CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH MY PROBLEM? im USING c6833 Z ULTRA unlocked bootloader.
UP!
Seems to me there are some problems with drivers that in some way got damaged.
Just perform a hard reset or a repair via PC Companion, and everything will be alright...

It's not drivers per se, it's something regarding audio that got corrupted in some way, but flashing a new rom with flashtool *should* solve the problem.
Anyway, if you're not unlocked, you can install Sony PC Companion, and try to repair the current firmware that's in your smartphone.
It's not much, but it's one more thing to try.

ill try with any ROM from cm, etc.
Sadly no, PC companion will throw you out an error when you try to repair your phone with unlocked BL, you must either lock it and repair using PC companion or as you have said, flash some custom ROM.

yes. im running in 4.4.4 right now so that i can take a picture. but if i change it to video it says "camera not available" no sounds at all if i recieve or make a call the phone will hang need to reboot it again. any idea? its rare right?
Well. According to your information I can tell that there is a problem with your audio jack - it somehow got shorcuted and it might think that headphones are connected. So you can try to clean it with some alcohol and ear cleaning stick. If that does not help you will have to change your jack, but be careful,as you will need to take your phone apart. Including motherboard. I damaged flex cable, and had to buy another phone with broken screen to get a new board.

Basically, my phone USB connector, is for some reason not recognizing anything being plugged into it. I have tried a different cable and i get the same response :/ NOTHING!
Plug into the computer - Nothing
Plug into the wall - Nothing.
I need to flash my phone back to stock, but the only method i can think of is via USB, Over the Air updates are canceled out via the current software I have on my phone. So is their any other possible way ?
Thanks
I suffer from exactly your same issue.. sad 'cause i now have a very expensive brick .. Already covered the topic in my thread, but there is no evident resolution...
I suspect the USB circuit and/or port is defective , or poorly implemented, and breaks easily...

I would go in to your service provider, and hopefully you get an idiot who doesn't realise you were trying to root your Xperia, and they might replace it for you.
Thing thing is, it was going to be sent back for a repair. When the tech guys look at my firmware , they will realise I have rooted my phone, i was hoping to Un-root my phone and then send it back .. Or will this not matter?
Is their not a way to flash my phone back to normal, via the SD-Card?? somthing must be possible if Over Air is Possible..
Any Idea's anybody please?? thanks

Hey mate, ive sorted it out i phoned up the Network Operater, and explained I wasnt a satisfied customer, because Ive had the same problem once before (this time i sent it through phones4u with a 30 day wait before i had my phone back :/..... ) Nevertheless Orange currier are coming out tommorow between 6-10 with a new phone battery and charger. which i couldnt knock back (probs reconditioned) but nvm .
Will try and make my phone as clean as possible without any root settings. before take my phone away and probs fix & reflash the phone to factory settings anyway so i dont think it makes any odd's what i do now .
am quite surprised the woman on the phone offered me this type of service, as I got the phone from Phones 4 u, bet yet Orange are the company doing my replacement.
Funny quote from the phone call :-
"Are you sure you for the phone from us sir?"
"erm, yes"
"Ive never seen this message on the system before, its saying your not one of our customers"
"I must be one of your customer's otherwise you wouldnt have all my details"
"Yes thats right ill just ignore the message and send you the replacement"
is there still no solution to this because i need to ship mine back for service.

Hey why don't you try Zdzihu's recovery menu? You can flash some of the ROMS from Jerpelea without touching a computer... Of course you'll need to download the ROM straight to your device...

I've got this same problem too. (appologies for multi posting, I did search first).
No response since the upgrade. I'll look into Zdzihu's recovery menu.
If anyone gets any news, please shout.
OK put Zdzihu recovery on and flashed to Jerpelea's lite rom without the need for a USB....... however the problem still stands! Plug in the wall charger and nothing..... plug in PC USB and .... NOTHING.
I got this phone as a prototype before they were released, by a mate in the industry. So have no warrenty to send it back with. But I love the phone so any more ideas?
I have left it switched off to preserve the battery until a solution is found.
I remain hopeful!

