[Q] does cyanogenmod support moving obb files to sd card automatically ? - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys
Do you recommend moving from latest stock sony rom to cyanogenmod 12.1 ?
the most annoying thing about the stock rom is that "it doesn't move the OBB files to sd card" so im limited to the 16 GB of internal memory .
does cyanogenmod support moving obb files to sd card automatically ?? or i still needs the root + foldermount app even on cyanogenmod ??

Nope. Use obb on sd in xposed. Similar to foldermount but you dont need to configure it for obb's and it works both on stock and cm/aosp roms

Thanks
Thanks.
I'll stick to sony stock lollipop. I love the stock camera app
I rooted with kingroot. Installed xposed 2.7 expermental
But it says lollipop not supported yet

There is a special Alpha package for xposed. It needs to be installed in recovery or pushed/updated manually.

I'm using the one from here Xposed for Lollipop is HERE
flash xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip from recovery and use the XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk

I'll try it

Worked for me
Thanks guys

wht version is tht?
I tried this rom today... it's nice and very light (Titanium Backup told me there was +- 700MB free in /system, more space than any rom I've ever tried), already rooted (it was a surprise for me), support dual sim and wifi, but the graphics are laggy in some parts (for instance, in the home screen)

xperia z1 kit kat

i have a doubt, is it safe to update to oficial kit kat now that is online? i have read that it has a lot of problems, with apps, wifi, signal, txt messaging and that some apps are not going to work well with my unlocked xperia z1.
im on official 4.3 jelly bean, and my z1 works fine, i dont want to have all those troubles with my phone.
or is it safe to offficial update now ?
thanks !
Well the major problem that it has is the sd write issue
U can't use any other apps that require access to sd card except stock file manager
So no es file manager
You would have to root it to fix it

But if i rooted it, im going to miss future updates right?
Any other concerns about kit kat?
I have my doubts bout updating, thanks
I don't know but you should get updates
Also if you don't get then you have many devs who will give you updates with custom roms like cyanogenmod

thanks, im updating right now.
also i have read in some forums that the camera imprvements are not going to come in future updates, cuz are the "improvements" with z2, so it makes sense. i think i will have to root my z1 and install them. i saw them here in xda.
also i read that if i root my z1 i will lose my x reality engine, and i dont want that BUT i also read here on XDA that it can be installed as a APK.
thanks !

How to get rid of baidu folder in internal storage

I've just flashed the EU1 .283 but surprisingly there is still the BAIDU folder in internal storage. The first time, I flashed the Taiwan (TW) update and got it, I thought it was because baidu is popular in TW. The second time, I used the AU_NZ but still got it but soon got back to KK 4.4.2 coz I didnt like some lagging.
How to get rid of this folder, what creates it?

About xperia p optipizing, or installing android 4.4 or 5.0

Hello,
I was wondering I have xperia P with android 4.1.2.
Google maps for example is working a bit laggy on this phone can this be fixed?
Should I try installing a rom for android 4.4 or maybe 5.0?
I don't know wich one I need to install for best allround performance for this phone or is stockrom good enough??
Any idea guys?
I allready tried in the past some cyanide mod rom but my phone didn't boot anymore luckely I could let it work again with flashtool64
Any tips? Or can I just optimize this phone with special applications for rooted phones?
Greetings Avanox
In my opinion you should stay on stock rom. I have used both 4.4 and 5.1 but the stock 4.1.2 is most stable among them.
You should root your phone, make TA backup (in case you haven't unlocked bootloader in the past) then unlock bootloader.
Install Nemesis kernel.
Remove all unnecessary bloatwares.
Add these lines to build.prop
dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode=false
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=v=n,o=v,m=y

Flash this zip https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByS_TYUaHe5SWi1HaE5qMUYwWVE/view?usp=docslist_api
Factory reset the phone.
My phone is allready rooted, and also unlocked.
Where can I install nemesis kernel??
I had an alternative app to remove bloatware ,
But what apps should I remove that are bloatware?
Oh and I have android 4.1.2 running on this phone.
What is this zip flash thing for??
Greetings Avanox

You can flash the kernel in fastboot mode from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...nel-nemesis-kernel-v6-3-revised-21-2-t2214141
Also you can use any root file manager to delete apps from the system partition of your phone. I'm using ES file manager 3.2.5.5 (old version) because the new version is bloated itself. I don't exactly remember how many app I have removed but after deleting them I have the following apps (attached in screenshots) in system/app. Note that there are three extra apps - ESExp.apk, CPU.apk, Superuser.apk. The first one is file manager app, the second one is No frills CPU control app, and the last is SuperSU. Also I have updated Play Store (Phonesky.apk) and Google Play Services (GmsCore.apk) to the versions 6.7.13.E-all and 9.0.82(034) respectively and moved it to the system replacing the older versions. You can find both on www.apkmirror.com. I have also deleted apps from system/etc/product and system/etc/customization.
The zip contains Xperia keyboard 6.4.A.1.44, Xperia Home launcher 5.1.A.0.20 and Dialer app without any lag.
You can find build.prop in /system/build.prop and edit with a text editor. Those lines will allow ported Keyboard and Dialer app to work without getting FC.
