That's interesting, I always wanted to increase the vibration intensity since I own this phone!!
I'm really considering the option of unlock the phone now
If I'm not wrong it's possible only with your kernel, since with stock rom there's no such "vtg_level" file right?

Since you can try, is it working also by increasing the value or is 29 a max value above which you can't go?
Thank you in advance

The scale is very sensitive
I did some tests here (I like the slightest vibration, so I use value 24)
Default is 29
The maximum is 31, the system is not able to go higher, it is also good for security, but I feel it slightly stronger :good:

Just tried, same problem here on a D6603 with a stock based rom ( fw 23.1.A.1.28 ).
The exact error is "Error Camera not avalaible" and the torch is not appearing at all in the quickpanel

This kernel is built from sources 23.1.A.0.690 and 23.1.A.0.726 (we do not have the sources of the current firmware)
and ramdisk is firmware 23.2.A.1.62
ramdisk can be the problem since they have some differences on camera
I suggest using a newer firmware ex .62
I use Firmware. 28 and moonwalker prevolution 1.0

@Gustavo RD78
Firmware: 23.2.A.1.62 is just a carrier update of T-Mobile and Vodafone (also a million times said in Z2 forum) and not newer then .28 !! So nonsense who said .62 is newer then .28 well atleast newer bloatware in that case
So you know that bro @eskamhl

I understood but as friend Pandemic said that .62 firmware is only a branded one from carriers, in fact all roms are still based on the .28.

Rom .28 and .62 were never quite the same, I found myself some differences on the camera (kernel and ramdisk must work together)
What I meant was that as I am using ramdisk .62 is indicated using a fw .62 to avoid these problems that were cited
.62 firmware is not only a carrier update T Mobile! The I am using is of .62 firmware from Claro Brazil!
Check xperifirm for yourself and see .62 in several other carriers not bloatware
An application present in .278 and .62 which are not found in other versions
If you still want, I can build a kernel with ramdisk .28!
I just want to make it clear that this has happened to me once I was with FW .726 to .278 ramdisk.

IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION;
MOST LIKELY SOMEONE HAS ALREADY ANSWERED IT SO:

Q: I'm experiencing problems with my xRecovery?
A: Make sure you have the latest version of xRecovery if Wolf hasn't included it yet.
You can get it HERE. Flash this over current recovery and should be fixed.

A:Auto-brightness is not included in the settings, but it is on the widget. The second level on the power control widget is auto-brightness.
Once you have this turned on, you will notice that under high light conditions, e.g shining a lamp on it, the screen will turn to max brightness, under lower light condintions, it will slowly reduce to the adequate backlight. Yes, this is auto-brightness

Q:Random Rebooting?
A:You will have to try reflashing the ROM, if it still doesn't work, then reflash kernel/baseband ftf. If that still doesn't work, you will have to report this to wolf then.
Q:Battery Drain?
A: This may be caused by many things. E.g baseband, the apps you have installed, auto-syncing, GPS, 3G data etc. Baseband .71 may not be suitable for your area.
You may try the Battery Calibration method.
Q: What difference does Mobile Bravia Engine make?
A: It enhances photo and video quality, ONLY IN STOCK GALLERY AND VIDEO APP.

And the difference in this ROM to some other available is that Xrecovery is fully working and bugfree+FPS Uncap included and all my Tweaks from 2.2 ported and tested working. Camera is working fine too! Home button too. This is just as stable and fully working like stock official unmodified ROM but its alot lighter and tweaked!
Quick questions:
Is camera working?
Is it stable? (people were saying that ftf flashed one has problems)
How to root 2.3.3 official gingerbread? (not going back to 2.1)
Thanks...

Can I install this ROM wtih xRecovery 0.3 on rooted 2.3.3?
Hi Wolf, one question
- Install Custom Zip and choose Wolf_GB_2.3_TW.zip
- Flash FTF File [Kernel&Baseband 2.3] with Flashtool otherwise you will end in a Bootloop
Do we need to turn off the phone between these 2 steps?

