[How To] Xposed on Touchwiz - Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Make a backup first!
Remember: nobody except yourself is responsible for bricked device or bootloop or anything else messing up your device because you have done something wrong !
Requirements: rooted device (how to root), Xposed installer apk and framework (from thread linked below), de-odexed ROM (how to)
How to:
Install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk on your phone (or material design installer from here)
Flash xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-exynos_requestConcurrentGC.zip or xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon_requestConcurrentGC.zip (depends on device, see thread linked below for more information) via custom recovery (To install e.g. TWRP see tutorial)
Reboot
That's it :victory:!
This method succeeded on my Galaxy Alpha G850F with deodexed 5.0.2 stock french Lollipop ROM and TWRP recovery.
Everything you need to install Xposed app and flash framework can be found here:
[UNOFFICIAL] Xposed for Samsung Lollipop by arter97 (Xposed Installer also linked here).
Big thanks to arter97 for providing framework file.

Only for DE-ODEXED ROM'S!!

thanks

This thread is only "how to" install Xposed. If you have questions about specific modules please use search function on xda or google, I'm sure you will find what you are looking for.
For deodexed ROM visit "Galaxy Alpha Android Development" section (try "Ozcan ROM" or "Galaxy S6 ROM").

I created a zip with the deodexed files and flashed it via custom recovery. The updater-script should set correct permissions for files and folders and delete the "arm" folders in /system/app and /system/priv-app.
With this method I deodexed the French stock 5.0.2, so if you like I can share the zip here so you can modify it the way you need...if you're on French stock 5.0.2 there should be no need to modify it...

Looks ok...
If you flash your firmware via Odin again, you should be able to use your phone as before and have no data loss etc.

You can deodex your ROM yourself using this guide or you can take a custom ROM from the respective threads...

Android 6.0 - [MRA58K] Untouched_Fully_Deodexed Base [10 Oct 15]

Fully Deodexed Stock Untouched MRA58K Base for ROM Devs to use to maybe kick out some Deodexed Marshmallow ROMs to bake in some goods
General Information - Background
I took an immense amount of time doing this and trying to figure out. I am not skilled enough to develop my own ROM at this stage of the fame. I have a lot to learn I guess you could say. I am hoping the ROM developers can take this saving them an immense amount of time and put something together. They do a lot for us, so hoping maybe this can help cut down some time for them. I also am implementing 3Minit Battery Mod as well by request. You have over 1100 batteries to choose from on the fly that you can resize or change without a restart at all. Hopefully we can get these mods going!!!
Download Section - FYI NOTHING IS FLASHABLE

@jolly_roger_hook - He asked if I could deodex and because of him I decided to try - He and I are maybe going to work together and see if we can get a ROM together...Don't hold us to that. I asked if he knew how and he is looking into it. So Maybe, maybe not
@joeldroid - For his batch deodexer tool
@txuki2005 - For showing me some great tools and tricks for Android M on how to deodex / extract

That's what I am basically running now. So at least this would be deodexed. I can't wait. I'll test if you need.
Make it so that layers manager is built in, and works, as that is what a lot of potential flashers will be looking for. Plus the 3Minit battery mod.
Strip out some or most of the Google apps that can be downloaded from the Playstore. Maybe a good solid kernel other than stock, for people who use multirom, that uses the kexec patch, and you have a kick butt rom.
Just thinking out loud. Lol.

Yes, now that is a good sounding rom.

I looked through the files a lot of them on here are not deodexed correctly.. The framework files that have same file sizes didn't deodex correctly. Trying to fix them now manually

Thanks, appreciate it, what are you using for deodex....This was a painful process with Joel Droids, I had to manually pull the army file down 1 directory? Any info would be great, or tool that you are using
If you want to compile custom android firmware, you can get started here: https://source.android.com/source/initializing.html
You'll need a proper Linux distribution to work on (a virtual machine is good for beginners). I suggest Ubuntu for Linux newbies. All information you need on installation is here: http://ubuntu.com
You'll also need to get familiar with Git. There are many wonderful resources out there on the internet on how to use it. Also, make sure to push your work to a Git host like GitHub or BitBucket.
Hope this helps!
Best of luck,
Criggs

[HELP] Hard Bricked LG L65 D280n, ReadOnly MMC Storage, HS-USB QDLoader 9008

Hi,
I have a problem with LG L65 (D280n) and I hope someone here could help me. Suddenly my phone stopped launching. A few days ago I had an OTA update.
I tried almost any method to unbrick I found on Internet but I still can't launch it.
Symptoms:
-> black screen, no vibration, no sound, no logo when turning the phone on,
-> connected to USB shows as: Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
I was searching for solution to 9008 mode and I found solution on russian forum: method with loader written on micro sd card. When I inserted sdcard and rebooted phone:
-> phone launches, vibrates and shows: Demigod Crash Handler: DBI Fatal Error, Pink screen,
-> connected to USB shows as: LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port and Qualcomm MMC Storage USB Device
What I tried:
1) LG Flash Tool 2014 -> Stops at 4%. Log attached. It looks like it cannot comunicate with phone,
2) Write something on Qualcomm Storage, which shows as unformatted (RAW) partition. Windows says it can't finish formatting,
3) Extracted files from kdz, and tried to write PrimaryGPT_0.bin using DMDE. Write ends with success but I don't see any data changed on the disk. It is filled with zeros. Only last few sectors have some data written.
Cant get into Download Mode, always have ping screen even with Volume+ and Power buttons hold.
What I can do now? Are there some other tools which can communicate with my phone by serial port or something?
Is there any magician which could unbrick my phone?

Sorry for replying my own question.
Today I checked with BoardDiag v. 3.99c and QFIL. Phone is detected and I can do AP Test, EMMC Test and SDRAM Test. Result of eMMC testing is always: FAIL.
I can dump data, but returned files always are filled with nulls. Writing partitions ends with success but really no data is written.
Is it damaged eMMC? Looks like flash died or is dying... I think this problem is hardware related.
However there were some data on BackupGPT partition. Today I tried to write to that partition and after this operation BackupGPT is also null filled
Im having the same issue . Did you fixed it?
I'm having similar trouble with my L65, I've used it 4 months before and it has crashed stock ROM (there was no root or any modification), I reapaired it with LG Flash tool and recorded new stock ROM. I used it for 1 month, when my Nexus was at warranty check and it was OK. Then I factory deleted it and put it away. Now I wanted to get it to my friend to start using, but pink screen with DBI Err Fatal! occured, hmm again crashed phone after no using a while.
So it looks there must be something wrong with integrated phone memory! I tried to search some solutions, but nothing what could solve my problem, then I get here, but there also isn't any solution.
I haven't knowledge of Linux and controlling phone via this OS, also I thing it won't help, when there is hardware problem, so only way for this phone is to put it into trash

The modem if connected directly to the PC with an Mini-PCIe-2-USB is recognized as QUSB__BULK.
We talked about this modem also on this forum: https://eko.one.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?id=21790
I've tried various tools like:
- qdtools, but the modem refues to read\write nand
- QPST, each tool I run (except for QLIF) send a message to the modem, that prints on console a string "Memory dump allowed", the the modem reset itself in a continous loop
I've all operating system images from ZTE that can be uploaded using fastboot, but if the modem doesn't boot into this mode doesn't allow me to do anything
any suggestion?
thanks!
