hi guys,
ive managed to mess up pretty well today.
i have messed about with rooting etc but it was a couple years back so forgive me if im being stupid
i was attempting to put lollipop on my HTC One Mini.
so far i have;
unlocked the bootloader
installed CWM
Heres where ive messed up...
i followed instructions to dump my required files onto my phone (CM12 (nightly) ROM, Gapps and SuperSU)
i then booted into CWM, did all the data wiping etc as instructed, i then tried to install the .zips but i couldnt fine them anywhere so now i cant boot the phone or anything
any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
P.s im not sure if i have posted this in the right place. please move it if it isnt, thank you
i have found on google that i can boot lollipop using sideload on adb but every thing i try just gives me error: closed or failed to write data.
i have tried
adb remount
adb sideload
adb push
nothing will work
Update please read
I HAVE A FIX
I really hope that anyone who has been pulling hair out like i have all day finds this and i hope it helps them.
i had CWM installed and it didnt find my .zip files, rom, gapps and superSU
i tried sideloading and a million other commands but it kept giving me errors
i then installed twrp and tried sideloading, still nothing. what i did then notice is, TWRP found the .zip files i had put on so i did the usual "wipe data, factory reset" stuff on there and then had a go at installing the CM11 rom zip file and it worked!!!!
i have now since decided to use the candy5 5.0.0.zip and it has booted up perfectly. i have superSU installed too!
The only thing i am still working on, is trying to get the gapps installed BUT.... i no longer have a soft bricked phone. I really hope this helps somebody else. feel free to ask me for help on this. i am only a n00b at this but i may have tried something you havent.
Best of luck guys.

hey guys, first post here: i just bought the atrix 4g, got it in the mail today, used the 1-click rooter to unlock the bootloader, then to root. then i installed cyanogenmod 9- i followed instructions appropriately, but the phone hangs at the motorola logo screen at boot-up and does nothing more. i tried re-flashing, fixing permissions, clearing dalvik cache, nothing works.
edit- i installed cyanogenmod9 through clockworkmod, by installing zip from internal
i was going to re-flash stock rom, but i cant get internal storage to mount from clockworkmod (no sd card), so i cant get the stock file over to the phone to flash, so im bricked.
any thoughts/advices? thanks in advance, after not having a phone for near a week, id kinda like to make a call

Did you try using fastboot to erase system, data, cache, and osh partitions?

You bricked your phone, not cyanogenmod ...
Restore a backup, your phone should work.
hm, can anyone tell me, why i cant get internal storage to mount from clockworkmod? is this a common problem?
i dont understand what went wrong for me, when i followed the same steps that many others did.

Your phone is not a paperweight, just not boot the operating system
You did a backup with CWM? restore a backup as Emerson says
You can borrow a sd card copy there CM7 and install from the sdcard
You can also use RDS to install a stock rom
Never install a rom without having an one that you know works 100%
AND ALWAYS READ ALL FAULTS AND SOLUTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING A CUSTOM ROM
ok guys, i went and bought an sd card, clockworkmod mouted it fine, i found and copied over to the sd card android 2.34 for atrix, it flashed fine and my phone is back up.
can you gentleman tell me, whats a good solid rom to flash? cyanogen mod 9 obviously didnt work for me. id like to get started setting up the phone, so i need a good rom to begin with.
thanks to everyone in advance
Go with montouri's version of cm7.2 ,mrom-Olympus you can find it in the developer section. Its my daily driver. Its the most stable and has the best battery life out of all the roms that I've tried
motoxrcr1 thanks for the recommendation, running m-rom now and it runs smooth.
the first time i tried to install it, it hung at the boot logo, then i got to thinking maybe i better try updating clockworkmod, turned out that clockworkmod 4.0X that was installed by the 1-click rooter, is rather old, so i found and updated to 5.XX. tried re-flashing m-rom again, and it worked fine that time.
older clockworkmod, that's probably what caused my original problem with cyanogenmod 9..
does mrom support overclocking? not that i guess i need it, but just to know for future reference
thanks!
the trouble i caused myself, was all due to flashing the rom from an older version of clockworkmod.. after updating to a newer version 5.xx, it flashed fine

***SOLVED***
I did attempt two. I was unable to sideload using TWRP because it was unable to mount. I decided to format data again. Then I put my flashdrive into the OTG cable and plugged it into the phone. I flashed CM 10.2 Stable and BOOM it worked. Moral is that if you cant mount, reformat it and try using an OTG cable if you cant sideload. Three days paid off. My phone works again!

