Google Photos choose Editor on LG G3? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I recently flashed an AOSP rom on my LG G3 and the first time I went to edit a photo from Google Photos it asked which editor I wanted to use and I could select Snapseed for all future edits. Awesome considering the editor isn't even as good as the previous model.
But do to Camera limitations in non-stock ROMs, I am back to an LG based ROM. Now the Google Photos does not give the option to choose which editor to use. Is there something I can do to force this?
Thanks

[Q] Looking for someone with dev experience to modify a app.

I have grown to like the Photowall live wallpaper that came on the Samsung Galaxy S III and now a family member just won a Motorola Xoom in a raffle and would like the same LWP. My problem is that even though it mostly works fine (loads and shows the stock pictures) the custom photo selector in the settings is hard coded to use Samsungs gallery app.
I can also modify the apk to replace the stock jpgs with my own and it works but that is limited to replacing the original 8 and not adding anymore.
Would anyone be able to modify the app to use the stock Android gallery. This would be my first choice.
Or a second option being to let it use more then 8 stock photos. Somewhere in the range of 20-50
I have attached the apk to work with it is the stock file taken from the S3 firmware then signed with test keys just to get it to install and work on my S2.

S4 photo editor side-by-side feature?

Does anyone know if there is a feature buried somewhere in the default photo editor to join two images together into one side-by-side image? I know there is software out there on the store that can do it, but I like to keep my phone clean of software that I dont need.
Thanks!

Photo Editor Assistance Required

I have installed custom Beanstalk Custom ROM, one app I miss is the original Photo Editor which I can just draw and add remarks on the photo directly. Would hope any kind should would advise how I can install that in my Note 2. Take note when I go Play Store and search, it is a different version of Photo Editor. Also if anyone got any alternatives app I can make use with the same functions. Thanks and appreciate it.

[Q] New Google Camera App as Standalone?

I looked through the top results that were suggested as "similar threads" and nothing seemed to match what I was looking for, so hopefully this is not a repeat.
Now that the new Google Camera app is out, I've read quite a few comments/reviews from folks that just don't like it as an update to the stock Camera app (I don't believe it's still AOSP). Features like the shutter delay/timer, time-lapse creation, capturing stills/frames while taking a video, and white balance settings have all disappeared.
I'm using a Nexus 5, so installation of the Google Camera app eliminates my stock Camera app. For Samsung, HTC, LG, etc. users out there, they get to have their stock (from their manufacturer) camera app as well as the Google Camera app.
Is there any way that the Google Camera .apk can be modified or 'repackaged' so it's not treated as an update, but can be run as a separate, stand-alone camera on my N5 and any other devices that have Google's (old) Camera app as their stock camera?
TIA!

Google Photos - Video Creating and Editing option not available

I was in a trip, and I took a lot of photos and videos. I get home, upload the to google drive to be able to share them, and I see that a nice video has been created. I search about this option (cool feature), I wanted to edit the video that was created but I see that it is compatible with only a bunch of devices. Expand supported devices.
I searched in order to try to bypass this "device compatibility", but no results.
What I have tried:
-Downloading an early version of Google Photos (as a result from reading from this ) - maybe it is related to Google play services (see the update of the scrolling apps, instead of swiping for Google launcher)
-Renaming build.prop file to be like Samsung S6 How_to_here (renamed the model and the device, maybe I should have renamed more)
-Installing some "wonder apps" this_one
None worked.
Feel free to try 'em too.
I mention that my phones hardware will surely support video processing.
Chinese/indian stuff Gionee Elife E7. Android version 4.4.2, Kernel 3.4.0-svn464
I can provide all sorts of info, but I believe that it may be a simpler work around.
So, my question is: how to make that option (video creating & editing in Google photos) available from other phones, excluding the compatibility list.
Cheers! :good:
