have let it warm up.

I bought XtremeGuard protectors when they were 70% off (I got 2 of them @ $1.50/each). They are pretty good, and the same material as ArmorGuard and InvisiShield. If you are looking for low price, I would recommend them, but they do not cover underneath the center button (they have U-shaped cutouts, rather than holes). Good enough until I can get the InvisiShield on sale. I do like the feel and protection provided by the wet-apply protectors.
I also got "Black Candy Skin TPU Gel Case Cover For LG Optimus L9 P769 (T-Mobile)" from Amazon (was $1.29 + 2.94 S/H). The case is slim, and slips off easy enough, as well as slick enough to not get stuck in my pocket or pick up dirt. They do cover the buttons with indents in the thermo-poly-urethane. The volume buttons work pretty well, but the power button is a little harder to use. It works for now until they develop nicer cases for the phone.

I got the Case today, I got this on ebay for $9.50 with free shipping and its called P769 3 in 1 Travelers hard case holster. there are 2 color available white and black with a rubberize finish on it, i got the white one for now.
I really like this case, at first i was thinking of not using the Holster because I just want a 1 piece hard back cover for the P769. but this case and holster works really well together so im going to use both. the holster can be also a landscape/portrait stand for the phone. the case slide to the holster smoothly both in and out and feel secured when they are attached together.

I got the EZguard Screen protector for $4 (4pcs) on ebay and its 100% GARBAGE!!!
The screen protector is already scratch up out of the envelope, installing instruction is somewhat not clear... I read somewhere that it supposed to be wet install but still its pure garbage i tried it. i still got 2 out of 4 screen protector.. well its $4 cant complain anymore.
Im going to get the Skinomi or IQ LIQuidskin on amazon later. they got good reviews so i think that should work.

I have this case. It does work well. The "kick stand" will prop the phone up in both landscape and portrait orientations.
The case does add a little bulk. It has a silicon/rubber soft layer that goes around the phone and a hard shell that wraps around that. Should provide good protection.

Since this case was close to what I wanted: A "clam shell" case for the phone to put in my pocket, I went ahead and bought it in black.
The clip came off very easily. Too, easily. I'd be afraid to let my phone dangle from my belt with that clip.
Anyway, as you pointed out, there was a "gear like circle" protruding from the case after the clip was taken off. I carefully removed it and made it flush with rest of the plastic with a dremel tool. I doesn't look too bad.
Bought this universal case with elastic edges for $14.99 from Target. Magnetic front clasp. Phone fits snugly, very comfortable to hold or wear in pocket-feels secure (feels cumbersome on belt). Added screen saver for L9 from T-Mobile for additional $16 (believe). Screen protector was well worth it to cut fingerprint grease.
bought 2 of these phones for my parents and was looking around for good quality cases. Just thought I'd share my findings :
1) For my mom : Tech21 White snap case for LG optimus L9 P769 (refer to T-Mobile Website, shows middle camera hole) :

I too ordered these first... And also had the exact same issues you do/did. Needless to say, I sent them this email (coped word for word) and was refunded. Then I order what's in my previous post above this one, and they are wonderful! Here's the email"
After receiving 6 of these screen protectors, I must say, they suck. I was expecting to keep a few as backups later on, but no... This item is so ****ily made that I used 5 of them to even get it close. I threw the 6th in the trash, because that's about the only thing it is good for. I have never had issues installing a screen protector. Its normally pretty straight forward and easy. Not this product. The moment the backing is pulled off, the static cling attracts every dust particle in the known universe before you can even line the damn thing up. Even after lining it up...FIVE TIMES, the things still weren't cut correctly. But, I guess you get what you pay for, so my bad.

I also ordered the Bounce case (it shipped today) and the crystal screen protectors. The Bounce case looked to be the best combination of value, looks, light weight, and protection. I'll report back on their performance once I've got everything (The screen protectors are the only item I've gotten so far)

My wife has a TPU for her HTC one and access to the buttons suck!
the bounce looks like a very light weight skin....no additional protection except the fact that it will help avoid getting your phone dinged!
I'm sure once the phone is officially out we'll be getting better cases...patience is not a virtue

Spigen is really all over the road on their pricing. First the $1 promo on select items, then they jumped to $29.99, then $34.99, now down to $24.99 its fine to lower the price but they better fix the ones they charged and haven't shipped and perhaps fix those that just shipped as well. It would be good for customer relations.

I would encourage you to make it known via email to them, and get a refund on the difference, clearly someone is messing it up and its going to cost them sales.

This looks phenomenal. Just wish it was a bit cheaper. For those who have used flip covers in the past how do you feel about them compared to regular cases? I just ordered the neo hybrid as my first note 3 case and currently have a Seidio active on my note 2 which I like(although it's a bit bulky). But I'm thinking about trying the above Seidio Ledger case when it is released. My biggest concern is it becoming a nuisance with the extra flap hanging around, especially when taking pictures or attempting to use with one hand. Thoughts? Experiences?
I had the Slim Armor View on the GS4 and I didn't find it intrusive at all, I simply flipped the cover back and used the phone as if it wasn't there. The Ledge from Seidio looks to be the same. Obviously when using the camera you won't want the cover folded back even if it does line up, the extra plastic in between the image and the lens will likely cause for crappy images.
Still its a small price to pay for full protection and a view window.

Received the Bounce from Spigen the other day and without phone inside it fits my Seidio Active holster from the Note 2 very well. The top half of the holster that the screen faces doesn't appear to be wide enough to protect it edge to edge, but sold my Note 2 on 8/31 so I cannot compare.
Yes, I am one of those that uses a holster. At work only though.
I am 6' 3" and 240lbs so I tell myself it doesn't look as obvious, but my wife and kids say otherwise

Seidio should have the Surface and holser friday . Have a couple hybrid Spigens now but I need my surface case and holster. I just don't want to pay the initial price. They will be half price in 6 months.

I have the bounce and it compliments the phone very well. And it looks classy to me. Gives me a good grip too. I am actually preferring it over my sview for now.

In my opinion there is a few interesting positions. I'm using Nillkin frosted shield and for me it's perfect but white colour is not a white anymore... It became dirty-yellow and it's not nice

i want my case to protect the device, not to just be weared. i bought some silicon i think with look like back of sgs5
And what about Nillkin Sparkle leather? It's similar to SGS4 case and it protect whole phone

I think it's cool but it depends if someone want to use front-cover case or not
I just saw it but i dont know if it would protect your phone from falling. check the youtube and screens how the case looks on the device.
I bought that one but in black:
back is like s5 and the inside is like Spigen and it's made of flexible TPU material. I just don't know how thick it is so it would protect from every fall. In 2 weeks i will get it so i will tell you how it's worn

what i don't like about the second case @plageran has shown? it has this plastic thing to hold phone on stand - i don't like plastic on case.
i'm not here to hate everything but i'm not a fan of 'S-Line' which @ignasigh likes.
i just don't like when it shines, also like sides of first @plageran case

The case fits quite well, the phone is a bit thicker (but still bit smaller than finger), quite good in touch too.
i like to write messages with this case, only.. i rather do not use cases so thats just for fun.

I can recommend case I'm using. accidently dropped a few times my phone, sometimes landed on screen but nothing happened.
Case does its job but like every case .. phone is somewhat thicker so maybe that's why i drop my phone sometimes

Yeah, but Spigen doesn't make a real one. The only way to get the Quick Circle functionality with Slim Armor case is to buy the knockoff.
