You must update your s7-701u with new firmware. Download it here, then you can use vroot to root your tablet.

Forgeit, there is no Custom rom for this device... and your firmware must be updated, you have an older firmware installed, (Update app is not working, ever says latest version is installed, but is false)
You have c199b005 build, and latest firmware is c232b005
Download the firmware from huawei page, unzip the file, and follow the instructions of pdf inside

my question is by doing rooting process if any error comes than my phone will bricked? and if phone will get bricked than can we able to reflash it or can we bring him out of the dead state?
i have also saw ur previous video tutorial for older version i have downloded that files also .
and new files of R2 "R2BA020_ROOT.rar" this files also...

You seriously need to try your best to brick your device. Just READ the instructions and you'll be just fine!

You can either follow some complicated instructions and try flashing your phone or you can use the new exploid/mini rooting method on a stock phone.

It works on all newer Android phones, so just follow the instructions for it and you'll have a rooted phone in a few minutes.

Adb is working, the "problem" was a simple user error. Adb is used for debugging.

There are no differences except that you can use applications that require root. That is all, it only installs one extra command called "su" which enables you to run apps as root.

I would recommend trying either this root procedure (As suggested by ArikaSalaf) or this root procedure and seeing if either of these work for you. Let me know if you still have questions.

For Bin4ry Root Tool try this link. And if you use the other procedure make sure you follow the instructions step by step, if you follow it step by step and read everything carefully you'll be ok :good:.

What you can try is re-downloading the file and when Norton complains it's a virus (False positive) click on the notification that comes up which should bring up Norton giving you information about why it deleted the file. Then when the information comes up there should be a restore deleted file option which should then allow you to use the root tool.

I have Jelly Bean but when I upgrade to the official Lollipop upgrade I lose the root, how do I keep the root after the upgrade? I can't root it on Lollipop I need it to install twrp or am i mistaken? thats my problem, any suggests? (I´m barely noob, sorry)

Thanks medwat! I used Towelroot to root the phone but only works on Jelly bean. As I understand the instructions be like:
1- upgrade to lollipop custom rom b322
2-Install twrp? (do i need root to install it?)
3-Root it from twrp? (How do i do that?)

You don't need to root Lollipop to install a custom ROM. In case you just want to root lollipop, download the super user zip file. Just google it. Launch TWRP and install the zip file. That's all.

I have been trying this method but doesn't seems to work, I already changed the name of the twrp img file but nothing :crying: any suggests?
You need to tell it where the file is located, the easiest way to do this is to put the TWRP file in a folder and then hold down the shift key and right click with your mouse inside the folder you put the file in. You should see an option to open command window here. Select this and try flashing TWRP again. It should work. Hello everyone.I wanted to update my new Mate 10 lite to android 8.0 with the custo installation method that requires unlocking bootloader that i found on internet,but i realized that using it will break my warranty and i dont want that.Will it be available throught normal System update later on,or is this the only way? Thank you.
i have the same quastion. but the update will come soon i am waiting for it because its a very big one face unlock...
I'm sure it's coming through OTA in a few weeks, don't risk your warranty on it, I'd rather wait and avoid any hassles with the bootloader and rooting.

It works for my 32gB model Honor 7x. :good:
I also used stock recovery and flashed the mentioned files using fastboot command.
[I didnt try using the TWRP method as I had already flashed by recovery to stock before trying this rom]
the commands looked like this:
"fastboot flash system system.img"
"fastboot flash cust cust.img" and so on.

I doubt it'll work, but I figured I'd ask: Has anyone tried this on the American model? (BND-L24) - I'm gonna test shortly, so I'll be able to confirm whether or not it works. If it does work, I doubt the bands will work properly, if at all, but I'll give it a shot.
