How?? Simple-->
1. Download the latest google search app from this link. (I DO NOT own the file. I'm just sharing it)
2. Install it over the older version.
3. Install Google now launcher from play store..
4. Download lib files.
-->If you're on LP, paste the lib files in lib/arm/ of zip to data/app/com.google.app.android.quick...../lib/arm
-->If you're on KK, paste the lib files in lib/arm/ of zip in /system/lib. Set permissions rw-r-r. (I don't know of these libs are necessary[emoji14] )
5. You're done
Changes-->
Whole new app drawer. (I prefer the older one though[emoji4] )

Using it....faced a little bug....some front line apps are overlapping in app drawer....but after some time it working fine.....can u make some launcher customizations???

Maybe that's bcoz gnl is your current home. Change it and try again.[emoji4]
I tried
I got it uninstalled by using app downgrader applicaion from playstore.
For those who can't uninstall updates just download this app and select the apk version (you have to download the apk) you want to downgrade to. Once done, go to google application's app info and now the uninstall updates option will be available for use.
This version of Google App and Google Now is smoother than the Playstore's version, but for god sake that app drawer is awful.

Delete the mms.odex file from /system using root explorer and reboot..
It should work fine....

if you are interested in getting system apps from any stock rom baseband firmware without having to flash stock rom you can look at my thread

The only problem is that all the apps will be odexed so you will have to run it through kitchen and deodex them all which only takes a few mins if you already have kitchen set up ready to go - unless of course you want the odex versions

oh thanks, but as I said in op, this is for users who accidentally deleted system app or want to mod stuff but they have no time to download full rom.

Yes the google dialer works great. You must be rooted, and manually install the googledialer.apk into System/priv app, set permissions, reboot. Then you must create a shortcut to the app via a launcher (like nova) as the icon will not appear in your app drawer. I'm running it now, works great.

Did you try and disable the stock dialer so you only have the google dialer?
No, and do not do that either, it will fail on the lg software. This is the only current method while running the stock rom and will probably be the only method.
Anything special you had to do? I've put the apk in the correct location and changed the permissions and rebooted and using Apex I try to use shortcut and nothing shows up. I just check App Manager and it's listed.
Update: Never mind got it working. Forgot to install.

Wtf, lg pulled the doodle option for writing on pictures! I used the phone

No, it just adds another dialer (with location search - nice) . Your in call action will remain lg.

No. It's just the interface prior to pressing send (just like any playstore dialer). After that the lgTeleService.apk takes over...

You can only delete content. Only Mods can delete posts.

A while ago I had to do a APK, but it's not good.
But now I prefer this way. When I want to change other Themes, then it Remains to be icons pack Note5
I just couldn't get Chrome to work if i change it's icon. All other app icons are successfully changed. I changed the icon in minimap.xxxx
