Description:While something in Blisspop is broken, I decided to use lightweight and simple rom as a test base for changes. My choice laid on AOSP. And i liked it. So... It's just pure AOSP with couple of apps replaced by CM's ones (Browser, Gallery).

As I know, bug appears only if compiled with 4.9 toolchain. AOSP is compiled with 4.8 toolcain (I used sabermod).

I know about it. I just want to say, that 4.8 is default one. And I haven't noticed any difference in perfomance between 4.8 and 4.9. So... Do we really need to use 4.9 toolchain? I tnink, no.

Fixed. Now it works.
Bootloops for me. Wiped data, system, caches, installed zips with TWRP, rebooted to system and I can't pass the loading screen (whirling dots).

First boot takes a lot of time. Especially with gapps. Maybe 1 hour or more. Creating art caches is a very long process.
It's not the best idea to install Chrono kernel on AOSP (if you done this). You will get bootloop. Stock one is alredy built from latest Chrono sources.
Uploaded zip should be fine. I tested it.

I really hope, that if I don't know how to install a kernel (yet), then I didn't do it. Anyway, I did not wait that long. Maybe that was the issue. Will try it again, and leave the phone overnight in the charger... Will give feedback tomorrow. Thanks.

Can someone pls tell me if ART is working correctly on CM12 / 5.1.1 ??
Because on latest CM11 from 05/05 ART is completely unusable .. sometimes Maps FC .. (even if i wipe data of that app) and the biggest problem: RAM Management is totally crappy... i'm just trying to play "real racing 3" with ART .. and no chance.. the Phone runs immediately into OOM...(even with 300MB zRam) ---> kernel reset and that's it !
After switching back to Dalvik everything works perfectly again.
I can confirm, that ROM is working on my wife's ACE2. I was rushing the first boot. User experience is better then I expected, ROM is not resource hungry, however I will try to find a bloatware remover, as where I use Google's apps, I would like to remove the AOSP ones.
Great ROM, thanks for providing it, keep up the good work.
My mobile cellular is not working, but rom is fine.what am i missing?
Edit:thanks [email protected],just added apn manual.

No Signal ?? Check Baseband .. (settings ---> about Phone)
Make sure u've latest official 4.1.2 ROM installed before u use any Custom Roms. (u can't use this ROM with GB as a base..)
Check also for codina/codinap (NFC or non-NFC)

Do you mean mobile data? If so, add APN manually.
But... One user from 4pda reported me, that for him it doesn't work even after adding APN. I don't know what's the reason. Maybe... I modified RIL a little to make it work on AOSP.
What battery life are you getting average?

Ok I am confused why are the build dates of all the files JULY but the commits are as new as 10 hours ago?
Anyone seen any performance improvements or other user noticeable improvements over lets say faux or krypton? Just curious looks like way more activity on this kernel

Not necessary unless there are firmware changes from CM12 that I'm not aware of. When I tested this ROM, I came from a CM12 nightly, so can't say. You could give direct flashing a try.

This is the 3rd time I've copy/pasted these foolproof instructions, and I'm sorry for constantly mentioning the people in these instructions, but you guys gotta have credit for the awesomeness. So here are the instructions~
Generally speaking, most custom ROMs are based on CM. READ: CyanHacker is OBVIOUSLY CM BASED.
And to not bootloop on CM12 or a CM-based ROM, you first need to be on CM11.
~Seeing as some of you can't get a working download on CM11, here's the working link (thanks @tingljjdehua!)- https://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/90775/cm-11-20141115-SNAPSHOT-M12-ghost.zip
~Make sure you're on the latest TWRP Recovery (use 2.8.5.0)- http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/ghost
~SuperSU is always better than the built-in Superuser. Get SuperSU here- http://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
~Download whatever Lollipop ROM you want that's compatible with the Moto X.
~PA-gapps are the best IMHO so here you go (thanks @TKruzze!)- http://forum.xda-developers.com/par...apps-official-to-date-pa-google-apps-t2943900
(I recommend using the Google Stock Package as the Moto X's system partition is able to take all of it in, which leaves space for user partition, but you can also use the PA-apps' advanced features to
stop it from flashing specific APKs. Just read all of it carefully.)
1. mfastboot flash the latest TWRP if you aren't already at that point. I won't help you on fastboot things as you should already know- look around in the forums for info.
2. BACKUP YOUR STUFF- don't want to lose things without being able to get them back, right?
3. Flash the downloaded CM11 snapshot.
4. Let CM11 fully boot and go through the setup screen- just skip everything and get to the homescreen.
5. Reboot into Recovery and wipe EVERYTHING- system, data, dalvik cache, cache, etc.
6. Flash your Lollipop ROM.
7. Flash PA-gapps.
8. Flash SuperSU.
9. Wipe cache/dalvik cache.
10. Reboot.
11. ???
12. Profit.
Hey @Quasar, I was wondering at what frequency would updates be built?
I know we all have busy lives, and there would be days with no time to manage any builds.
Well crap, I'm basically asking for an ETA. Haha.

Well, honestly, it was easier basing it on LS because most of the customizations were already present, but for 5.0 we decided to use a clean base so we can basically push out highly optimized builds with a few nifty features.