Overview
This rom combines the style of the Xperia UI while removing the bloat that Sony shovels along with it to provide an experience unmatched! Only the best of Xperia features have survived in my purge of Sony's firmware This rom is to be installed on STOCK Sony F/w Only ! (ie, 6.1.1.B.1.10 or 6.1.1.B.1.54) Depending on the base firmware, you might encounter bugs as such and not directly related to the rom (Yes, Im referring mostly to the broken tethering in B.1.54 )

Mods will work fine but due to the large no. of tweaks I added, some Performance scripts might clash with them, reducing performance or even causing system instability.. So I suggest asking me first if a script might clash before installing it
Installation Instructions
Stock ICS Rom (With no Rooted edits/Mods) : Flash zip via CWM ( Factory Reset.etc is automatically taken care of ) then Wipe Cache
Stock ICS Rom With Mods or Custom Rom : Flash Stock FTF, and then flash with CWM and wipe Cache
For Devices running a custom Kernel, Please flash CustomKernelSupport.zip via CWM before booting! Note: This zip file only makes sure there is no clashes, etc and doesnt allow running a Custom Kernel On a Bootloader-Locked Device Also, Install the Kernel & the stock FTF first, before you flash the ROM & CustomKernelSupport else you might lose Root access.Im looking into a fix for this now, but till then, I believe you can just reroot it with Bin4ry method ( or alternatively, reinstall again in the order I just gave)
Addons Package
The Addons Package contains the following mods which I recommend you do install. However, I want this ROM to be fast and simple, while allowing customization options for the end-user. For this reason, I have included these mods as an Additional zip which is an optional Install.
Just flash via CWM and Reboot! You can flash directly after installing the rom or later after booting it up

There isnt much to post here since I already included most of them in the rom itself But here goes!
1) Go to Settings>Development Options and Change Animation and Transition Speed to 0.5x
2) Download NoFrills CPU Control and change Governor to Lulzactiveq and Scheduler to SIO. Tick the 'Set On Boot' Option
Thanks for releasing a new ROM for xgo! I'll try it tomorrow after my work.
Thank you, I would be happy to try you rom but its to complicated for me to move all the way from Munjeni custom Rom with his v14 Custom Kernel+memory_tweaks (excellent platform ). You asked by default to installed it on STOCK Sony F/w Only.

Sorry about that mate I thought it's alot easier to just flash this after stock than making everyone download the entire Rom (200+ mb each time ) Ill do that in future for people with other roms though Thanks for the advice
so, we flash stock rom, then we install cwm recovery(munjenis kernel) and then we install your rom?
cool. btw does it have any battery tweaks?
Yup That pretty much sums it up Yeah enough to improve battery by noticeable amounts Plus Custom Governors.. I suggest you switch to lulzactiveq with SIO immediately

I think AnDyX's thread explains it far better than I could Just check out the links in his first post about What Governors are and how they affect Performance.etc
Simple explanation though : Governor and Scheduler control the speed and functioning of the Processor and I/O Cycles respectively. To control those is to control the entire processing speed and battery usage in one go You get the picture
i got stuck at the sony logo after flashing this.

What do you mean?
ROM from S3V3N always been very energy efficient and cost effective. I personally use since he showed his works at FORUM android.com.pl
It may not always writes in his work from someone taking modifications, or scripts, but they are forgiven him: D
I recommend! stability, well-chosen scripts (no bends) and, as always, is effective as a whole visual look.
BTW. One surprise me that he does not want to put the subject here and share with you their work. You have to respect that he allowed to share, come on I can do on his behalf.
Greetings to S3V3N of Polish

Maybe due to a cocktail of scripts.... This happens on other devices with similar 'roms'
Hi,
before installing the rom, have I to wipe all?
after installing the rom, I simply restart the phone?
at the moment didn't install, I heard that there are a few reboots.

