Can all Android be rooted or there are more secure device ?
I don't understand your question.
If you mean which Android device cannot be rooted than the answer is likely none.
Every Android device can in some way be rooted.

Will this file work ?
"CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEU_KE2-v4.0-CWM4.zip"
My phone is unlocked / unbranded in Slovakia/EU, here is info on it:
PDA: XWKE2
PHONE: XXKDJ
CSC: ??? (can someone tell me how to find it ?)
Also is the note: "CF-Root for SGS2 is still very much BETA. There WILL be issues !" to be taken seriously ? Are there some known issues ? All I care for is to have working and stable root with as few differences from stock as possible. (at least for now)

Thanks rooted for couple of days now and so far everything works great.
But can someone answer my following very naive question ? After you bought unlocked phone with a powerful computer inside - why do you have to hack it ( = doing somethig "evil", even losing warranty) just to grant yourself a root ? (as opposed to e.g. x86 devices, where it would look totally strange not having full OS permissions)

Same for all of the OS .However note that one big security flaw on X86 is that any numpty can have root access and bugger everything up .

Hello, do you suggest that lack of root on unlocked devices is only for user's protection ? Any other reason ? If it's just that then I consider it to be wrong (from the "philosophical" standpoint)
I think I should be able to do anything on a computer which I own in a totally legit way (without "hacks") assuming it does not violate the law. For example I don't see how freezing apps that I don't want to be running shouldn't be among the very basic "rights and freedoms" (of a completely unlocked device owner). Considering how Google is an opened company and Android an opened OS, over-protection + restriction of the user (as opposed to freedom + responsibility) doesn't make much sense to me (on the other hand lack of restrictions would surprise me with Microsoft or Apple ) . If their need to protect is so huge - fine but then imo there should be also a legit way how to enable root (e.g. some jumper setting + reboot etc. with warning "you should know what you are doing")
You should try VillainRom for your rooted phone, mate! It's great

Because they learned from Apple where the phone is presented as an appliance, not a computer. Yes they could just implement something similar to windows UAC and give an option to disable warnings on elevated privileges, but then would have to deal with the returns of one bazillion phones.
does anyone know how to root my SHW-M250K?
Basically it is also SGS2 but it's only sell in korean market.
This is my first android device. I used the search option but didn't find anything useful since i have a chinese tablet. I have a "Chuwi V10" with android 4.1.1. I want to update it to 4.2 manually. How do i go about it? Thanks in advance!
You need to wait for manufacturer's updates (it's a chinese device... so don't expect too much).

Ah, ok. What if i root it? Can i do update it then?
No, you need a ROM specifically developed for your device.
Hi there,
I bought a tablet Imperius tab 10lt (MT7010). Android 4.1.1 is installed. I would like to know if it is possible to install a newer version of android and whether it can be rooted? I mean, if root'ing refers to a device or system? On the subject of this device is a little on the web, so if I try a universal method ..something like "root all 4.1.x devices" or similar?
Sorry for my English is not too good :/
Hello everyone, I'm gonna be quick as possible I will join basic info at the end,
I have a Meizu M5, I want to use a different OS on the phone, I dont care if its a modified OS or anything, or even the official Android 6.0.1, I did a bit of research on how to root, flash ....etc I guess "Custom ROMs" have to be "phone compatible",
is it possible to use the official Android on my phone? if yes where can I get it?
I'm okay if anything goes wrong while flashing or rooting...

Hi,
To install a custom ROM, the ROM needs, indeed, to be compatible with your phone. People make the compatible by building them this way. When you talk about "Official Android", I assume you're talking about the Android Experience from the Pixel phones. There are some ROMs that reproduce very closely this experience (one of them is called Pixel Experience). Unfortunately this ROM isn't available for your phone.
What I found tho, is this article saying you can install Lineage OS 13 (Android 6) on your phone. Here it is :
https://www.getdroidtips.com/lineage-os-13-meizu-m5
Edit#1: the download link for the ROM is gone, and I didn't find any other ROMs for your phone. You can try to search yourself, it's super easy, just type " (name of the phone) custom ROMs " on Google.
I have been trying to find a method to update the android version on Hisilicon Hi3796 M100 android Set top box which is at present running android 4.4.2. As the android is this old, it doesn't support a good number of apps, from playstore, or by adb. I tried to find a custom rom online, but couldn't find. Is there one? Or is there any way to update the os if there is no official update available?
Moving from Android 4.4.2 to Android 5.0+ is an upgrade not an update.
To upgrade you need a Custom ROM what requires you have to flash a Custom Recovery ( e.g. TWRP ) before. Do you have a 100% matching TWRP available?
Hey,
Thank you for the quick reply. And thank you again for correcting that update-upgrade thing. Will keep it in mind.
And I am sorry I couldn't find a custom ROM for my device online. I am not sure what exactly it means by flashing a custom recovery.
Could you please explain it a little bit... or give some link from where I could find it out?
Thank you.

No. I searched everywhere I could and there is not even remotely matching TWRP available.