OPTIROMMy intent is to make an optimized rom for janice, wait let me explain my self better.
After years of hard development (I don't know how to thank TeamCanjica for their awesome work) we have custom roms fully working almost bugless.
I have used as base the AOSPA sources, in my opinion the best rom for our phone and since android 4.4.4 is not updated anymore, I decided to do this by myself and optimize the code to make the rom smoother, faster and battery friendly as more as possible.
Forget the crappy stock JB and other ROMS, flash OPTIROM!
Let's start guys!
REQUISITES
Be almost on JB+ rom rooted with a custom recovery
INSTALLATION
Wipe data
Wipe cache and dalvik
Format system
Flash rom
Flash gapps
Reboot and enjoy!
FEATURES
All AOSPA features
Updated to last AOSPA sources
MKKernel as default kernel

Cam recorder I think no, for games I have good performance. Try yourself
@hastafiesta
I think its not possible anymore. But i can give u an exammple. For ex Asphalt was working awfully on stock rom and smoothy on KitKat. But try to play hill climb racing or jet pack joride on kitkat and on stock rom. On kitkat u will notice , that game is resposible and fast , but not smooth. Every background game animation will have low FPS famerate. This is a realy small bug. I think no one (acceps me and Antares One) noticed that.
This is caused by our poor mali drivers. (Crapsung fault).

Am I the only having a graphic bug when switching between notification panel and quick settings? The icons moves little bit right out of the screen. Tried to replace SystenUI.apk with one of aopsa beta 5 but it force closes.
Exept that the ROM runs very smooth with no lags.

also, does this rom have a full black mode?

I think this is based on cm11 nightly.
Can op use aokp 4.4.4 source? It has more feature
At another thread, OP at first using Lanchon build which was based on last snapshot of cm11 and then he released v2 based on Calkullin cm11s 44s.
Yes I can see from the title it is based on cm11, yet in the OP it is written based on cm11s source. My question is what version of cm11?

I try, but not success to... let's see if I can.
Thanks for trying it. Cm1q is fine yet I love cm11s custom lockscreen swipe down to unlock and the cm11s keyboard is more convenient than cm11 keyboard.
I dont know what is wrong, i have this FC of google play service and sometime google partner setup if i flash open gapps pico right after flashing this cm11 rom and cm11s rom. Yes, i do denied the wake up and keep awake for gplayservices.
I dont find these FC with flashing opengapps nano and it shows up after freezing google apps that. I dont want to run in background using TiBu (google search, newstand).
I always wipe cache/dalvik cache after flashing the gapps and after facing this FC, uninstall and update the gplayservice from sideload apk also brings no luck? Does the google apps is a must run on the latest google play service version?
The FC shows up if I happen to open GCM related apps, app that need permission to login to google account.
Any idea?
Anybody else having issues installing xposed?
Nice work my friend.

Will it have the same battery life (compared to L with Mobile Internet Drain Bug)? Or did you just mean the commits?
Today i downgraded from CM12S to SlimKat, now I found this awesome ROM. Going to "upgrade" to this tomorrow.

Any solution to this @Racpu_ ?
The error in xposed reads:
Code:
Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 19 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a).
CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE: cannot locate symbol "ZN7android14AndroidRuntime5startEPKcS2_" referenced by "/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/app_process"...
Thanks
The Xposed is fixed in next version... waiting.

Layers may give you some problems because this ROM has somewhat you can say inbuilt theming options. You should be able to use anything except framework and UI without conflict. Maybe can use UI as well but the the power manu nay get broken and leads you to a reboot every time you try to access it.
You anyway won't need layers because the inbuilt theming options are quite beautiful.
I'll definitely provide you all with screenshots when I have a faster internet connection. Enjoy! ?
Thanks to @rogersb11 for making his ROM open source, so some folks like me can enjoy it! @vikrantarya1, thank you for the build; hopefully it's OK to share them here on XDA. Regarding the theming for those people who aren't familiar with this ROM, there are so many color options Brett built in to this that there is NO NEED to use Layers at all - you can literally theme everything to your liking.
@SteveMurphy is right, its something unique with awesome options blended in coupled with smoothness. I am literally shocked to see the smoothness I am getting after enabling most of the ROM features. Quite unbelievable for me.

Confirmed. Unfortunately it looks like all sensors don't work. I have checked system for sensor related files and i think they are all there and in the right place

Yes, I can confirm this as well. We must remember that this ROM isn't specifically made for our N5 (Brett doesn't own one), so there will be some bugs here and there. If we can post logs to help Vikrant, then that will be most helpful (although the color change isn't something log-able).
Edit: just noticed Slim recents crashes, so I've attached a log for Vikrant - hope it helps!
Thanks for getting me the bugs
I'll definitely have a look at all of them! ?
Edit : For quick settings colours just switch on the custom colours switch under themes in settings.
is this rom just for D820 version (US) or will it work on d821 as well (international)
new to this rom. Seems awesome! Is there a way to change the icons in slimpie?

Well there are custom colours and other options. It has all the features of all the ROMs you'll ever see. You get everything you can. So give a try.

I already fixed it. Build's fine now with no bugs. Releasing in sometime.
That slim recents crashes must be occurring because of some app icon conflicting with it. They are working fine too. ?