How to install
Copy the .zip files to your CD card
Boot into CM recovery
Make a backup
Factory Reset
Format system
Format delvik cache
flash the .zip packages (ROM > patch if needed > wifi modules > baseband libs)
Reboot (Remember, first boot ALWAYS takes the longest)
Go through the setup process
leave to settle for 5-15 minutes
Open super user and update the binary files
Reboot
Your ready to go!
How to make this ROM Better/Faster
Remove setup guide once the ROM is installed (it uses 2.1MB of RAM and a super small amount of CPU power)
Disable ALL animations (Animations take about 0.2 seconds to complete, remove them to load menus instantly)
Change contacts apk for older version. Takes up 25mb RAM. Only added to keep you happy

I love DooMKernel by DooMLoRD , but he does not have Z3.
So, I started to learn and create custom kernel like DooMKernel.
Please do not ask me to add something, I don't know much about kernel and git right now...
Z3 Dual D6633 need a different kernel.
If you want me to make it, give me your Z3 Dual since I don't want to make kernel not tested on my device...

What is FOTA kernel recovery?
NOTE: this is old info
Xperia doesn't have recovery partition for user,
but we have FOTA kernel partition for OTA.
Since we have to unlock bootloader and OTA won't work on unlocked,
we can re-use useless FOTA kernel as recovery partition using Dees-Troy's "extract_elf_ramdisk".
With FOTA kernel recovery, you can update your recovery without updating kernel.
For example, TeamWin provides TWRP images of FOTA kernel for Z2:
http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/232
It's for Z2, but we can use main functions such as backup and install on Z3 and other FHD devices,
but device check by some ROM zip will give you wrong result because .prop in image has info for Z2.
Modified version of TWRP 2.8.1.0 image for D6603 is here.
You can flash images to FOTA kernel by fastboot command like
Code:
fastboot flash recovery fotakernel.img
To enter into FOTA recovery, press power key when LED is on.
How to restore DRM functions?
When you unlock bootloader you will lose X-Reality, noise reduction and so on,
but you can restore them!
Original thread is here, but I updated steps for Z3 and Z3 Compact.
1. Download zip from original thread
* Choose KitKat version (for 4.4) or Lollipop version (for 5.0)
2. Place zip in internal or external storage of your device
3. Reboot into recovery and do Factory Reset
4. Reboot into flashmode and flash FTF with Flashtool
Any FTF is OK, but of cource use FTF for same version you are using now.
Wipe: Check APPSLOG and CACHE
Exclude: Don't check
5. Close Flashtool, unplug and plug your phone and reopen Flashtool, then relock bootloader
Click BLU icon to show relock button and click it.
6. Flash FTF (same as 4.)
7. Close Flashtool, unplug and plug your phone and reopen Flashtool, then unlock bootloader
Click BLU icon to show unlock button and click it.
8. Reboot into fastboot mode and flash my kernel
9. Reboot into recovery and install DRM Restore zip
10. Reboot
11. Done!
After doing this, do not restore old data since it will revert DRM restore.
You can restore system with recovery and use Titanium Backup or something to restore app data.
Note: When you flash new ROM (not kernel), you must flash DRM Restore zip.
If you get "net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED" when connecting xda,
please disable PrototypeProtection with Titanium Backup or something similar.

Mainly due to it being a misleading piece of information.
However, great work on creating your kernel, I will be following this.

I know the work that is offered DooMLoRD. I respect that.
I have another smart phone (old model) and I had support for good offer there.
I write the translation, sorry if it seemed ugly the previous message. write with good mood.
Updated to v2 - now it's almost same as DooMKernel for Z2.
It's not optimised for Z3, but good enough to have those great features

You can change color temperature with Fauxclock.
I think difference is: white balance - change value to higher, kernel level color control - change value to lower
