o for a while I've been on the DH Lollipop ROM, ever since 5.0.1 and I really enjoyed it. However, the ROM had an update to 5.1 and the ROM I had was having bugs, so I upgraded. I don't like the 5.1 ROM, it has way more bugs and some of my favorite X-posed modules don't seem to work with 5.1 yet.
So, I want to go to LiquidSmooth's 5.0.1 ROM but when I tried the normal way, my data nor my WiFi was working. I'm guessing its because of the Firmware on my phone. I had to upgrade the firmware when I first came to DH's ROM. So, can anyone at the very least point me in the right direction to get back to LiquidSmooth

I'm not a user of AOSP ROMs on this device, but I see nobody else has responded to your issue.
It looks like you are on Lollipop firmware (and also a current hboot and current TWRP version) so I would think that LS would work fine. And also if everything worked fine on DH Android 5.0, I would think everything (firmware, hboot, etc.) would be setup fine for LS.
Did you check the LS thread to see if others have had the same issue?
You did a full wipe (data, cache, Dalvik) before flashing LS?

Yes, I did check the LS forum and everything seems fine for them. The thing is, if I tried downgrading the DH ROM back to 5.0 there would be problems with me not receiving texts nor being able to make/receive calls.
I'll be frank, I've only tried doing the normal Full Wipe (Not delvik ect.) I'll make a backup of my media and try it. Thanks for trying to help.

I was using NOS 3.0.1 with the patches for data fix and was getting steady 3g data stream. So I did a full wipe and installed 3.0.2 and can not get any data. I really like this ROM. Great job on the ROM.:good:
are you sure you dont have data? have you tried using something that requires data? I am on NOS GPE and my DNA only shows signal bars, no service type indicators(LTE, 3g, etc...)
I just flashed 3.0.2 and it works fine for me. Did you flash anything else which it?

No I am on Verizon. I am going to try another full wipe. What else do I need to wipe before install of 3.0.2

Newt posted an updated 3.0.2 a few days ago, trying flashing with that if you're no already on it.
I had the same issue and an on/off toggle of airplane mode would get it working again.
I found out the problem. It was not a Rom issue. My 4g antenna broke some how and had to get a replacement. Just moonshined it on 2.06 and getting ready to install 3.0.4 with 3.0.5 update.:good:
I have a problem. Camera wont work. Most of the time its a black screen and other times it kinda works but i get the image below, and it takes pics like that but you cant view them. I removed apps that I have installed since I noticed this and nothing. Any ideas on this? I looked everywhere for about 2 weeks now. Not sure what to do....?
If a factory reset from the settings menu is recommended... what exactly happens to the custom ROM and kernel? Do they need to be reinstalled or...?
Running Shostock 2.5.6 And AJ 1.25s
And if this is not the place to post this... please tell me where? Thanks everyone!

Replacing the camera module doesnt work. Does the same thing. Any ideas? I doubt it since I have gotten ZERO replies. Was hoping at least ONE person on here has had this problem... guess not. Thanks anyway everyone!
I wonder if it's the kennel you're using. AJK 1.25s is pretty old, and while it is the Samsung version I can't remember if it's for the ICS version you're running; maybe AJ can pop in and reeducate me.
Anyway, a quick test would be to nandroid and flash the rom again without changing the kernel, then see if that solves your problem.
One other thing, don't factory reset from the settings menu, always do these things from the custom recovery.

I just flashed Shostock 3.0.2 the other day without flashing a kernel before I changed the camera module... same result. Thanks for the tip on factory reset.
Hi, i'm new to the Android world and recently started to change rom's etc so if i'm making a noob mistake please mention it.
On every rom that is based on 4.3 i can't make calls, the mobile network is working fire so are the incoming calls and messages. On the other hand on every samsung based rom everything works just fine.

Where i did wrong?.
Thanks.
Description makes no sense, if it works fine on Samsung 4.3 stock rom what is the problem?

I second boomboomer, unless you have hardware issues. My phone's case is no sound for incoming nor outgoing calls but no problem for everything else. Main board requires replacement.
P.S missed out on the part about everything is ok on stock. Yours shouldn't be hardware issue. Did you wipe dalvik and factory reset after flashing?

Go easy on me m8, like i said i'm new to Android.
What i meant that in rom like cm 10.2 i can't call, the call just automatically ends. On a rom like that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541054 everything works fine.

I did wipe and factory reset. On aosp based rom's i can't make calls. On samsung based rom's everything works.
It's finally time for me to do what every XDA user done already - root my phone and use another ROM. I haven't ever before done this that's why I'm very excited.
I'm trying to follow this noob-friendly guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213910 . I read it like ten times already, but I still have some questions.
1. I want to have a CM rom. Should I get Lloir's CM 12.1 or the official CM 11? The thing is, I won't be able to get another rom for almost a year and I want a quite stable rom.
2. I guess I should install the latest TWRP 2.8 recovery from this forums, am I right? But then, why on the official CM download page there is a separate "Cyanogen Recovery" file?
3. According to the tutorial, I should install SuperSu, is this the right version?
https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/
4. The thing I'm worried about mostly - my digitizer is damaged and I sometimes get "phantom touches", I can't tap anything on screen, the only solution is screen off & on. What if phantom touches appear when I'm in recovery? From what I read most things are controlled by physical buttons (which work), but not all, some requires to swipe. What then? Can I turn the screen off or abort the process and start again?
Thanks in advance for every reply.
If you need a stable rom you should stay on stock.
1. I use CM12.1 and used CM11 before. I prefer 12.1. They all have some more or less annoying bugs -> read the threads and make your own decision
2. Use the TWRP version which is linked in the rom thread. Cyanogen recovery has less functions and is not public released for x+ afaik
3. CyanogenMod is shipped with it's own su-management app. So no need to install SuperSU
4. you can turn screen on and off in recovery
Thank you very much!
An hour ago I installed CM12.1, I may say successfully, because it booted and now Play Store is downloading GBs of apps., so I can't in fact do anything .
Maybe just one lat thing. If I'd like to install a CM12.1 update in the future, do I have to wipe everything? Or just flash the boot.img and rom and that's it?
CM says you don't need to wipe, but Lloir sometimes wants us to wipe x)
In CM12 root must be enabled in developer options btw.

I can off skydragon and went to resurrection remix marahmellow ROM which is cm13 based. I love the ROM my phone has been running really fast and smooth. I having a problem that I cannot seem to fix. I cannot call out or in or text even though my phone indicates I have service. My LTE 4g data works awesome. Although if I switch my network mode to LTE/CDMA/evdo I can can call and text no problems but my phone favors 3g and will never connect to LTE which is a huge annoyance. I have wiped completely and did clean install of various marshmallow cm based ROMs with no luck. I have tried various modems and currently on 35b

Flash the 10B TOT to start clean. TOTs contain more partitions than KDZs, so flashing a TOT can solve problems that flashing KDZs and ROMs can't - I can verify from personal experience. You can root with the Stump app, put TWRP on with TWRP Manager from the Play Store and flash whatever you want from there. Personally, I stay stock rooted and debloated so I never have a problem with anything not working.
Alright so I'm basically going back to stock out of the box going to 10b? Then root install recovery then do whatever I want from there including flashing 35b modem correct

Yes with the understanding that you shouldn't merely flash the 35B modem, you should flash the entire 35B Bootstack, which contains more than the modem.
