Hello -
I have a Samsung galaxy S4 SCH-I545L currently on android 4.4.2. This is a phone on an independent rural carrier that uses Verizon's LTE. The OTA update does not have the 5.0 update available, nor does Samsung kies. Is there a 5.0.1 or 5.0.2 stock ROM available that will work with this phone - and if so, is there a way to upgrade to this without having to wipe the data?
Thanks all
No, because it would flash some of the wrong things that would lead to major problems. Not sure if that has safestrap/TWRP, but you could use a ROM or wait. I wouldn't flash the normal ROM for the normal Vzw s4.
Is there a ROM with 5.0.x out there for this model??

Hi I noticed the N7100 note 2 ports of 4.4.2 Kitkat are getting more stable but do any of you remember why the i9300 couldn't get updated, Samsung said driver issues. But yet we can now run 4.4.2 touchwiz on i9300 with no issues. So my question is why can't the i9300 get updated officially?
Because its old phone which had a lot of updates. From 4.0.4 to 4.3
Can you imagine how much money cost update? And update do not earn any money.
I am currently using a galaxy s5 running on 4.4.2 kitkat rooted, and I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade safely to 5.0 lollipop. Also, is it worth it? Also, my carrier is T-mobile.

I have Samsung S3 GT-I9300CDMA /GSM mobile global unlocked mobile.I am using CDMA network in India. I want to install CM 11 or 12 on mine mobile but I think it’s not possible as bootloader is locked. The snap shot of the android firmware version is attached .I have rooted it with towel root app but unable to unlock bootloader as its android version4.4.2.I tried to install TWRP recovery but its failed.
It seems that Verizon SGH-I535 4.4.2 stock ROM Is installed on Samsung S3 GT-I9300 mobile.
I want to install safe strap on mobile, before that I want to download 4.4.2 stock ROM which is installed on my mobile.Pls suggest
1)Which firmware I have to flash in case its get bricked? Verizon I535- 4.4.2 stock ROM or Samsung S3 GT-i9300,Base band version I9300XXUGNA8,Build number KOT49H.I9300XXUGND5 ?
I am unable to find out the firmware installed on my mobile on google.
2) Can anyone provide me the link from which I can download this firmware.
if im not wrong i never found stock kitkat rom for the s3 i9300 samsung never released one , god knows why , but i can tell you if you really wanna try a build then i'd suggest you try cm 11 one of the snapshot versions it worked great for me and it made my device so much better.
Bootloader of my mobile is locked so i cant flash CM11. I want to flash ROM using Safestrap. I required the 4.4.2 version of Stock ROM which is installed on my mobile, in case my mobile get Bricked.
So I've successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 from Straight Talk using TowelRoot and have installed SuperSU. I now want to upgarde to KitKat 4.4, but don't know where to start? I've done alot of reading on this and I understand I have to basically download a ROM of KitKat 4.4, but I am wary as to which one to download and how I go about installing it. I don't want to brick my phone.
If that's not possible or too dangerous, I would at least like to remove all the stock bloatware that came with my phone. My baseband/build number ends in H1, if that is relevant at all.
Thanks!
