I9082 ROMs on I9080L (Galaxy Grand) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
I am playing around with my gf's I9080L and I'm trying to get her a decent ROM to use as daily driver. But, I've stumbled into an issue that I don't know how to resolve.
Now, I am aware that most 9082 ROMs work on the 9080. And in deed, ROMs running 4.x.x do work, but the 5.x ROMs don't.
In exception of CM12, all other ROMs I have no voice/data/SMS. Only WiFi.
I installed a 4.4.2 ROM which is running OK but I'm sure there must be others with the same problem.
Any help would be appreciated!

KitKat ROM
Please help me.... I need a kitkat rom that will work on my i9080l. Tried flashing the custom rom for i9082 but it failed and my phone got stuck in a boot loop so i had to restore. Please help me jellybean 4.2.2 lags so much. Please help. Thanks

[Q] Can't find a custom ROM for GT-I9060

Hey guys, I'm back!
First, I've successfully rooted the recovery image and installed SuperSU for the last time, but I can't find CyanogenMod official/unofficial and custom ROM for previous to latest Android versions (example as Android 4.4.x KitKat) to relevant before how to install.
Second, is it compatible to install a custom ROM for GT-I9060 (Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo) than GT-I9080 and GT-I9082 (Samsung Galaxy Grand) in recovery mode?
Sorry about that, but it's impossible to fit those categories in this forum.

[Help Needed] Porting CM 10.1 from MT6592 to MT6582

I don't know, if this is the right category, to post this. If it isn't - I'm sorry for spamming wrong category's.
I found a rom (CM 10.1) universaly made for MT6592 from mtkroms.com. I really want to port this rom for my chinese MT6582M phone. I followed this guide, in order to successfully port from MT6592 to MT6582. Thanks @[email protected] for his awesome guide. The problem is, when I try to flash the rom, it pops up "symlink: some symlinks failed (Status 7)". One time I somehow managed to install the rom, but weren't able to get past boot-animation. Also, I can't take a logcat, while device is booting, because adb isn't detecting my phone on boot. Please write, what files, or the rom itself, I need to upload, for you guys, to try help me.

why you porting cm 10.1 ? (there is no cm 10 for these mtk)
though you can port Cm 12.1 buggless from other Mt6582 device....using ur stock kk rom.....for rom link check on xda and for guide check my mt6592 cm12.1 porting guide
cheers
The problem is, that I don't have KitKat. I have Jelly Bean 4.2.2, and I'm stuck in it, because I have kernel 3.4.5, and no kernel sources for this phone. So no KK for this one.

ahh !! sad !! try finding some clone may be some works for you
All known clones has Android JB 4.2.2 too. So, nu luck for this device. . I wanted to get CM 10.1 on it, to get the taste of CM, themes, and many more awesome features of CM.
You will never get a fully working rom. Just the way it is with devices using these sub par chips

[HELP] Good MT6592(m) Porting guide

Hi guys,
I'm here to ask you a good MT6592(m) porting guide. I just bought my new THL 5000T, a MT6592m Octa-Core with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and 5000mAh battery! It's a monster. It has 4.4.2 stock firmware and I saw someone ported MIUI 7 for it, on NeedROM. But I also saw LolliPop and CyanogenMOD ROM ported to MT6592.
I searched over Internet and I discovered that porting MT6592/T ROMS on MT6592m works flawlessly, so MT6592 (1.7Ghz), MT6592T(2.0Ghz) and MT6592m(1.4Ghz) ROMS are interchangeable.
So I started trying to port some ROMs like OctOS, CM12.1 and even KitKat Roms like AICP or CM11. I searched obviously the porting guide. Well....Here's the problem
Over internet there are thousands of guides, all differents each other, and NO ONE WORKING GOOD
I also tried to mix them by copying as many files from stock as possible. No luck. The only ROM that booted to launcher was OctOS but no network, no sim, no 3g, no nothing. I tried to fix them by "Bugs fixing guides" over internet, but they result in bootloop.
I'm here to asking you, my favourite and main Android modding forum, if someone has got the definitive guide for porting MT6592(m) ROMs.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my english, I'm Italian
No one?
I can not help you about your problems, but I'm interested in, how you were returned to stock rom after installing a custom ROM. I also have problems with the installation and instructions on how to install ROMs on mtk

With my personal experience I highly recommend this unofficial cm12.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/cyanogenmod-12-1-t3345690. This is very stable, and the performances are very good
