Hi, last year after Samsung released the 4.3 and after many times I was warned I should update the phone finally I accepted and after that the Not registered to the Network appeared and could not make phone calls, I tried many solutions and also tried flashing a the Ultima Titan ROM and the XXEMH1MODEM modem, actually this fix worked but the camera did not, finally I took the phone and went to a Samsung service and they returned the phone working. Then this past week and without doing absolutely nothing, no update, no flashing or something else the Not registered to the Network appeared again and would like to try to fix it by myself as the Samsung service was very expensive ( My phone was under international warranty but they did not honored it) .
The IMEI under the battery and in the Phone info details are not the same but I assume it was due to what the Samsung service did when they returned my phone with the 4.3 android installed.
This is my phone info if it helps to get a solution .
I did make a backup using Philz touch just in case and also the EFS Backup.

I live in Venezuela so the phone OS is in spanish.
First of all I would like greenmanin the samMobile forum for his efforts trying to help me solve the "not registered to the network" in my S3 , I still have the problem and two days ago I went to a Samsung service operator and the person there did not knew anything about firmwares or the phones itself, even more she said all the Samsung phones where defective and I should never update the phone OTA as this could burn my phone motherboard, also if I use a generic battery my phone will also burn etc etc etc, one thing she said is my phone came from France but she also said the phones for America and the ones for Europe where totally different so Samsung could not service my phone at least at that authorized Samsung service center, so I took my phone and went away from that place.
There is another Samsung certified service center capable of repairing my phone but still I want to learn how to fix it and as the very last resource I would send the phone to that service center.
I would not like to bother greenman again but from his posts I think he manage very well this issue, but any help would be very much appreciated.
My phone was bought in Amazon , unlocked and actually it is rooted. ( Not now)

Nougat for the H820
LG has posted a Nougat ROM for the H820PR, which can be found at the following link: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h820pr-firmwares/ It seems to be geographically limited to LG's CAP region (Mid/South America PR/Puerto Rico Central and South America), so you'll have to determine if it will work with your G5. If you want to roll the dice, just flash H820PR20a_00_1123.kdz with LGUP.

cependant , c'est un rom de l'operateur Claro !!! mais ca fonctionne !
donc apk cherche sur le web : '' H820PR20a_00_1123.kdz'' 2.1 go
ensuite enlève la sd et la simcard de ton tel, éteind le tel
apres avoir installer uppercut , lance le .
apres
tu appui sur le volume + du tel et tout en restant appuyer tu branche usb au pc
le telephone va ce metre en sofware update et uppercut va le reconnaître , ensuite tu vas dans uppercur>>upgrade , choisi le fichier apk h820pr20a et c'est parti !!!

Guys, I've bricked my phone with that pr version, cant get it to work again, I bought the same model (I have two now), maybe I find a way to get the rom from my new device into the bricked one, but the bricked one its not being recognized by my computer, so, not much hope.

H820 upgrade
I have just updated 2 H820s to Oreo. I am in Canada and had ordered a SIM on ebay, activated and voila. Do not try any other methods, it will not work. Make sure no system apps are disabled and data roaming is enabled. I've said in another post, I do not know if this works outside of Canada or Mexico as I've picked a plan that includes roaming to CA and MX. Get your SIM cards from ebay and try, they are really cheap.

Hey dude! Can I order a unactivated sim from US and activate it in germany to update ? or do I need an activated sim to do it?
EDIT: Just found out that you need an Activated sim card with INTERNATIONAL PLAN to use it outside of US, Canada and Mexico. So your best bet would be to find an At&T Sim card with international plan on it already to try and get the new update.
I honestly do not know, the cards are cheap so it's worth a try. As I said in my post, it works in Canada.

So what happened is: there was a new update which I wanted to install through OTA but it gave me an error when it finished saying that it can't unpack the update and then it goes back to 0%, so then I decided to install 5.1 because maybe that would work, but it became even worse because I didnt make a backup of the original ROM and 5.1 didn't detect any update in OTA, so I searched google for the original ROM and I couldn't find it, not even on the manufacturer's website (https://allview.ro, maybe I'm just blind, if so could you search it for me lol because I never used their website until this happened so I don't know where to find the ROM, if there is any on their website) but then I found my "original" version but it wasn't really original because it was from telekom and the telekom version didn't have any new update and I want the new update so badly lol. Btw, I'm from Romania