What usb cable are you using? Did you get one WITH the phone from a friend, did it come with another phone, or did you buy it from a store? I used to work at RadioShack and we had different usb cables for different phones. The connector may be the same, but the pin position in the cable can be different. A normal looking USB cable that would come with say, a motorola phone couldn't be used to charge a blackberry despite the connection being the same port type.

Did they fix it or give you a new one and were you rooted? I have the same problem with the broken usb but I rooted and stripped all the bloatware and now have no way to flash back to stock rom. I still have the Rogers rom but streamlined.
Does anyone know how to put stuff back on like Timescape. I have all the apks from this forum and installed all the timescape stuff but it doesn't show up in the app drawer. If I clean up the phone and send it back will they know it was rooted keeping in mind that it is still the stock Rogers rom just with less crap on it.
I think one solution, since you already have Zdzihu's recovery menu, will be to ask someone who is using Rogers to create a backup image and upload it some where. Then you can use the restore tool from recovery menu and you'll be set up with Roger's again. Unfortunately I cannot help you with this since I'm in Guatemala but probably someone else can... I hope you can fix it men.

yea that would work but i bought mine factory unlocked and im sending it back to sony ericsson so i just need a generic firmware. i tried looking to see if any one did a backup of a stock firmware but no luck
Edit: nevermind. found generic rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9134882&postcount=1 at the bottom. going to test now and see if it works.
My Xperia X10 is currently not working (see previous thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=993785) and I still haven't been able to fix it.
I'm trying to use Flashtool to flash the generic X10 Firmware to my phone although
it's taking up to 4+ hours and then my phone battery dies and the flash is unsuccessful.
Why is Flashtool taking so long to flash a firmware to my X10? I've tried a few different computers and still the same problem.
Please Help. Thank you.

what about flashing a rom that you know worked on your phone, making sure you flash the right Baseband for that particular rom first.

not assuming you're silly. but you are making sure you have your finger firmly on the back button when you plug in the phone when flashing yeah? the simplest are often the ones that get you.

Read previous thread in original post.
The phone has crashed for some reason whilst using the FreeX10 Beta4 Rom and I cannot access the phone. It charges fine although I cannot turn on/access my phone.
not sure why the flash is taking so long. attempt to flash a different firmware possibly? Also do you have the latest flashtool?
Impossible to brick so you're not out of luck yet. Try flashing with latest flashtool 2.9.1
I'll attempt now with the Flashtool 2.9.1 beta. It's a shame that as soon as they unlock the bootloader my X10 decides to stop working.
EDIT:
'turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging' - It's impossible to access my phone to turn on USB debugging and unknown sources. What do I do now?

Not that I haven't attempted this but I put a compatible baseband and firmware and it took 7 hours in which it only flashed 4 items and then the rest flashed instantly which the phone displays blinking red light.

Try to use SEUS to repair phone if you can't boot your phone. Do not use PC Companion cause' it will try to detect your phone everytime you use it but your phone can't boot so PC Companion now useless. If you can't repair your phone, you have to bring it to SE service.

It will not detect your phone dude. You must select your phone from the list supported. It will tell you to plug your phone in while holding BACK key and after searching for update, you will have a notice about update or repairing.
I think i broke my USB port of my phone :O
Im able to charge the phone
But i cannot put the phone in mass storage, i even tried to do so in CWM
Every time i connect it i get error: Malfunctioned USB devices or something
Now i cant flash or copy files or lock my bootloader :O
Any way to fix it ?? :O
or will i have to send it to Sony ?
What i was thinking was to send the phone to them saying i bricked it, ie failed sftware upgrade
will it work ??
And i can charge phone using that data cable but cant use it for flashing or mounting SD card, it doesnt work
EDIT: Re flashed phone, required use of another BB cable
The bottom line is:
Either the drops caused malfunction
Or the Ubuntu installer
~~My phonesworking fine now after full reflash
So it was definitely Ubuntu
What do you guys think ??
It working fine after a reflash, so m guessing Ubuntu must've messed up
EDIT 2 : Older USB cables working after reflash !!
SO ITS 100% UBUNTU APP which caused this ~_~
Can someone PM the developer

