How to remove root on S6 Edge? - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I rooted my S6 Edge using Ping Pong Root shortly after getting the phone, however I am yet to use anything that takes advantage of it. So, I'm hoping to unroot and get the latest OTA updates.
Can someone point me in the right direction as how to accomplish this please?

Just download lastest firmware and use it at Mobile Odin , it will unroot ur device with latest firmware.

[Q] Sprint Note 2 roll out kitkat but I have stock root.

So this mornining I received the message to update my phone to KitKat, but when I installed it, nothing happened. Am I stupid for thinking it would update a stock root? I used the chainfire automatic root method. How do I obtain KitKat and root? Thank you in advance guys.
It's best to update via PC and Odin. I doubt they'll have that file ready for a bit though. You probably want to wait anyway since I don't believe there is a root method available yet since it just dropped.

[Q] Traveling with Root

Hoping someone could answer a few questions I have for my Saferooted Samsung S4 MK2 4.3
I plan to take a business trip to Europe later this month. Does anyone know if I will run into issues not having the latest 4.4.2 update on my phone? I hate to guess that it'll be fine just to get over there and my phone not work but I also do not care for the idea of losing root because of having to update.
Being it's been over a year since I rooted the phone and I haven't been following this scene. I'm not sure what my options are as far as rooting the S4 with 4.4.2. still gotta search that one. I appreciate any advice. Thanks.
Can anyone help?
I see that rooting 4.4.2 is still not an option. Will I need to unroot and update?
If I were you, just to be safe I would upgrade to 4.4.2 and stay on stock rooted software while on the trip.
You can upgrade by flashing a no wipe or (recommended) full wipe nc5 tar file with Odin. You can't use an OTA update when you're rooted, it will fail.
You can root 4.4.2 using www.towelroot.com , one click and you're rooted basically
Thank you for replying joshm.
I will look at it now to figure out what to do. Hoping it's not too difficult.
Thanks again for the help.

cant root zoom sm-c105a 4.4.2 ota update

few days ago I received the kk 4.4.2 ota update, well I had tried everything to root my att gs4 zoom but I don't know whats the problem I used odin, and other kind of root tools but all fails I don't know why, I used chain fire project, I did everything, its there somebody can help me out with this one please?
The AT&T S4 Zoom is bootloader locked. Odin flashing will not work and there is no unlock.Without flashable firmware, messing with the AT&T version is risky. There is no way to flash to stock or recover it if something goes wrong except to go to an ATT store.
I am also looking for a root method for the SM-C105A on 4.4.2
kingoroot apk works perfectly on my att s4 zoom https://root-apk.kingoapp.com/
How did you do it?

S6 Edge root is it really that easy

HI Guys as my name suggest i am not that great on technical.
I am buying my son a S6 Edge only on the condition that i install monitoring software on the phone so that i can access it at all times.
To utilise this software to capture all messages whats app etc the phone needs to be rooted and this is the only reason i need to root and will not be doing anything else to the phone.
I recently rooted a note 4 and had all sorts of issues however did manage to get it back to factory and resolve using Odin and flashing stock.
On the s6 EDGE there are a number of sites that say use pingpongroot or oneclickroot or Kingo Android root. Can anyone advise the best root for a S6 EDGE and any complications i may face later having rooted it.
Cheers
Gifford

just remeber knox counter gets tripped by the rooting.. so no samsung pay etc
You should say what android version are you using, as you can root and keep warranty on 5.0.2, but lose warranty on 5.1.1
