tried with reflash partition (pit) should help it boot again, or go into recovery mode and wipe factory/data

if your experiencing a boot loop after flashing go into recovery and wipe data see if that helps

bootloop happens when the Rom corrupts during installation or installing any other application. or some people using ROM Manager . Never use ROM Manager you will loose the cwm. Download any ROM which supports Odin. flash it you should be fine. Then you can switch back to your favorite ROM. this is a good rom you can flash via odin.

PS : if you don't like to flash ROM just flash CWM via Odin which should give you access to CWM. you can restore you backup ROM if you have one or have any other ROM in your phone memory.

I was facing the same problem some days ago, but after surfing this forum, I realised that if you have Kies running in the background, Odin will behave oddly and will not flash the firmware by going into a bootloader loop.
I suggest that you re-install the drivers again and make sure that Kies is not running in the background when you are flashing through Odin (just fire up your Task Manager in Windows and terminate the Kies process).
Hope this helps you...

Hi XDA,
I got a S5830i from my friend to do a system backup because the custom ROM doesn't boot. I read that I have to do it with Odin v3. But there is the problem. I installed every driver, even KIES (It doesn't run) and the Odin doesn't recognise it. Only the Odin v4 can see it. So I tried with it and made 4 file from a tar.md5 file, it ended successfully but it doeasn't boot. I always get a bootloop with 2 different stock ROM. Unfortunately I can't try it with another computer because I only have a laptop which is run W8 and if I know it right, Odin need W7.
So my question is that why don't the Odin v3 recognise this phone?

Did you try going to recovery and wiping data and cache after flashing? I always have to do that after flashing with Odin, although I use Odin v1.85 or v3.07 for flashing. If you want me to attach them, ask me.
Press Thanks button if helped.

Somehow I solved it but I don't know how. I plugged the phone and ta-dam the Odin recognised it. I didn't do anything and now it's working. Finally I managed to get beck to the stock ROM so now everything is OK.
Thanks for the answer and maybe if you know why does it worked suddenly please write it down because I' m dying of curiosity. :silly:

What isn't working? Did it flash successfully but not boot? Just do a factory reset. If it didn't flash completely, then you have to let us know what happened before it failed.

Ok, so typically when people say they flashed a rom, that means a custom version through a custom recovery. But you said earlier you tried to install through Odin. This is an important distinction. If you tried to flash a custom rom and it didn't work, then flashing the correct stock firmware through Odin will resolve. If you flashed through Odin and it gave you that warning, then you need to find the right one and re-try.

Yup what i tried to do is flash an arabic rom instead the Chinese stock one but if failed on the phone it said invalid at the end so if i flashed the Chinese stock one back from odin will it work or not
Yes, flashing the original firmware via Odin should get you working again.

will it work if i used samsung kies recovery
Possibly, but if the system had already been modified, I find Odin to be a more reliable fix.

I'm assuming you are trying to flash stock rom with odin? Have you repartitioned your S2 in the past? If not have you tried to download the stock rom again or a different stock rom and try again?

Hi!
Problem solved.
Yes I had tried to flash a 4.1.2 stock ROM via ODIN 3.09. It seems to be the USB drivers with some problems... I changed the pc and cable, and it worked flawless, only one attempt with same ROM and version of ODIN.
