LG G4 Weather Flashable Zip! - Verizon LG G3

First off, this is NOT my work. I just took liberty of packing it up into a flashable zip file. All the credit goes to @LastStandingDroid. Please visit his OP here and thank him for all the work he did to bring G4 apps to the G3!
1. YES this is a flashable zip!
2. YES this works with Xposed!
3. MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE YOU FLASH!!!
All the usual disclaimers apply: I am not responsible for what you do with your device, nor is it my fault if you can not read or follow directions. If you do not understand the directions, this is not for you. If your device stops working, falls off a ladder, gets eaten by a cat, explodes, you lose your job because the alarm did not go off, a child steps on your foot and spits in your eye, your device won't boot, it catches on fire it is not because of what I posted.
Directions:
1. Download zip and remember where you put it.
2. Boot into recovery.
3. Wipe cache and dalvik.
4. Install zip file
5. Reboot system.
6. Get coffee because it's good, and what else do you do when waiting for your device to boot up!?!?
7. Place weather widget on your screen of choice.
8. BLAMO! LG G4 Weather widget!
9. Show your friend that have iPhones how cool and fun your Android Device is.
10. Watch this!
What does it look like you ask..............

Odd. Are you using xposed?
Well you can try the following.
1. Extract the folders form the zip.
2. move files to System>Apps
3. Set folder permission to rwxr-xr-x and apk permission to rw-r–r
4. Reboot and it should be there.

I do wish they would make a version where it shows connectivity. I use gravitybox for that but even the smallest omni style traffic monitor takes up more room than I'd like.

I used it without issue on my G2 vs980 before I got my G3 vs985. I did however have xposed installed and had stock G2 weather uninstalled in order to run xposed so I don't know how it will react if you have G2 weather on your phone.

I am sorry to tell you I have no idea how to make a CWM zip..I am not a good dev
But it's really easy! Just copy and paste, like you use to do on your PC.
Of course you can share it, if it works (it should, like my screenshots says )
There is a way to add the shortcuts, but as I said, I am in pretty alpha state with modding the SystemUI.apk, I always get errors while repacking
I allow some devs to add the shortcuts, because I don't really want them to keep the stock AOSP look
Read this: When you replace your SystemUI.apk, IT COULD STOP WORKING AND YOU HAVE TO SOFT RESET YOUR DEVICE. AFTER RESET IT SHOULD WORK FINE!

I respect your work, but let me know what do the files from framework-res.apk in your modified SystemUI. For example groups sym_keyboard and there are some. others.

I just wanted to say that some of the files in this SystemUI superfluous, or are there by mistake. I'm sorry if I offended you something.
i did this with and am missing the notification bar?
Also it appears i cannot copy to the folder now using Root Explorer and am getting ""you cannot paste here because the file system is read only"
Any ideas?

Since Unicon no longer works correctly with the LG G3, I have decided to mod some of the stock APKs due to how insanely ugly they are. I will post some screen shots and I can do some additional upon request.
The reason I specifically chose the ones I did was because I am also using Desktop Visualizer and when you use that, notifications on the icon no longer, the ugly hideous ones are still in the app drawer and on the lockscreen.
Stock ICONS That were transformed:
1. LGCameraApp.apk
2/3. LGContacts.apk, LGTeleService
4. LGEmail.apk
5. LGQMemoplus.apk
6. LGUSMms.apk
Installation:
1. Download the APK files
2. Use Root Explorer and navigate to system>priv-app and system>app for LGUSMms.apk
3. Rename all apks you are replacing by adding .bak at the end (No recovery or ability to flash so keep them)
4. Copy the APKs in priv-app and set permissions to rw-r-r (LGUSMms.apk DOES NOT GO IN priv-app)
5. Copy LGUSMms.apk to system>app and set permissions to rw-r-r
6. Reboot and viola!!!
Contacts and Phone Must go together or it won't show the proper icon because the icon is fed from contacts...You have been warned!
Downloads:
system>priv-app:
LGCameraApp.apk
LGContacts.apk
LGEmail.apk
LGQMemoplus.apk
LGTeleService.apk
system>app:
LGUSMms.apk

There are various ICON packs that do not work such as fushigi, bottle caps, Boss, Faded, the ones that mask every icon as well do not work on unicon, I would not have done all this work for nothing...I emailed the DEV and I am working with him trying to see whats causing it. I came from the HTC One and this was def not a problem

Have you flashed the xperia home port? Have you modded your system ui? If yes then gradient one should work. Are you directly installing home release before systemui mod?
Please for god sake just let me know what steps are you following. (Don't say the one in op)
And as for the compiling error, I'm giving you the home release directly from my system. So no, there's no compiling problem @anisingh62

It won't work unless Systemui is modded.
That's why I need testing. Tried and worked on RR milestone 1
I will be needing your Systemui for that so give it to me
Next up is PAC MR 1

HOWTO config double tap to launch camera

This Mod has been tested, only in 5.1.1 firmware (COH4)
In order to have the feature double tap to launch "anything", you just need root and an sql editor
in your sql editor:
1. Find Settings Storage (it's a different name for every language)
2. Tap on system
3. Tap on search icon and write "double"
4. in the entry named "double_tab_launch" place "1" in "value"
5. if you dont have a entry named "double_tab_launch_component", made it. In value place this:
Code:
com.sec.android.app.camera/com.sec.android.app.camera.Camera
reboot and it's done. Double tap in home, launch camera.. If you want to launch other apk, it's easy. For example, to launch whatsapp, in "double_tab_launch_component", place:
Code:
com.whatsapp/com.whatsapp.Main
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

my sincere apologies.
In fact, I can just ensure that this works, on Android version that I have on my phone.
However, I should have mentioned in OP, in what version i tested it. Sorry for my omission.
My android version is 5.1.1, more exactly the XXU1COH4.
OP Edited, and many thank you for your feedback.
regards
I did what you said it does not work

carefully check what you have written.
You need to have correctly written the entry name and value
People take time follow the steps is not that difficult!
Works perfectly fine!

Why messing around with SQLeditor?!
Launching camera (or any other app) by double tab home button can be easily enabled via Wanam's Exposed or Gravity Box. :cyclops:

Actually I didn't mean you, mea culpa! But the ones not being able to follow these easy steps and crying around it wouldn't work.
I have this option already enabled via Xposed, I only thought the MOD would launch the app via double tap homescreen.
