So, i was trying to install TWRP into my lg g3 and when i tried to go into recovery mode, it turned off and during the lg logo screen a little message appeared: error boot certification verify. Now everytime i try to turn it on the same happens. Also, my pc won´t recognise the device, can´t enter into download mode or hard reset it. And the red and blue leds are blinking all the time. Please help
hmmm, ok ive had that happen before, you corrupted the boot.img but theres a way! have no fear!
For some people its difficult, it takes a little skill to get the VS985 into recovery, remove your battery, then reinsert it, make sure its NOT plugged into a USB wire, press and hold power and volume down, once you feel the phone vibrate, let it go and immidiately press it again! keep holding, it may take some finesse to do it, but once you see the factory reset screen go down to factory reset and select it with the power button then press YES, and it will take you to TWRP, hopefully you know what to do from there.
plan B is, remove the battery from the phone, and reinstert it, plug a USB cable into a PC, make sure the phone is off, Press and Hold volume UP, and insert the USB cable, keep holding volume up until you see that youre in download mode
hopefully this helps

Well i have bricked my phone once again. I mean this is no big deal, i can get a new one from tmobile. But i have one question to ask. Why does my phone brick when i odin from stock 2.1 to 2.2? I swear its happended to me like 3 times i think. Its the worst, any ideas?
which 2.2 tar file do you use? plus it's most likely just soft bricked...does it turn on, like at all?
No its hard bricked. NOTHING TURNS ON. i have no JIG btw
Want to try to help me?
this happened to me too just try to get into download mode
Try this. It just happened to me yesterday.
!
1, plug the usb cable into the pc
2. Open odin, load everything etc.
3. With the battery out connect the usb to the phone.
4. Hold the bottom button first then the top
4. Slide the battery in and see if that works.
I seriously had a hard brick yesterday, no lights no vibration no nothing. I kept holding both buttons at the same time but it didn't work. I tried the bottom button first like at 3 in the morning and.it worked. Matter of fact odin failed on me like 6 times! It would go up to like the modem or the rfs part and fail contributing to a worse brick until i got it the 7th time. Good luck!

my phone is that way right now... no lights, no vibration, etc... i'm letting my phone sit without the battery right now hoping that this will help before i try to get odin to recognize my phone... thanks for the advice... **fingers crossed**
If you have to
1. Start Odin
2. Plug USB cable into pc
3. Power off the Phone.
3. Pull the Battery.
5. Plug USB cable into Phone.
6. Press and Hold: Volume UP + Volume DOWN + Power, all at the same time.
7. Re-insert the battery.
8. The phone will power now, when the screen starts a cycle of going to a BLACK screen, release ONLY the POWER button.
9. When you see the download icon release the volume buttons,
10. Odin back to stock by putting the PIT file into the appropriate area and the .tar in the PDA area.

Or try that same method, but WITHOUT holding the power button, just the volume rocker (up and down) when plugging into usb. I actually dont pull the battery, simply hold the volume rocker down while plugging in your usb to pc, from a powered down state, and that ought to get it.

+1 to bricked's method!
This may be a noob type question, but how do I get out of "download mode" if I accidentally did the "volume down + home + power" trying to get into recovery? I've tried pressing buttons and even launched ODIN again to see if it had an obvious option to reboot (without downloading a file). I'm afraid to pull the battery unless I hear that it's okay to do so. Please help!
You can simply hold the power button for 5-8 seconds until the phone turn off. You can also do a battery pull, but only if you're not flashing anything.
If you don't have the usb cable plugged in. I don't think it will go into Download mode.
Remember to release the Power button after you feel the phone vibrate once.

