problem may be in firmware, charger or cable.
the problem is on the side of the charge

I have the same slow charging problem with my Sony Z C6602 after Android 5.02 upgrade. It takes nearly 4 to 5 hrs to full charge.....

Smth is definitely wrong with your charger or smarphone, cause for tabz it's normal to charge 4-5 hours cause it has 6000mah battery, but for smartphone with 2330mah battery it is not normal at all.

Hi guys, I have a problem with my xperia ray.
It started with the battery during less and less, to the point it barely lasted 7 hours with normal use.
Now it drains in a couple hours (with the phone off it last around 6).
I was using Xperia Ultimate HD ROM so I figured to flash the phone to official stock ICS, it keeps happening (my phone is locked bootloader so I didn`t touch the kernel).
I have also tried changing the battery (have tried with 3 differents) and the charger.
Also, the phone overheats A LOT while it is charging (and when it is not charging sometimes it overheats pretty high).
So... this has to be some f***ing hardware problem, right?

I was told that it charges in 1:30 hour but mine charged fully from 5%-100% in more than 3:00 hour...
Is it problem with my charger?its ep880
Should i buy another charger?

So can i use 2.0 fast charger with it? Gsm arens says it supports 2.0 fast charging 60% in 30 min

Our z2 phones have support for QC2.0 on hardware but sony disabled it in software (probably because of overheating)
Don't waste money on another more powerfull charger as the phone will only charge with 1.5amp max. ~3h is the normal charge time for the z2.
Z2 does not support QC2.0 simply because it may overheat the charging port
Z2 also charges differently depending on your firmware
only the Japanese version of Z2 supports quick Charge, all others don't.
charging for 3 hours is absolutly normal.
Here a few Charging benchmarks i made:
.402 with Doomkernel v9
.314 Ultimate Pure custom
fully stock 4.4.4

So, I have never experienced any problems with my Sony Xperia z2 I recently updated it, and the update is really great. smile happy
But...
Today, battery reached 8% so i plugged it in to charge the battery (i'm using the original Sony charger - not damaged as I can tell)... Two hours later i wanted to check if the battery is full, but it charged only to 24% and the screen saver message says charging rapidly 8 hrs until full And yesterday it was working just fine i was using lollipop stock rom I was really surprised . I checked the cable for damages and if it's plugged in correctly, turned the phone off I have no idea what to do... Is this a common issue that comes with this update, or
