I am using a medium end phone with stock android 4.4.2, rooted and works well. But I used SoftKeyz (an app which changes the navigation bar icons and requires busybox) and then rebooted my phone. Then I realized busybox wasn't installed. Now my phone doesn't have
Navigation bar
Status bar
Home screen wallpaper disappeared (blacked out)
Can't take Screenshot
Can't receive calls
Other minor malfunctions (which I've never experienced before)
I also noticed that the "android 4.4 kitkat" process is not running like usual in task manager.
How can I fix this? I tried installing busybox then restarting again, or safe mode

Hi,
So, a couple of days from now i notice an odd behavior with my playstore: it doesn't show anything on "installed apps", front page looks like the one attached. I dont remember been tweaking arround for some time, the last thing i remember was upgrading xBlastTools, messing with some settings on it (the 'stop sending google something' comes back to mind) and with greenify. When the issue was aknowledge i tried to revert the settings, disable all xposed modules, uninstall and stuff with "no sucess" (when i get the store to work, it stop working at first reboot). Then i've fully formated it (restored a vanilla bkp i had w/o restoring data). Got store working, rebooted, gone.
my device is
>a Razr M xt907 running stock [4.1] at first, then PACman v23 [4.2.2]
>rooted, unlocked bootloader
>TWRP v2.5
>was running greenify and the following Xposed modules: xPrivacy, AppSettings_0.4, com.modaco.toolkit, XblastTools_1.5, Master Key Dual Fix
-store version doesn't seem to make diference (odd behavior ocurred on both newest and the older available on stock)
-rom doesnt seem to make a diference (odd behavior ocurred on both [4.2]PAC and [4.1]stock after fresh bkps restores. those backups were done when system was just installed and fully working)
-'vanillaness' doesnt seem to make a diference: formated the device to be almost out of the box-like (still bl-unlocked and w/ TWRP) and still no luck
-enabling/disabling/uninstalling xposed modules doesnt seem to make a diference
-dpi doesn't seem to make a diference (got it both working and not working randomly messing w/ PAC size/layout settings.)
odd behavior1
1.Got store working again
2.Reboot
3.Open the store
4.The "by using google play, you agree to the 'blablabla' accept/decline" prompt
5. Stop working again (as seen on screenshot)
obs: rebooting doesnt make it work again ever
odd behavior2 (working>notworking>working)
-on PAC
1.playstore not working
2. switch dpi size/layout
3.get the "by using google play, you agree to the 'blablabla' accept/decline" prompt
4. it works
5. changes dpi again
6.get the "by using google play, you agree to the 'blablabla' accept/decline" prompt (again)
7.stops working
8. changes dpi again
9. no prompt (and thus still not working)
everything i do to get it working again, seems to be gone after the first reboot i do. Im amazed that not even a full wipe would work. Is it possible that some screw setting got sync'd with google?
obs: two 'devices' have been on my gp accounts for quite some time (couple of months maybe) and of course only 1 is working since ive ever only owned this one device (i dont have idea how google created 2 entries for the same device)
im literally going crazy with this, it doesnt seem to make any freaking sense!
my sanity would very much appreciate any help
thanks
I belive some users tried to run themer on g2 mini, but it couldn't work because of resolustion support. We have 960x540 (which is supported by themer), but since we have soft-keys themer detects 886x540... They recently added support for 888x540 and I've managed to get 888x540. I have stock 4.4.2 rom.
1. You need rooted device.
2. Install Xposed Framework and GravityBox [KK] module.
3. In Xposed, enable GravityBox and reboot.
4. Go to GravityBox -> Navigation Bar Tweaks, turn Master switch on, scroll to the bottom of the screen and change navigation bar settings (for both portrait and landscape orientation) to 98%.
5. Reboot.
This method reduce nav bar height by 2px and themer detects 888x540 resolution. You should be able to see themes in themer now.
i work arround that i install auto hide navigation bar and works fine but i going to try that maybe can be set in build prop to dont install nothing more
Well, I tried to auto hide nav. bar, but auto hide is not usable for more reasons, at least on my phone. When nav is hidden, themer works fine, but some stock apps crash on start up. Such as phone, contacts, gallery etc. When I unhide it, it cange screen height at 886 so, themer crashes.
Hi mate ! Need a help .. I have just rooted my lg g2 mini lolipop but there is this problem xposed says installing framework might brick my phone because, processor or something doesn't match. Therefore, what should I do now ? Should do a titanium backup before installing ? I haven't done any backup before rooting.
Thanks in advance
This method works on 4.4.2 stock KK rom. Probably it will work on stock 5.0.2.
