root problem
Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to bother you, but I just get an old Archos G9 80 COBALT, and I would like to try to instal a more recent rom thant the 4.0.4 Android pre installed.
But after completed the root process, tablet is so slow that I can do nothing with it. When I did run the RunMe.bat, I see an error message "can't find System in /proc/mounts"
Now, I have done a factory reset,tablet is working fine. But I wonder what happen. If one of you have any idea.

Danew Dslide 701R
Hey,
i saw that the posted ROM also is compatible with the Danew DSlide 701R.
I succeeded in updating the device to the latest android v2.3, which was published on the danew's website.
What i can't figure out, is how to root and to flash other ROM. All tutorials are french or hard to find.
There's also no way i can possibly think of, how to get the device in flash / recovery mode. The combinations which are know dont work :s.
Can someone point out how to archive it?

Just change the kernel in folder rockdev/Images before flash.

I have been trying multiple tutorials with poot, though I keep getting 'error 18'

I have searched all over the internet for a solution, though I haven't been able to find one.
I am using a huawei ascend p6, running android 4.4.2 KitKat and ministro II version 9.6.8 from the google play store.
Is there anyone that has a solution for this problem?

Is it just cm12 with a little bit of addons or its newly ported rom ? and does app to sd function works?

when you install rom you dont have to do a system format because if you do that you will get a system error. (system missing).
You can install rom is it still wrong?

After i installed that rom i see that i dont have root acces. So i rooted again with DP TOOLS and after that i can flesh recovery mode again. After i to that all is work nice.

help i think i damaged my shield
i did the root method to the letter however now my shield boots but nvidia and then it just keeps showing the android colors circling but does do anything else please help
Can you still use this root method with latest firmware...I just updated to 5.1...can I still root?