***SOLVED***
(Below is original question)
First of all, hello everyone. I just made an account and am glad I've done so. Seems like a website that's friendly to a mildly knowledgeable android user (well, im a bit of a noob).
Phone:
HTC ONE m7att, twrp recovery, unlocked bootloader (dont know what version, but latest im assuming b/c i got it off warrantee December) I think it isnt rooted anymore because when i reboot from TWRP, it asks me if I want to install SuperSU.
Description:
I was trying out CWM (latest one) to flash CM 11, and it worked, but I didn't like the look. So I flashed TWRP (latest one) to restore my TWRP CM 10.2 backup. I wanted to wipe 'dalvik cache' 'cache' 'data' and 'system' (advance wipe), but i ended up also wiping internal memory. Oops.
Attempts:
1.) I decided to try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251800
I ended up stuck where I am suppose to flash the ROM zip. My guess is that I have been flashing the wrong ROM files (I tried flashing a few after failed attempts) I guess the solution to this would be to find the right file, but I cant seem to find it after hours of searching, amongst other methods to add an OS. (Oh and I should note, my bootloader was LOCKED before I tried the RUU) Speaking of which...
2.) I decided to sideload a custom ROM. Ive never done this (First time rooting was late September 2013 with d2att Galaxy s3, which is MUCH easier to work with). I tried mounting it with data and later USB-OTG with little success. When I try to ADB Sideload, it is unable to mount. (Bootloader is UNLOCKED)
Questions:
If i was to do attempt 1, can someone please provide me with the correct link to the correct ROM.zip? Ive tried several download threads for the AT&T HTC One with no success.
If I was to do attempt 2, (which i prefer because I want to run CM 10.2) How do I fix the "unable to mount"? Ive tried reflashing the TWRP recovery through fastboot. And also, bonus points for showing me how to transfer zip with sideloading (bonus because I have found a few videos and threads, but they were not clear)
I have done about 4 to 5 hours of research with no luck. Please dont ridicule me for "not searching the threads," because I am frustrated after doing just that with little luck. I know this should be an easy fix, which adds to the frustration. Please help!! Thanks for reading.
I just looked this over, and my ignorance clearly shows, so please be respectful about that. Guidance is helpful, judgement is not, so dont post what I already know about my semi-lack of knowledge with using Android. Thanks.
UPDATE (Still need help):
Another problem I ran into was that the /sdcard would not mount for any recovery. Im guessing the /sdcard is corrupted. Any help with that would be appreciated. Also, I was able to sideload CM10.2 zip file with CWM on another computer, but when I reboot it, it got stuck in a boot loop.
Its been a whole days worth of trouble. First World Problems huh? Please help ASAP! Thanks again.
So I went today to update my ROM along with the TWRP boot loader. When I had TWRP installed I made the mistake of wiping everything. Including my back ups and all that.
Now I can't get a ROM onto my phone. I tried using TWRP and the Abd push but it never works. I been looking and reading for hours with no luck. I just tried it with Clockworkmod and same issue. My device is never being detected. I am able to flash to ether recovery just fine however. I'd very much appreciate help with this as I don't know what to try next.

Been following that since it sound like that user had the same issues as me. So far I'v had no luck though.
I am having almost the same problem as you, I have been trying numerous things but I have been getting closer, boot into recovery then do adb devices, your device should be there. It isn't much but its a start. If you make any progress let me know. Ill let you know if I figure something out.

