I need help,
Some pictures and videos got deleted from my phone recently and I know there is a way to recover them without root. I tried Recuva but it did not detect my phone. I later tried Android Data Recovery Pro. But it didn't work once I tried using it through WiFi. There was an error message.
So I'm wondering, if I root my phone and then I try for example DiskDigger. Will it still be able to recover my files after I root?
And does anyone know of any other ways I could try recovering the files?

Search didn't turn up anything. I used this thread
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/...ur-vibrant-and-return-to-stock-phone-pc-error
to recover from a soft brick, now I'm trying to re-root so I can restore my nandroid backup but no apps are installing. Can't install rom manager, titanium, etc. It immediately says download was unsuccesful with no reasoning. Internet is working fine over wifi. Any suggestions?
I also just disabled wifi and tried it from the mobile network, still no go. I don't know what to do now. Please help!
Also I did not restore any apps yet, and I have tried clearing the cache in a list of several apps I found on another thread having the same issue (including market) which did not work.
I think I've found a way around this by downloading the apps I needed (one click root and ROM manager) onto my droid and copying the .apk files over, so I can get around this problem, but can someone explain to me what I did wrong?
Hi Friends,
I have just installed Jelly Bean 4.3 in my Galaxy S3 thru OTA. But its a bit lagy. People are suggesting to do a factory reset after installing 4.3 so that it will not be lagy.
I have many games, apps installed and I need the games' saved files and data to be backed up and restored after factory reset. Please let me know a way for this. My phone is not rooted so that I will not be able to use some backup apps which requires root for backing up games data files. I have some 100+ downloaded apps and games which I need to backup and restore them after factory reset. Help me!
Thanks in advance.
Without root you will manually have to copy and paste the saved folders from your internal sd card, there is no way to backup or restore the apps themselves.
So when I moved from the Evo to the S3 I took the advice of many to use MyBackup Pro and I don't remember any issues. Decent interface to save the data you need and skip what you don't. Mine's also unrooted and am about to do exactly what you're doing for the same reason - I'm banking HEAVILY on it working well... wish me luck, and good luck to you.
Hi, I have a big problem.
I recently update my mobile to kitkat, but the whatsapp photos, camera photos are in the phone memory and I doesn´t see it :crying::crying:
I lose all of them... I use diskdigger and undeleter but it doesn´t recover any photo.. and there were about 3000.
(I update to kitkat by flashing it)
Please anyone can help me? :crying::crying::crying:
If you haven't got a nandroid backup or even a normal backup, then there's no other way to retrieve your lost files! And I guess there was a ton of warns about backing up your system before modifying it. (Next time don't do it)
As for an alternative solution, can't you get those images back from other chatters' devices?

Click to collapse
But there are too many photos...
I make a hard reset, but if I go back to JellyBean and use the Mass Storage with a Pc tool like Recuva or another can be useful? or its imposible?
Atleast some pics should be recoverable this way.
But the more you do resets and data writing, lesser would be the chances of recovery
So I tried to flash marshmallow update via Odin. It looked like it installed sucessfully but then when I tried to boot up, it didn't work so I have to restore the nandroid backup. After that happened, I literally have no IMEI and I think the cause of that is the EFS folder got overwritten from the marshmallow update.
I was careless and forgot to backup my EFS. The Radio seems to work fine though. Could anyone possibly grab a working EFS in a tar or .gz format so I can fix my phones mobile data?
My Phone is A Galaxy S6 (SM-S906L). 5.0.2 lollipop.
P.S. I don't have a Windows 7. I use a Mac. Any programs for a Mac that could possibly fix my phones IMEI?
OR, is there any way I can change the IMEI with a root browser?
I made a back up of my smasung phone using smartswitch, the samsung phone stopped working recently and i have got a new android phone which isnt samsung and i cannot seem to connect to smartswitch to restore the backup to the new phone. I have seen software that claim to do it, but they are not free and look like malware. is there a reputable software that i can use to restore the backup i made?
I am comfortable with rooting the phone and stuff, was thinking of changing the build.prop to a samsung phone but not sure if that will work to connect to smartswitch app.
the most important thing is the wifi settings, the file is saved as the .ebk format and searching online shows its a ebook format, which doesnt make sense.
any help will be appreciated
thanks.
