Shure SE215 - Xperia Z2 Accessories

Hi friends,
I have a question regarding the shure SE215. They sound pretty good on my friends iPhone. Is there a difference between the sound quality on our Z2? And has anyone tried one out with the cable with the microphone? Is there a difference in sound quality?
Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

z2 is working great with se215s, i nearly get same sound quality as my ipod 5.5 classic.

Hit thanks by mistake. On mobile. Btw u can try any Nokia headset or buy another good quality headset from Sony. Because all headsets don't work on our phones due to a different hardware configuration.

you can buy this one. sound quality is very nice and its cheap also.
And I am not advertising, i just found them here so i shared it with you. You can buy from anywhere you like
Original Neo headset is pretty good too. Good bass and clear voice. Also skullcandy smoking buds are even better. And they're cheap, in my country they're 27 euros.

Thanx for the reply bro, so which headset i should choose for good sound quality and mic? ANY suggestion?
Yes Sony MH1 liveware.
Work flawlessly and available reasonably. £17 GBP on amazon.co.uk. I recommend changing the rubber buds though, the supplied ones have a small hole meaning you can easily accidentally align them wrong, so the sound aims at the wrong part of your ear. This is likely the cause of most mentions of only one side working, have experienced that myself before I swapped them.

Most non Sony ones will need an adaptor, a few others work but tbh the info is sketchy at best as you find reviews stating both, as the Sony ones where cheaper than smoking buds with mic I edged my bets with Sony ones.
Personally I'm very glad I did, I used to think the stock neo gb music player had bad sound quality with the original headset, now is as clear as glass. I have also used smoking buds with no Mic and the sound is better in my MH1's

Further to this some Sony ones don't work either, make sure any you get are for 2011 devices, I was given a pair from an Xperia S that don't work, you have to hold the mic in to get full sound. Starting from the S they now use the same standard set up as apple.

I also dislike stock headset so I ordered on ebay.com for new ones, and it works
Before that I tried headset from my LG P350 and it doesn't work on Neo, but some old aiwa headphones work but without mic

Beats?

Hi,
I have beats by dre and the buttons that came with the wired are similar to the Samsung headphones. What I mean by that is that they both feature volume up and down and the button for switching tracks and answering calls.
However, my problem is that the button in the middle for switching tracks etc works but the volume up and down don't?
Is there a solution for this?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Yeah.... Just burst it open and switch the small cables until it works then screw it back together again. OR you could cut the wire on both samsung earpiece and beats, just switch them around so you got samsung buttons with beats headphones attached, simple!

It's not a problem exclusive to beats though, i think many 3 button headphones have trouble working with android devices. Maybe if you'd care to share a pair that work without problems, the OP would consider them if the issue is bugging him that much, telling him to 'buy proper headphones' doesnt really help him.
I have beats also and the volume up and down buttons dont work, but it's not a major issue for me. I downloaded
Headset Button Controller from the google play store, it allows you to control everything using just the single button (double tap skips to next track, triple tap goes to previous track etc) works well..

My cousin bought those, the sound quality is extremely poor.
Flat and tinny, bass is non existent.
For that kind of money you could get high quality headphones.
I got sennheiser HD 202's for around 30 euro.

Yeah I have sennheiser cx300 ear buds. £14:100%. Mate compared them to similar beats earbuds. Suffice to say the beats owner wasn't happy with the results

I have those too! I use them for when I'm out and about and the hd202's for around the house.
I think they are great quality and very reasonably priced!
When you buy beats 99% of the price is for the logo.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I've got the Pro's and they're really good! Not saying that for the same price you don't get way better one's, but they are really good for trance music. I would have got something else instead, but they were a gift.
Got the same problem with the 3 button cable. Also the mic is not working properly, making funny issues.
I just use the simple cable with no button.
I have been looking for a adaptor from iphone made headphones to others, but none that work for the s3...

Yeah they're good for the price. Its pretty hard to distort them. I think if you Mix poweramp, full bass and any Hybrid track though, you're in trouble. But they do me.
Bit gutted, got up on the bus, caught the chord on the seat and ripped the left out of my ear. Must have strained the connection as the left is only 75% volume compared to the right
Beats is a marketing gimmick
thanks

Skype?

Just wondering if anyone uses this with Skype, and what their views are. How does it sound on the other end? Are the onboard mics good? Has anyone used Skype with a Bluetooth headset and if so which headset?

Oh im not an apple fanboy trust me..lol..but..i do know the ipad works great with the headset i have while skyping..worked withou a hitch. I have an acer iconia a100 and a500..neither work with the Bluetooth while skyping. I just hate wires and plan to skype from the road. The headset i use is for truckers..a blue parrott b250 and it has exellent noise reduction. I wonder if its just an acer thing..maybe asus will be better for skype and bluetooth.

Overall it works fine. But if connection is bad quality on other side is bad and you do not see it. Quality on prime stays perfect.

For both internal speakers and headphone too. When you activate xloud plug your headphone then increase the sound you'll get a warning telling that if you increase further it might damage your ears. That's where xloud is.

I get no sound boost..maybe it works better in 510. Hopefully a future rom will address this. Note 2 rom it was the best feature for me...it's not just the Ultra all smartphones are kept low...something about eardrums....lol!! Again this is for headphones only....I would never think about playing music from speaker...

How is the overall call volume? Is it loud enough?
Why do manufacturers do these dumb things?
I wanted the loud speakers mainly for the loud ringing advantage, as I set my phone down in one corner of the house and often miss calls as I can't hear it from the other rooms.
Hopefully there's a fix.

Apparently call volume is low too...
Everything was looking so promising for the Z2...[emoji22]
Can't be doing with a phone with low ring/notification sound...remember on the Sony Ericsson X1 the amount of calls and SMS I missed due to low (and poor quality sound).

Seriously, I don't know why every review I've read so far talks about the power front facing stereo speakers when the volume is really so poor. What's the use?
Looks more like a software glitch to me.
One more bug I find was the volume indicator which appears when you press the volume rocker doesn't seems to be moving continously the correct volume levels. Again, not sure whether it's just me alone with this bug.

Well, it depends on you, but I feel it's a software issue as I could hear loudly when I play music. So it can't be a hardware issue. It could be a matter of bug fix update from Sony to fix it.

Again, it's sufficient.
Web tests put the M8 at 85db and the Z2 at 82db.
I don't use my phone to blare music at high volume levels.
