Hello everybody,
I am using my I9300 with TWRP and SlimKat.
I noticed a few days ago I was'nt able to reboot into recovery (the teamwin logo appears, and then reboot with the samsung logo and boot normally).
I was not worried to much as my phone booted normally.
And this morning, down to 4% battery, I place it on charge, and he reboots suddenly, and since then I am stuck into a bootloop (stuck at the Slimkat logo for a while and then reboot).
Same thing for the recovery mode, I cannot access it.
I have still access to download mode so I guess i can save my phone that way.
Any help about how to proceed and what to flash (via odin ?)
Thanks for your help !
You will need the stock rom for your device (single package) and just flash via odin in download mode. Clear cache and reboot afterwards to remove any signs of the other rom.
Let me know if you need a link to the 4.3 BTU firmware.

Thnaks for the reply.
I was using a custom rom (slimkat 4.4.4)
Where can i find the stock rom (single package) ? Do you have a link ?
Thanks,
Can you use the btu firmware? I have the btu 4.3 here https://drive.google.com/folder/d/0B4vTiHTBB629ZW5vQndpbjFnblk/edit

How do I flash it with Odin ? Do I check re-partition ?
Thanks,
Flash with odin, do NOT select repartition.
Tick one package, enter the firmware under "pda" button and flash.
There is detailed instructions on the samsung site or google.

tried with reflash partition (pit) should help it boot again, or go into recovery mode and wipe factory/data

bootloop happens when the Rom corrupts during installation or installing any other application. or some people using ROM Manager . Never use ROM Manager you will loose the cwm. Download any ROM which supports Odin. flash it you should be fine. Then you can switch back to your favorite ROM. this is a good rom you can flash via odin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1095274
PS : if you don't like to flash ROM just flash CWM via Odin which should give you access to CWM. you can restore you backup ROM if you have one or have any other ROM in your phone memory.

I was facing the same problem some days ago, but after surfing this forum, I realised that if you have Kies running in the background, Odin will behave oddly and will not flash the firmware by going into a bootloader loop.
I suggest that you re-install the drivers again and make sure that Kies is not running in the background when you are flashing through Odin (just fire up your Task Manager in Windows and terminate the Kies process).
Hope this helps you...
Hi all,
I've been having a few issues with my S2 (Randomly resetting, freezing, etc) - so I decided to do a factory reset - but it hasn't worked.
When I turn my phone on, it wont go past the galaxy logo. I've tried holding down VOLUME UP, POWER, and HOME - but it doesn't boot it into recovery mode.
I've downloaded odin (the phone is rooted) and was told to download a new ROM and then use the PDA button on odin. But the only file type it expects is MD5, tar and SMD. Whenever I download a ROM, I just get a ZIP?
I'm probably being stupid. Could someone point me in the right direction? I don't care if I lose data, I just want the phone working.

What ROM do you want to flash?
If it's a stock ROM, then extract the zip file and flash the contained tar/md5 file with Odin.
If it is a custom ROM and only provided as CWM-flashable zip file, then use a stock ROM to flash first and flash the custom ROM afterwards, when everything works again.
Here you can get the latest stock ROMs => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487, or pre-rooted stock ROMs from here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1608071, or use Check Fus Downloader from here => http://fus.nanzen.se/ to check for the latest officiallly released firmware versions for your phone in your region and download it directly from Samsung servers.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I don't care which ROM I use - As long as I get the phone working again. I did download 7comp ROM but I couldn't find any .tar files?
I also converted the ZIP to a TAR but odin isn't picking it up ?!
OK - I've downloaded and installed the latest stock ROM you posted.
It seems to have installed, but doesn't go past the splash screen which says samsung galaxy Sii
Any ideas?
[EDIT] - Phone fixed. I was able to load it into recovery mode and cleared cache. woo
Well done ...now try to go on recovery mode ...if should be able to go....do full wipe...then clear delvik cache...then advance- fix permission ..
Then reboot system ....you are done...
Don't forget to say thanks..

Attempted to root the phone but it didn't work.
I followed a set of instructions, and was asked to wait for the phone to reboot. It now has the "!" rooted icon but won't go past the rooted screen.
System restore and clearing cache doesn't set it back to factory default. Any ideas?

Sorry for late reply. I followed a video on youtube showing you how to root the phone. It looked succesfull as the "!" did appear, but it wouldn't go past that.
So I rolled it back using the original ROM and have given up on rooting it. It's a shame as I really liked Jelly Bean

I was able to use the Emergency firmware recovery in Samsung Kies when the same thing happened to me by going into the the Download Mode and plugging my phone in with Kies on.
However, that only worked once out ff the 3 times i had boot problems due to errors when flashing.
What worked every time is flashing stock firmware using Odin. Here is a link to the stock firmware collection -

It is possible that your phone suffered a by now well known Sudden Death Syndrome. If you used a Firmware before, that didn`t included the SDS fix then it could happen. Syndromes are like you described: Phone freezing all the time, not responding etc.

So you can go into download mode right?
If yes then download a official Samsung firmware and then try to flash it through Odin. Now the most important thing for you is to get your phone to a Stock state, so that it hopefully boots up.
Yes i can go into download mode. i download the original firmware from sammobile but still i dont understand witch pit file i must use.
Hi
I have a Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo GT-S5310...
The sad thing is that, a while ago it stopped working and now it's stuck on the boot screen (Samsung GALAXY POCKET Neo GT-S5310)
I have tried to perform a factory reset through the built-in recovery mode (volume up + home + power), but unfortunately, I couldn't access the recovery mode and the phone goes directly to the boot screen.
And since the only thing I could do was accessing the Download Mode, so I tried to recover it by installing an official firmware with Odin3_v3.07... but it didn't solve the problem...
So what would you guys suggest?
can't delete this reply... could an admin please do it?

Cant boot to recovery
Hi sorry for the thread revival but I have run out of ideas. Same problem as OP. Odin flash is successful but stuck on samsung logo when trying to boot to recovery.
S5310i 4.4.2
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Anyone found a solution to this?
When you use Odin to flash, when it has finished, it always boot to recovery, there you have to wipe data and cache, then it works properly!

After flashing recovery with odin I am still stuck at the S5310 Neo splash screen unable to boot into recovery. Has this maybe got something to do with a conflict between android versions? As the S3510i comes with 4.4.2 stock, not 4.1.2.
