Hi.
I do know the .thumbdata3 do not contain original pictures, but I'd like to extract the thumbnails those huge files contain.
IS there a way to do so ? Any software ?
Thx

Hello All,
In the DCIM\Camera folder of SGS2 I have lots of jpg and mp4 file which have dup0 and dup1 extension.
Can I delete these files? Is it safe?
Thanks
Havent seen those on my phone...
You could check the size to see if they're cache or thumbnail files (if they're smaller than the original picture).
I suppose for each file you have a .jpg and .dup0 or .dup1 duplicate, right? Maybe they're just duplicates as the extension says... xD

Click to collapse
The files are the same size as the images or videos.

Some files have dup0 only while others have dup0 and dup1.
I copied some of these to computer and renamed them to jpg...
They turn out to be deleted photos...
Hi chaps,
I was wondering how do I move a picture from a folder to another. I sent myself a pic through bluetooth and now when I got to gallery there's a folder called Bluetooth - I want to delete this folder and send the picture to a different folder.
Any thoughts?

using my file or file explorer or what ever your app is named.
copy and paste the picture to the folder you want.
delete folder you do not want.
I meant these folders (see attached)
you should still be able to deete subfolders from the pictures or image folder file using my files.
Hi there,
I've been reading this forum and other forums for a while now but can't find a sollution for a current problem that i have.
My gallery displays alot of folders with images and i wanted to remove a couple of folders from it. So i searched for a sollution and found out that when you add a file to the folder named .noimage or .nomedia the folder would not appear into the gallery. That's true but after adding more photos to the folder the folder shows up again in the gallery... even when the .noimage or .nomedia is still there. When i replace the .noimage or .nomedia the gallery will hide those folders again.
Any others that have the same problem?
ps sorry for my poor english
Hello. Noobie here.
I really wanted to get the artworks from the game Deemo. It seems that they're not in the .apk file, so I tried the .obb file. I changed the extension to .zip, but when I opened it up, there wasn't any image files. All I see is the "file" extension name. I was just wondering if there are any ways to extract image files from an .obb file? Thanks in advance.
I recently deleted some of the important photos on my android device. I know that android stores all of the deleted images in next folder:
data\com.cooliris.media\cache\local-image-thumbs
and files are saved as chunk_0, chunk_1, chunk_2..
I tried some of the apps like hjsplit, Free big file sender, 7-zip, but none of those can combine those chunk files.
Is there any possibility to recover my images from these chunk files?
I know that images saved here are saved as thumbnails.. so basicly lowres image.. but i would be also really satisfied even getting this thumbnails..
