I recently got turned on to Rival Kingdoms that I play on my S4 but I'm not able to download it and play on my tablet at home. It says the reason is incompatible rockchip ...no idea what that means. Is it possible to root/mod around this limitation and if so can you point me in the right direction?
Device is Polaroid model PR0880DA2
Android version 4.2.2 (google play says it works on 4.1 and up)
MANY THANKS!
Michael

Your "tablet at home" is a low-cost Rockchip device. Little can be done, although you might try to download Rival Kingdoms apk and data and install it manually.
Cheers!

Hi.
My company is considering the purchase of an Android app (minimum Andriod 2.1) for our salesforce and wants to buy some Android tablets to run it. Regarding its functionalities, we're talking about an app that collects barcodes through the tablet camera and sends them to our network using our VPN over 3G network.
Mi idea was to wait a few months more and instead of buying the tablets, renew the laptops and buy some W8 tablets and run the application over them and that's where I have a couple of doubts:
1) How can I emulate Android in Windows 7/8?
2) Is there any possibility for the emulator to recognize both the tablet camera and the 3G SIM for communications?
Thanks for your help.

See here, Bluestacks
Hi.
Thanks for your answer! I had already came across bluestacks, but since the beta isn't available yet it's hard to find out if it will also emulate the hardware.
Thanks again.

No prob man! Sorry, I didn't realize that they pulled the alpha from their site. A quick google search will get you the alpha though if you wanted to give that a shot.
Download and install the Android SDK, and use the emulator that comes with it. You can set it up to emulate a phone or a tablet. Then transfer APK files through the Android Eclipse plugin.
Hello,
I have Binatone HomeSurf Tablet 8 (It's cheap tablet)
But it has Android version 1.6 and i want upgrade 1.6 to 2.1, but how? I have only USB cable not SD card.
There's no even Update option in Settings tab.
Model: S3C6410ZYOF
I can't access Google Play with that tablet, because it says that is unsupported device. How i can get rid of this?
Thanks.
For the most part you can't. This is a big problem with cheap products out of china aand other places. They don't have an agreement with Google so they get no support and no play store.

Hi everyone. Quick question, is there an easy way to make a app that is unavailable for my model work? I have a Minix X7 android tv box and would like to access the SKyGO tv app on it. I think is is running android 4.4.2 from memory. The SKygo app at this stage looks to only be available for a handful of common devices in my country (NZ). I do notice however that it has recently worked on my Teclast X98 Air 3g with 4.4.4. OK.
The X7 is spoofed a a nexus 10 or something ( from when I flashed a rom a while back)
Thanks in advance for any ideas
I tried editing the build prop
With a couple of supported models and now the app comes up in Google play but shows as incompatible. Strange how the app is working on my teclast x98 air tablet when it's not meant to be compatible. Must be something else the sky go app looks for to be compatible.
In case the official app from the Play Store is marked as "unavailable" for your device, you can search for the apk-version, which is available for all devices. You can use this link for example to download it.
One note: this linked version is the German version, not sure, if you can change the language to whatever you want. If not, search for the apk for your country.
Disney+ is on a free trial in the Netherlands right now, so just for fun and curiosity really, I grabbed the APK for the Disney+ app here...
https://apk.support/app/com.disney.disneyplus#per_area
and installed it on my Note 9, and fired up my VPN, connected to the Netherlands and attempted to launch the app.
I guess it must be doing some kind of region check on my phone at launch as it just stops. Visiting the Disney+ app page on the google play store via VPN informs me that the app is incompatible with all my devices even though I have two Nvidia Shields and my Samsung Note 9 as well as a few other android devices - it's definitely running on Shields in the Netherlands as they have been shown on various web sites.
Anyone know of any jiggery pokery we can try to get this thing running on our None-Netherland devices - because we can :silly::silly::silly:
Thanks.

