Cyanogenmod: no more stable? Only nightlies? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was looking at the Cyanogenmod download page and it seems the latest stable of any phone is the 10.2 version. Will there ever be a stable version of CM anymore or is Google releasing each version too fast for CM to catch up or something?

[Q] From temasek's unofficial builds to official cyanogen nightly ?

Hello,
I have been using Temasek's unofficial cyanogen builds for a few weeks. They are awesome and I sincerely thank Temasek for his build work.
I would like to move to the official cyanogen nightly builds, mostly to be able to use the OTA updater and CyanDelta.
I have a rooted international galaxy S3 currently running V85 of Temasek's build. From the settings, I can access "CM Updater", which does find updates, but I am unsure if this is a safe way to go.
Thank you for your help, have a great day. :good:

[Q] Difference between stable CM9.1 and CM9.0 nightlys

Hey there,
what is the difference between the stable CM9.1 from 2012-08-29 and those CM 9.0 nightlys that keep updating and are currently at 2012-10-28 . the date would suggest that there are new things integrated in 9.0 but the version 9.1 would be newer? I don't get it.

Nightly vs Official

What is the difference b\w Nightly and Official releases.?
Nightly bulids are usually unstable BUT they can offer some beta options

When will CM 12 be released?

I currently have a galaxy s5 and I want to put Cyanogemod on it. Currently there is not a stable version of CM12 released and wanted to know if anyone knows when the stable version of CM 12 will be released which will be based upon Android Lollipop

As always the final product will be released whenever the Cyanogenmod team, deems it is stable enough, in the meantime you can likely expect milestone builds to start arriving in the next month or so.

Lolipop stable?

We got any stable Lolipop rom for our lovely S3??
It depends on what do you mean with stable
Few beta and alpha (nameless) builds are quiet stable, you can use them daily. However, there are still some annoying bugs, but if you don't mind, you can give them a try! Check out buglists
Just look at Nameless, Unofficial Cm 12, Unofficial Temasek and Resurrection Remix threads
