Hi all,
wanted to share this workaround found in another xda thread for another xperia phone (cant find the link again, sorry)
what u need: Xposed, Root, xperia keyboard 6.6.A.0.30 (and newer versions that will come, u just need numbers row for tablet implemented in the keyboard app)
This are the steps:
1) insall app settings for xposed
2) navigate to xperia keyboard in app settings, enable it and set DPI between 250 and 270, font scale to 90, screen dp 480x854, tick on xlarge res.
3) force close xperia keyboard
4) open xperia keyboard settings (font will be a lot smaller than other settings, thats ok), navigate to symbols and emoticons, and enable numbers row.
that's it. Enjoy.
screenshot pls
Not working. Cannot see this option anywhere. Useless.

I am attempting to resize the dock bar (stage) on my stock Ray. I have searched for hours in the decompiled Home APK and tried numerous things to no avail. Does anybody happen to know how I can do this? I would just like to make it a little smaller.
I have attached my Home APK
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Sorry to post here but there is no Q&A section for Ray
I have a world around.
Use a custom launcher such as launcher pro or adw and use a custom dock ?
sent from my gorgeus Xperia Ray
yeah I have used ADW and its perfect but for some reason some of the SE widgets wont work any other launcher and I like them.
There is a dimension for "stage height" listed here Home.apk\res\values\public.xml
I have added it to Home.apk\res\values\dimens.xml as it didnt exist there and defined it as 65.0dip as per the other dims but this made no difference.
My knowledge of the code is limited so I am at a loss.
SOLVED!

Resize Solution
In the latest Home.apk i.e FW .42 there is a dimension called Stage_Breadth here Home.apk\res\values\dimens.xml. This will change the height of the dockbar.

how u do that? show us step by step
Backstory: I installed thumbs keyboard (best keyboard ever, btw), and use it all the time. For some strange reason, my SGT will seemingly randomly default back to the stock Samsung keyboard. Being that I'm dangerous enough to halfway know what I am doing, I used titanium backup to freeze all keyboards except for thumbs. After a reboot, it appears that my plan worked....checking my settings shows that thumb keyboard is the only one available, and that it is selected (see screenshot).

Problem: While my keyboard seems to work for the xda app and my internet browser, it won't pull up in Friendcaster. Anyone run into this yet?
Potential solution: If I could somehow go in and replace / rename my thumbs apk where the stock keyboard should be, would this result in the thumbs keyboard being default? Any ideas how to do this?

I found a very simple way to get a horizontal launcher, using simply a glitch I found within an app.
Firstly, install Notification Toggle (i'm using v.2.6.4).
Add the 'Rotation' to the notification bar.
By preference change the status bar icon to a battery percentage.
Go to a stock app that supports a horizontal view (e.g. settings, Conversations).
Toggle the Rotation using the status bar.
Lock it at horizontal.
On my Xperia Ray, the launcher was then horizontal.

(Sorry, I'm new).
thanks for that i've tested it before and it's working very good......
note: please download xperia icon pack in the last 2 packages in the notification toggle icons downloader which is made by me to be more compatible with xperia devices.

Hello,
I have a MiBand, and to setup it correctly (I wish it to vribrate when receiving sms, emails...) I need to allow the notification acces for it
normaly this is in the Notification access menu, that is available in the security menu
like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
but i did not see something like this :/
So question : where the hell is is hidden ??? Does anyone have it on stock ? (to know if it is an error on the stock rom or if this error was done by the rom moddification ) ?
ps: on CM12 and MIUI rom for z7 mini I found the menu ...
It is on stock, but there is no direct way to access it from settings.
You either need to install an app that opens it for you (NotifierPro and others that ask you to allow them access to Notifications), or Install a custom launcher that allow creating shortcuts directly to app Activities.
I use Nova Launcher and created a Shortcut to Activities > Settings > Notification Access (Settings$NotificationAccessSettingsActivity).
i didn't find out how to do it with nova launcher, but the notifier pro tipp worked
I just received my 12T Pro and have done a minimal setup. I've installed Swiftkey along with the default Gboard. There is no keyboard shortcut in the bottom right hand corner like in this example below. Does anyone know how to make it show up? There's a shortcut from the notification drawer but prefer from the bottom navigation.

Maybe your can find it here: Settings -> Accessibility -> Interaction Controls -> Accessibility -> Use Service = On
Alternatively check if there is a setting called Show keyboard button in the language and input section.
None of those options are available on my phone. I'm on MIUI 13. Does it show up for you?

Yes these options are available. I assume it depends on the Android version and the various Android interpretations. Do you have gesture navigation enabled? I'm sure it's not because of that but give it a try.
It shows up on my previous Oneplus 7T but not on the 12T Pro. Tried with and without gestures and same deal