Good afternoon, !!!
First and foremost , I want to thank you all in advance for ANY and help, time & consideration with my current issue. I will try my best to be clear, and give all relevant info here in my first post. Please bear with me, I am pretty good when it comes to following directions, but i havent been able to find a CLEAR solution to this yet, and worried about further screwing up my phone.
** I use a mac. I currently dont have access to a PC, so i am looking for a mac remedy if possible.
I have an HTCONE m7. Tmobile.
- Bootloader - Unlocked
- S- ON
- Rooted
I kept getting a OTA software update notice for 5.14xxx, i understand the install kept failing due to the bootloader being unlocked and/or root. So after being annoyed for not able to get it, i began googling ways to get the update but to no avail. So i decided to do CM11, & recovery which i installed with no problem via, Cyanogenmod Installer.
After doing so, i realized i lost my Tmobile Wifi Calling (Yes, my own fault for not further checking that scenario before doing cm11), The wifi calling is needed 10000%, due to bad service in my apartment. Prior to finding out that cm11 doesnt contain the tmobile wifi calling , I attempted another system update thru the phone, (I assume it was updating cm11).
This is where the problem began, phone rebooted to Cyanogenmod simple recovery ,
1st few times that i tried = "apply update" > choose from internal storage , i searched different folders for the "update" file, but to no avail. The phone wouldnt start up, or install anything , and will just stay on the simple recovery. I even attempted an adb sideload. But couldnt figure that out correctly either.
After a few failed attempts, I tried wiping the phone, cache, factory reset etc. now the phone still stays on simple recovery, and all folders are gone, except for an o/ folder, that contains a clockworkmod folder, which contains nothing.
So now basically,Do i have to eventually get back to STOCK on this phone, to regain tmobile wifi calling ? IF So i need the easiest, mac friendly route to go .
Again, i thank you ALLLLL in advance, & my apologies if this is in the wrong section. Please note ive done my fair share of googling , and reading up on this. But consistently run into a problem.

What's the radio version that is installed? Should be viewable on the bootloader screen at the top. That will help determine which RUU you need to get back to running again.
http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo...50.20_10.40.1150.04_release_324846_signed.exe
If it matches the numbers/letters after the Radio_ part there, then that is the file you need. Let me know, and I can download it for you and extract the rom.zip from the exe and upload that. Then you can use fastboot commands to install it on the phone. If your radio version does not match that, please post and we'll see if there are other options.
I don't believe that flashing another rom would work right now since all the storage and such got wiped, but it might be possible to use adb while in recovery to push a rom to the internal storage and install it and then use fastboot to install the boot.img from the rom in bootloader mode since you are S-On.

Hey there , i ended up making a 2nd thread, in the HTCONE section.. I am currently trying a fix that someone just posted. http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...date-issue-t2898480/post55889272#post55889272 I will try your fix next, if this does not work =0) Thanks again !! DEFINETLY APPRECIATE IT !!
IF mod can close this thread to avoid confusion, it would be appreciated.
Hello,
I tried flashing a custom ROM on my samsung galaxy S7 (by the way I've already done this successfully, although I clearly don't know as much as I should).
Firstly I was getting the Error 7 and "your device is ." I did fix that by deleting lines in the updater-script of the ROM. It seems that this has worked, but I couldn't get out of twrp to test it. At first I thought it was an error with my ROM, so I just tried loading the backup I'd made before, but I still couldn't get out of twrp. And there I am, I can't go in download mode, or even power off, it just puts me back in twrp.
I tried updating twrp from a .img but it just didn't work and I'm still in 3.3.1-0. Very strange.
I don't know much of the science behind this, please explain me, I don't want to brick my phone...
Thanks to anyone who tries to help.
Nevermind ?, I just did an adb reboot, got out of recovery, and my backup was applied so... I guess I won't install that custom ROM. I don't know why I had this problem, but I solved it anyway.