You can go into download mode at any time.
Hey so a couple days ago, my phone was working perfectly fine, and I plugged it in for the night. I woke up and wanted to check the time on my phone, but it was turned off for some reason. I tried to turn it back on and it just will not turn on. I've tried a hard reset, and the only response I can get from my phone is when I plug it into my computer and a white light appears at the top of my phone. Is there any way I can fix it, or do I need a new one?
Can you get into AP fastmode?
to get into fastmode, with the phone off, press and hold volume up+volume down+power. If you can, you can restore your phone
If you go into youtube and wearch AP fastboot razr, you can see some vid tutorials that are helpful

If you can't even get into AP Fastboot...i think you'll need a factory cable from Motorola.
Also try to power on the phone connected to the computer - maybe it'll work
when you power on the phone and see the red light...press vol up+down and power...wait till your screen just give a quick flash. then, press power again (don't release volume buttons). If it works it'll take you to the menu where you can fastboot etc
Hey guys wondering if anyone experienced the phone being basically bricked without actually unlocking, rooting or anything.
It has happened before one, just laying on the table and the phone turning off but it came back on after a while.
Today it occurred again but has not turned back on for two days. When charging the only light is the LED flashing constantly every second. If I hold the power button and volume up then the flashing of the LED changes pace to One long flash (1 sec) to two quicker flashing ones (.5 seconds). If I unplug it and plug the phone back, The LED flashing is back to the original constant pace.
When unplugged sometimes holding the power and volume up button initiates the LG logo and then turns off and then shows the logo once more and then turns off for good.
If I plug this into the computer, its like someone ejecting a usb and plugging it in like a maniac. I heard the connecting and disconnecting sounds from windows nonstop like as if its about to blow up.
I've tried holding the power button for a minute the same goes with different combinations with the volume buttons.
The only thing I haven't tried is opening the phone, kind of afraid I will mess it up. Any solutions?

Never heard of this but I can throw a few suggestions out. Try unplugging, then holding both Volume buttons and the power button (All three) for about 10 seconds. Try different USB ports.
Try this if all else fails: Source: http://cellphoneforums.net/lg/t348484-perform-master-hard-reset-lg-optimus-g.html#axzz2YPtvkfDk
To Perform a Master Reset via Hardware
1. Turn off your device.
2. With the device turned off, press and hold the Volume Down key as well as the Home key at the same time.
3. While both the Volume Down key and the Home key are held down, press the Power button.
4. When the LG logo appears, release all the keys.
5. Scroll to and highlight wipe data/factory reset by pressing the Volume Down key. Then press the Power button.
6. Scroll to and highlight Yes – delete all user data by pressing the Volume Down key. Then press the Power button.
7. As soon as the wipe has been completed, press the Volume Down key to scroll to and select wipe cache partition. Press the Power button when ready.
8. As soon as the wipe has been completed, press the Power button to select reboot system now.
9. The master reset should now be successfully completed and your LG Optimus G should restart.

Anyways, doesnt matter guys thanks for trying, decided to just go in att and buy a samsung s4
Hello,
I just flashed this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/rom-zyxxos-5-1-1-v1-0-pure-stable-fast-t3229169
on my z2 (D6503). Yes, I know how dumb I am.
So the thing is, the phone won't boot.
Nothing happens.
No LED's, holding power button + vol up also doesn't work.
Red power button also doesn't work.
When I connect the phone to the PC nothing happens. It won't get detected.
Any idea how could I fix this, or is it hard bricked forever?
Update1: When I connected the phone to the pc and disconnected the battery from the mainboard the red light started blinking.
have you tried flashing a normal z2 rom?

Nothing works. No flashmode, no fastboot. It doesn't turn on. It's completely dead.
start the flashing process with flashtool and your phone disconnected
Hold Power button and the volume UP button until you feel your phone vibrate 3 times. Now its off.
when the program asks hold volume down and connect it to the pc/mac.
Hope this helps otherwise i dont know.

Guys, please read the post.
Nothing works.
Vol Up + Power button does nothing.
Anyway, I have access to battery so it's off for sure.
i have read the post and i am wasting time trying to help you. Though maybe you didnt hold them long enough..
anyway
try
pressing and holding all 3 buttons (power, vol+and vol-) all at the same time till it vibrates once then let go of the power button and vol+ but keep holding vol - while plugging in the usb cable this MiGHT boot your phone into flash mode
Have you make the phone works?? I am in the same situation! No buttons work, no power, no volume, no red reset, neither testpoint, when i plug it to the magnetic port screen shows sony logo, left for some minutes just let the phone overheat and no more! Plug battery out and turn off, but no more! Completely dead!