The app you linked isn't complete. It's legit (I checked the SHA-1 hash against an installed, working version of the apk and the one from Google Play are the same).
If you use a VPN provider with an IP based out of the Netherlands & Aurora, you should be able to properly install the app on a rooted device.
SAI (which Aurora uses) allows you to install split/bundled apk or extract complete bundles to archive for later.
You can't login though. The app will give you an error if you try to proceed with signing up or try to enter an existing login. I don't know much more beyond that.

Yeah seems like Disney has their uber A-Game engaged for VPN blocking too - probably why they launched the beta in a smaller market, test the load balancing and the gate-keeping all at once.
get it to work with anything?
Did you check any other server? if its not working then you should go for another option like PureVPN or Cyberghost. They both are working fine.

How to install Disney + using the SAI app.
Hello everyone,
I searched for this but ddidn't find it. So forgive me if I missed it. Here is a link to get Disney + to work on a rooted android device.
https://youtu.be/SOdkuy9dZGs[/url]
There is a link in his description to all the files to download plus the SAI app. It was very easy and I've already watched two episodes of Star Wars Rebels so the app definately works. the Disney + app is split into three pieces then reassembled by SAI.
Good luck!!
?
This worked for me on my rooted Huawei Honor Note 8 !
I had Disney Plus on all my other devices but I could not get it on my rooted Huawei honor note 8 and now it works perfectly!
Thank you ?
Anyone have a working app for the Shield as of yet for Apple TV +?
Cheers
Apple TV+ 1.2 apk works but when you go to sign in it requires something from the Fire TV firmware to complete.
I tried it but it doesn't work.
None work right now... seems most are counting on the release of Sony's APK for it to work.
Hi,
is there still no way to play Apple TV+ Stuff on Android without an iPhone/iPad?
Every newest version from the FireTV won´t work cause i need to install the latest FireTV Firmware ...

you can use browser then cast it to nstv or open tv.apple.com in a browser
Sorry for a stupid question and please don't link anything here if it violates any rules:
Where do people find a legit version of the APK?
Thinking about trying this on my Philips Android-TV and if that fails on my Odroid-C4 running Android.
Don't know how kinky sideloading an app is usually i.e. trying the APK for Shield / FireTV wouldn't work on either my TV (pref.) or "HTPC"?
Sorry for hijacking a bit, will do a separate thread if it is required (and allowed).
Best Regards / TheSwede86

personally i dont have time to teach the basics on adb sideloading an app.. it should work on shield easily if ur connected to it properly and running the right commands in adb..
theres thousands of guides online about adb and adb install.. the apple tv+ app doesnt work on nstv however at this time so even sideloading the app will not work.. the only method ive used is to use web browser then go to tv.apple.com and play the videos through the web browser

I think you might have misunderstood what I was getting at;
I know how to sideload an app but it was just a general question on how kinky an app developed for a certain device (ex. FireTV / Shield) can be on another device (Philips implementation of Android-TV) etc. since they both are running Android.
My TV running Android-TV hasn't implemented something called "Android Mode Setting API" for instance and that caused some issues with an app (according to the devs).
So I can totally get that even through having the same platform - Android - different hardware can treat it differently depending on different hardware specs or implementations of Android.
However the question as where to find a reputable source of the APK remains, just googling it reveals a lot of different download locations where a lot seems really...sketchy.

LG 2018 model TVs just got an update that gives them Apple TV app, so may be there is hope for Android TV devices
LG rolls out Apple TV app for select 2018 smart TVs:

Any updates to this? i was about to start a new thread, when i came across this.
I got a free year of Apple TV+ with my iPhone 11 Pro Max for work, and just recently switched from Roku to the Chromecast with Google TV.
My fiancé got into one of the shows and i'd like to sideload the APK, if possible, if there's one that works.
Well, there is strictly Android TV version now (it was released with software update for some Sony TVs), but it also fails to work on other devices (says software update is required) - Source.