I am not sure, but yeah this can be the issue since it was connected to main power line and little electric short can do the trick for the port:/.I guess try sending it to the service center.About the boot loader you can relock only if u used official method right? if official method was used then in logs your imei will be saved means they will detect it.But here most of shop guys even got no idea what is root, boot loader(terms) :/ and since you are from our neighbor country I assume things are not much different and they won't notice unlocking the bl.
Also try with another memory card, just in case.
People at service centre of sony are mad! They wont even figure out if you're rooted or your bootloader is locked! If you give them your phone for some software problem.. They just format the phone n give it back to you everytime! They don't know what's root and bootloader.. And since you have hardware prob.. They probably won't check anything related to your software.

Hi guys, i don't know how to solve a problem with my Sola. I read the recover soft-brick guide for xperia models but i can't solve it. I think i bricked.
When i try to turn on it's on Sony screen and there's nothing to do. I can use on flash mode and flash the kernel but the result is the same when i turn on. The led works like green in flash mode, or red when i finish the flash and the device is still connected. I have a locked bootloader, and all this happened when i wanted to restore a backup, i probably made a mistake: do a full wipe after that. I think that's is still in warranty, isnt' it? What can i do? There are some tips on the tutorial but i'm afraid to kill the battery or make other mistakes. Please help me guys.
And sorry for my bad english =(

Yes and flash is ok but when i turn on it's still on sony screen...i waited about 5 minutes. I tried with 6.1.1.B.1.54 and with 6.1.1.B.1.1.0 with same result. I know i have to wait after flash a stock firmware but i see it's too much time. Maybe because when i want to switch off i have to use hard reset (i mean with all 3 button). Glad I could help :good:
Just got the update from Wind in Canada. Still Android 5.1, don't know what's new.
Plzzz check any side effects on the camera quality.
most likely just the April security update
US Generic has update too.
I tried to flash the new firmware using flashtool. It gave errors and now the phone has been softbricked. I don't know what happened. Flashtool doesn't recognises the phone now and asks to install drivers for the device. I installed the drivers from sony's website but the issue persists.
Please help.

Nothing works buddy. PC companion doesn't recognize the phone. It's not going in fastboot or flashmode, the red light turns on whenever I attach it to the laptop, nothing else happens.

You need to press the "Vol -" on your phone before plugging it on the USB. Make sure you DIDN'T update the Flashtool to last version. You have to use the version 0.9.19.8 and before you flash, select the buffer size to 128K. I bricked my phone once and I could recover it.
I hope this revives your phone. Good luck!

As I mentioned earlier buddy, it doesn't go into flash mode or fast mode. Flashtool doesn't recognize the device.
Mine is rooted and update via OTA fail. Tried PC companion and updated successfully. As expected, root lost. Android security update is for Feb only. Cant tell any difference from the previous firmware.. softkey doesnt change either, annoying flicker is still there before playing a video if u had adjusted the colour manually .. Not sure if its a worthy "update".... going to try root again via kingroot.

I would like to report that king root still works for this device after the update. So does switching over to supersu.

It didn't work out at first and the phone had problems, but I run Sony Companion to update once more and it went through perfectly. After that, everything went smoothly.

I had to take it to sony service center, they didn't asked me many questions. I told them I was trying to update it using pc companion and it just went dead. They fixed the phone in 5 days and returned it. The funny thing is that I had unlocked its bootloader a long time ago so it should've been out of warranty, also, the IMEI numbers have changed and the drm keys and functions have been restored. Can't believe my luck...
