Hello,
Recently i brought a Xolo Q800 which is a rebrand of chinese Gionee GN708w. I rooted my phone and installed the official rom of Gionee because they updated it to Android 4.2.1
Now the problem is they have a software update but i cant install it as people say it will mess up my phone. And i am not able to find the complete Rom package with that update. As there are litrally none developer with this phone.
Now i want to know can i any how implement that software update into the rom. I know how to use Android Kitchen.
Please help and suggest a method to do so.

now,its have 4.4.2(kitkat) thats have a some problem.Like-facebook messenger not work.its not give any notification when messege recive.and in some application also have that type problem.that have good hardware but it have problem in software.!
its have 2gb ram,16gb internal and octa core proccesor.!
i want lollipop rom of this mobile.!Please anyone make for me!

This phone is working good but it must need updated from kitkat 4.4.2 to android lollipop version. So we wish for any lollipop custrom rom should be given.

lollipop update has come for this phone which is of upto 540mb

Good news guys, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with amigo 3.2 is coming soon for Gionee S6/Blu Vivo 5/ Qmobile noir z12/Allview soul x3/ Condor allure a55 slim later this month may be on 24th of August, date is not confirmed but it will be this month.. You have to be on any previous version of Gionee S6 firmware for the update.. I have already Flashed Gionee S6 firmware on my Z12.. And I am now waiting for the update..

Can you post quick instructions on how you flashed the Gionee S6 firmware? Do you have a link to the .zip file that you used? Finally, did you lose root and have to complete that process again?

Cheers Guys !!! I got the marshmallow update today in gionee s6. There are many new feature which is aweosme. But one problem is bootloader is locked and I am getting difficulties in unlocking the bootloader as well as to root. Any suggestion guys ???

I installed gionee stock firmware but now its saying invalid imei did I do something wrong any help is appreciated.

Did you flash the stock rom of Gionee s6 ? you can find it in firmwarefile website.

Are you on Gionee S6 firmware?
Probably not
I don't know how I would be able to tell if I was on
it or not. Could you explain what that is? I'm just used to going into settings and updating the software as the updates come.

I installed the update this morning and everything is running good. No glitches that I have experienced at the moment.
