[HELP] Lock Device Does Not Follow the Settings - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
I need your help, I configured the phone to be locked after 5 minutes (Power button lock is disable) and for some reason did not follow this settings, sometimes just lock in 1 minute or so..., I dont have any security app installed, I use the stock ROM.
Smart Lock is only activated to detect when I carry on the phone.
Any idea??
Thanks in advance!!! and cheers from Argentina!!

Hi Alex, Seems that the smart lock is not so smart!!!!.
If you disable the Smart Lock function, the lock timer works ok!!!!!, That sucks!!! from my POV.
Thanks to reply

[Q] How to remove screen lock

Can someone help me in getting rid of the lock screen? I wan to use my phone just after pressing the home screen no additional step by swiping the lock screen.
Very simple, install No Lock. It does what it says.
Working on Cognition 1.31,
Cheers.

I installed it, but still not working is there any tricks?
A bit weird way, more of a bug in the lock screen, is to hit the home key 4 times, the lock screen doesn't prevent the voice system from being activated. So you can hit once to activate the screen, two quick to enable the voice talk, and then once more to return to main screen. Bad way, but working.

[Q] Unlock phone pattern without 'OK'

Hi guys, is there a tweak or a possibility to remove or bypass pressing 'OK' after typing the PIN on lockscreen?
For example like on iPhone, just typing the PIN and if it's correct voila, unlocks.
Thx in advance, cheers.

Multiple lock screens

I have the galaxy S5 running 4.2.2
I hate having the phone wake up in my pocket after unlocking with either fingerprint or pin.
The phone is set to lock after 5 minutes of inactivity - but if bumped in the pocket, the phone wakes up without the swipe lock screen.
Is it possible to use a combination of two lock screen types?

finger print unlock become swipe unlock?

I set finger print unlock on edge but somehow, when I unlock the phone it always ask for swipe to unlock instead. Maybe 1 out of 10 or 20 unlock it will ask for a finger print.
Anyone else have this problem! Or know what's going on?

You probably have smart lock enabled. Did you set up an android wear device or other bluetooth device and say yes on the notification for smart lock? Or maybe you set a trusted place?
Whenever I'm connected to my moto 360, I get swipe unlock instead of fingerprint, because screen lock is disabled by Smart Lock.

When I wake the phone to lock screen,I have to swipe the screen to unlock, THEN it asks for the fingerprint, how can I bypass the swipe to allow it to unlock with just the fingerprint?

I've got the same issue. None of the above suggestions helped. Did you get this figured out?
---------- Post added at 09:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:25 AM ----------
Nevermind, I was able to get it by removing all my Trusted Devices. Had like 5 things in there. Tried removing one at a time but it only worked when I removed all of them.
Thanks for the info. I was having the same problem with my S6 but seems to be doing what I want now!!!!!
i am having the same issue..
the fingerprint works fine but when i swipe up it shows me an option to use fingerprint or pattern..
in this screen my fingerprint doesnt work and i have open using the pattern only..
any help guys ??
Another possible solution is to uninstall the "Start" app.

Fingerprint and New Security Policy Update

Good day!
Can anybody tell me a workaround for the new security policy update?
Problem: I use the double tap feature to lock the screen using Nova Launcher. Before the recent update, I can unlock my phone using the fingerprint after using the double tap to lock. After getting the latest update, I have to use the Pattern unlock or any other lock you have set, just not the fingerprint unlock feature. I can still unlock the phone via fingerprint but I have to lock the device using the the Power/Lock button in order for it to be used/appear after waking up the phone.
I know it's not a major problem. It's also the reason I stayed away from Good Lock. But can somebody help me with a workaround? Thank you!
No rooting please.

This did not help me because I'm using Google Now Launcher. Might be time to switch back