You're getting this warning, because you're trying to install Xposed for KitKat rom, which won't work with Lollipop. There are threads on this forum about getting Xposed to work on 5.x roms, so, try that. If you get it working, you can customize nav bar and run themer.
My first attempt at ROM cooking, a (relatively) lightweight ROM based on the stock Samsung Touchwiz ROM but with most of the Samsung apps removed and/or replaced with either stock or 3rd party apps.
Still under development. Current release: 1.0
Features:
-Mini launcher (stock-like look but reasonably fast)
-Google keyboard
-Cyanogenmod mms app
-NiLS notifications
-Gravitybox transparent notification bar
-Screenshot option in power menu
-StatusbarVolume
-Dialer2 and fastcontacts as default dialer and contacts app. (Super fast but very limited. Stock Samsung apps included)
-(more to come in the future)
Installation procedure:
1. wipe data/cache
2. flash otonrom.zip (takes a while)
3. reboot (first boot takes longer than usual)
4. get through setup wizard. The only importand thing here is that you connect to wifi, you can do everything else later. (I'm thinking of removing the wizard entirely)
5. When asked, choose the Mini launcher. Touchwiz is only required on first boot for the lock screen and home button to work. You can remove it later with the Uninstall app.
6. go into the app drawer and open the xposed installer. Go into the framework menu and click on install/update. Grant superuser permission, then click cancel when asked to reboot.
7. go into the modules menu of the xposed installer and check all three modules. Now power off the device and boot into CWM
8. flash update_otonrom.zip. It will reboot automatically.
9. unlock the device and wait a bit. Grant superuser permission to Titanium backup. Wait for it to restore data. This is needed for restoring the settings of Xposed modules (I'm sure there's a better way to do this but this works so whatever. Might change it in the future)
10. The device will reboot. Once it loads up everything, reboot it again just to be safe.
11. To get rid of that annoying 'set up software update' notification, just click on it and click 'later'.
12. Open NILS, a great notification app, and set it up. You can remove if you want to, though.
13. That's it. Check if everything is working and please report any bugs. The default applications for dialing and contacts are dialer2 and fastcontacts, but the stock dialer and contacts are included.
Known bugs:
-After unplugging the charger, the battery indicator sometimes either stops working completely or just stops displaying the battery percentage. C̶h̶a̶n̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶a̶t̶t̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶i̶n̶d̶i̶c̶a̶t̶o̶r̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶G̶r̶a̶v̶i̶t̶y̶b̶o̶x̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶e̶l̶s̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶m̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶f̶i̶x̶ ̶i̶t̶.̶ ̶ (UPDATE: It appears to be incapable of displaying 100%. Once the battery level drops to 99% it should start displaying it properly.)
-sending an mms crashes the messaging app. sms works fine. haven't tried if recieving an mms works (UPDATE: It doesn't)
-(probably a lot more. You tell me)
Future plans:
-do something with those ugly green quick toggles
-remove even more unnecessary apps (It's still pretty cluttered)
-simplify installation process
-(you tell me)

Oh, I forgot. Any version of CWM should work, but just to make sure, this is the one that works for me. (see attachment)
Hi,
I would like to try out your ROM, but the filedropper-link is broken.
Can you help me out?
biopoit
Well thank you.
Hi, I would like to try out this ROM, but the download link is broken.
Can someone reupload this ROM and give link?
Thanks.
I have some weirdness going on with my LS990, still running the original ZV4 with Xposed and TWRP. I've never had any problems, until now, with anything on this phone, it's been fantastic and that's why I leave it on Kit Kat.
Starting yesterday, whenever I try to open the stock File Manager, I get the following error dialog:
------------
Note
Cannot read files. File Manager will be closed. Please check Media Storage enable settings and try again.
OK <--button
------------
Sometimes the dialog is in the foreground and I can close it with OK, but File Manager never opens. Sometimes the dialog appears behind my launcher icons and everything is unresponsive until I kill the running process using my nav bar shortcut from G3 Tweaksbox.
Also, I was trying to take a screenshot to include with this post, but it gives an error (Cannot take screenshot. Try again.) when trying to save it, plus the notification just stays on "Saving Screenshot" and is unable to be swiped away.
Has anyone seen behavior like this before? The only thing I have changed on the phone is flashing the new TWRP 3.0.0.0 yesterday, using the image feature in my previously installed TWRP 2.8.7.0. I've updated TWRP plenty of times and there has never been an issue, but one difference I did notice this time was it asked if I wanted to keep System read-only or the default swipe to make read-write, which is what I did since I have Xposed and it modifies the System anyways.
Hopefully someone out there has an idea how to fix this, I really don't want to start all over, at least not until Sprint releases MM for the G3.
