yesterday i checked my gallery & there were no pictures in it ! not even a loading icon , & the same thing to my music, ringtones & videos nothing at all.
but when i connect it to my pc i can find all of my pictures & music there, i tried another apps like QuickPic & worked fine, i could access to my pictures but i wasn't that lucky with my music & ringtones..
i tried to clear data & cache to the gallery , music app , video app, media storage & rebooted them but it didn't work for me !
Well, i finally managed to fix it after long hard hours of thinking & trying & disappointments !! & before a close call to reset my phone :crying:
well this solution is weird as fu** i can tell u that !! but it works !!
after reading a thread in a forum i had this starting idea !
-first u got to hav QuickPic !! (works like magic) & it supposed to find your pictures even when gallery doesn't.
-go to any folder in QuickPic (camera, download ...) & click on the menu button in the right upper corner & u will find (hide or unhide), if it's hidden just unhide it ! if it's not hide it & then unhide it !! & do the same to all the remaining folders.
-once u are done check ur gallery & ur supposed to find them there !!
-once u find them there, go to your (file manager--all files--internal storage--android--data) & select in the menu to show hidden files.
-u'll find this .nomedia file in it (this is the root to this problem -_- NASTYY!! ) just delete it !!
-then go to your (Settings--Apps--ALL) & search for gallery and clear the cache & data .. & do the same thing to Media Storage clear the cache & data & Force stop it !!
-once ur done & while ur on the settings menu , press the power button & turn OFF your Phone !! & leave it off for 2-3 minutes !!
-then turn ON ur phone again & wait a bit untill it fully starts. & clear the opened tabs if there's any!!
-Go check your gallery now !! you will find all of your pics there with some extra weird Sh*t in there, just delete them & enjoy !!!!!!!
Now u have your pics & music & everything back to normal !!
i don't know if you guys will find the .nomedia file where i found it (in Android--data)! if not just search for it & delete it !! there's lot of solutions out there !!
Hope it helped you out guys ! really do !! enjoy your pics & music back !!

Hey XDA's i have a little Problem,
i installed the Weather APP from the GO Dev Team, everything was fine but then i want to make a Weather Update and the App crashes!
Now everytime i start my Phone, it loads the Weather Widget and Android crashes and reboot again.. how can i delete the App or reinstall it.. or what can i do?
I know a ROM reinstall or factory clean will help but then all my Telefonnumbers and Conacts will be delete!
Phone Details: HTC HD2 with Hyperdroid and CM7 on NAND
You should be careful with the Hd2....ok here's what u can do
Go to setting --applications---manage applications
find the app in the list --- click the app and u will find a clear data and clear cache tab---click both of them
Try the app again and if it reboots then uninstall the app.
Hit the thanks button if I have helped u!!!!
The Problem is that i don't come into Android..
I start the Phone, then the HyperDroid ROM starts from NAND via MAGLDR.. i see the Bootscreen from HyperDroid and then the Phone ask me for my PIN. After i type my code in the phone says directly that "The Weather Widget has a Problem" and the Phone crahes/reboot! :/
I only come into MAGLDR without any Problems!
So is there any way to reinstall or delete it in MAGLDR?
Or gives it a way to come into the Root of the Phone so that i can delete it manuell?
Ah.. i got it..
- I start the Phone
- Press directly the Homebutton after type in the code to make a selection
- Go to SMS.. then back to the normal screen and then to Settings
- Now i have delete everything of GO Weather and the Phone has no Problems anymore!
Thanks for helping!!! ^_^
Anytime!!!

Help .
This is what it looks like. any help???
i have seen this issue before.. it happened when my gallery was synced with picasa.. i had to remove it from picasa first.. i think you should disable anything that would synced your gallery..
I installed yesterday this rom (version 5.2) on my Live with Walkman with stock kernel. It's very cool, but I have some problems with it.
1. Sync with gmail account is incomplete. Everything except the mail in sync. I have notification: "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." And that in the notification bar still pops up: "Permission Requested for account <my login>@gmail.com." When I click the notification will automatically disappear, and after some time it appears. - This problem already solved.
2. The Walkman application and galleries do not display any files, even though I have plenty of them on the memory card. But when I make screenshot or takes a picture are those already shown. I do not know what I mean.
Thanks in advance for your help .
Try Factory Reset-ing from CWM or Settings... (Had the same problem and solved)
can u view ur files anywhere else? like in PC or with a File Manager???
That normal...just reboot several time and it will be just fine...
you may also try downloading ScanMedia from the PlayStore. It worked for me a few times.
I can view and open images and music in Solid Explorer or Computer. Only in Gallery and Walkman nothing shows .
go to Google Play Store and download Rescan Media ROOT...its free and it will help you rescan all media files on you phone....
Rescan Media Root and ScanMedia didn't help .

Click to collapse
reboot after each time you rescan the media....if the problem still persist then reflash will be your last option...

As our friend said : Rebooting will work.... :good:
If did'nt : Reflash
Factory reset helped. Thank you very much :>
I had the same problem and as you say the only way was a factory reset. However I chose instead to use a different ROM. In most cases GB seems to be less buggy.
Hello i am a new user here..so i hope i'm writing in the right place ok guys so here is my problem..i have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and yesterday i tried to install different ROM's until i decided to stick with the null_26 ROM. The problem is that i can't acces my gallery..when i try to acces it says "Not enough space". Delete unnecesary items, such as downloaded software, pictures videos and documents" . It's quite odd since i don't have nothing on it..i have 10 gb free on my phone..and not one picture or video do you have any ideas how can i fix it ?
Thanks in advance
Try connecting your phone to your pc and browse to:
Phone -> Android -> Data
Then navigate to:
com.sec.android.gallery3d
Inside there will be a directory called cache. Delete it.
Hope this sorts your problem out.

Hello XDA Gurus – greetings from a disturbed SGS3 owner !!
My Phone : SGS3 i9300 international JB 4.1.2 unlocked rooted , in use for last 15+ months with no hassles what-so-ever , thanks to all the tweaks & mods I found from here . Its tuned & optimised like a well-oiled machine !!
However, something went wrong last week , probably an interrupted backup , and since then the App Manager ( Settings > Application Manager ) is constantly crashing when I try to change default settings using the ( bottom left ) menu button . All other stuff on the phone is working like a charm , only this glitch & quite an irritating glitch really !!
I think the system file for App Manager got corrupted somehow ( I don’t think its a “heart-bleed” affair , have checked using LOOKOUT extn ) , and all I need is the appropriate file & its location , so that I can over-write the corrupted one using Root Browser .
Could someone be kind enough to pl help me with the proper system file ( as an attachment ) and its correct location ( which folder in System ). I don’t think I need a full OS reinstall for this tiny issue .
Would be grateful for a quick help !!
Many thanks in advance !!
