[Q] Help for Htc Desire 610 - HTC Desire 610

I'm having a problem whenever i install Link2sd. After linking all my user apps, my phone says "android is upgrading" for a few moments after each boot and stays that way until i completely uninstall link2sd. I have played with it best i could to toggle a different outcome and the Ext4 partition I'm using as the second partition mounts just fine. Any ideas?

[Q] Moving dalvik cache to sd-ext doesn't work?

I've searched and read on other sections. but I can't find a solution to this.
I've also done the specific instructions, and still got problems with moving dalvik to sd-ext. Every time I try it even with the ext3 or trying to mount as ext4 I get the HTC screen stuck on boot and can't pass that.
I can move applications but not dalvik and I need the space, as my data folder was almost completly full after a month of use in the device.
Any suggestions?
What ROM and apps2ext method are you using?
cyanogen 7.1.0 and S2E latest version.
I'm using an ext3 partition. I've wiped phone, formatted sd card with fat32, ext3 and linux swap. and if I move only apps everything works fine. if I move apps + dalvik the phone stuck on the HTC white screen.
Also is there a recovery for Aria that supports ext4?

I dunno what's causing that. I'd probably try doing a 100% clean install to see if it fixes it. (In particular, wipe data/factory reset and format system and boot partitions before installing CM7 and Gapps again.)

I don't know, but there's very little benefit to using ext4 over ext3 for this particular purpose anyway. Also mounting ext3 as ext4 is equivalent in performance to ext4, if you really care about that.
how do you format boot and system partitions? I've re installed rom and s2e again. I will try to move dalvik later today after I'll have time to backup. for now the apps moved and works fine and the option to move dalvik is available.
when I mount ext3 as ext4 the recovery shows no sd-ext available. I think it's also mark the sd-ext as ext4 again, even without any action on it, which makes the sd-ext unusable when the phone boots up. it also not allows to backup the partition.

In CWM recovery, select "mounts and storage". The options to format the boot and system partitions will be there.

Yeah, honestly, just use ext3. No one would actually notice a difference in performance between ext3 and ext4 for this particular purpose, and it's a lot more convenient to be able to make backups of the ext partition without any issues.
thx for all the help. I really don't know what is happening.
I've wiped boot + system, did factory wipe, wiped cache, installed CM 7.1.0 + Gapps, didn't even insreted sim card, installed only S2E and when i select Apps + Dalvik the phone is stuck on the HTC white screen.
Really frustrated with this.

Can you confirm that the ext partition is formatted as a primary partition (not logical)? Have you tried a different SD card? Beyond that I'm not sure what is going on.
The first boot after enabling "dalvik cache" should take a while, but it shouldn't be at the HTC white screen, it should be at the CM boot screen.
I've formatted and re formatted the card, I will try another one.
Even if it's the card, how the apps are moving fine and the dalvik doesn't.
I've tried another thing: I've partitioned the card through ROM Manager, and it created a 512MB partition. I then moved the dalvik cache to the SD-ext and it worked. then I've used gparted to resize the partition to 1024MB. it also worked. I suspect that something in the formatting process wasnt right although I've always kept on creating primary partitions.

[Q] [CM9-NFE6.0] [P-500] [Link2sd] 2nd partition lose format at reboot

Hello everyone, this is my very (noob) first thread, and is a question.
I've started reading xda forums like 3 days ago, for like 12 hours each day... and its an amazing comunity of knowledge. Osom.
Well... ive been trying to set a 2nd partition on my 32gb C10 SD for extend internal memory with link2sd on my OptimusOne... on the way i learned how to mod, terminal mount and modify, recover, and all the stuffs that could make this work... but i surrender.
I can make it work formating SD with mini-tool partition wizz, conecting device to PC, and seting into USB massive storage mode (yeap! Worked indeed!!) but if i reboot 2nd Part. lose format and link2sd report error on mounting 2nd partition (says its invalid, mini-tool says it's unformated)... for re-mount i have to re-format with mini-tool and wipe the data... so i've avoided linking any app.
Readed about NAND lock (my device is by default unlocked), /system permisions, and others... and i simply cant make 2nd partition stays at FAT32. (yes, i tried with the other formats too, formated with CWM on recovery mode too and nothing).
Tried this too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971689, and didn't work for me.
Last discover was that via Root Browser app, /system file has no "Sticky" permision, if i modify it then busybox and other apps fail and run into recovery mode... (had to reinstal everything several times)
I know there is some kind of permision that i missed... but could be kernel config?
The most simply thing and i cant make it work... ideas?

[Q] Boot crash: Cyanogenmod 11 + Link2SD gone wrong

Edit #1: Sorry, the question form didn't save the "This is a question post" tick after I previewed, I hope that doesn't mess up things.
Edit #2: I should also point out that I backed up everything previously, so I don't care about saving any data on the phone, I just want it working again...
Edit #3: I keep forgetting some small details, the phone wouldn't boot even when removing the SD card.
Hello,
Two days ago I decided to try the SD Link feature from Link2SD on my Galaxy S2, because I was tired of running low on internal storage space when I had a 32gb SD card just for photos.
I was only linking games and other apps that were not important to the phone's normal functionality, but on 3 our 4 occasions Link2SD would hang on the linking process and I'd wait 10 minutes before force quitting the app each time. This wasn't causing any problems, until the last hang. I restarted the app and saw that it couldn't compute any of the other apps internal size. So I rebooted the phone and got stuck on a boot crash.
Sometimes the boot would go beyond the Samsung logo and into the Cyanogenmod loading, but the phone would shutdown before leaving that screen.
I had CWM on my phone, so I tried a bunch of stuff:
to wipe data/factory reset
wipe dalvik cache
wipe cache
reinstall Cyanogenmod from a zip (either from internal, sdcard0, sdcard1, and even Odin)
After so many attempts, my searches started pointing me to the fact that some system files could be bad, so I tried:
format /system
format /data
I didn't format /boot but it's reaching the point that it's the only thing I haven't tried.
So next I used Odin to flash back to stock ROM, and in the process lost CWM.
Since that didn't work, I flashed a stock Kernel too.
I should point out that the phone was working perfectly before this Link2SD mess, and also that each time I flashed with Odin, I would get a glimpse of the app optimization process, that would reach around 39 of 42 apps before the phone would shutdown.
I'm running out of ideas and search keywords.
Please help.
Thank you for your time.

Problem with partitions size (hidden sdcard0)

Hi guys,
I want to ask you for help with re-partition of my "Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100"
Original size of the OS & apps partition is 2GB the rest is for user files, but 2GB storage is not enough for my needs, I want to install more programs but with so small size I simply can't do it.
What I did so far. I use "CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.tar" with "I91001GB_6GB.pit", transferred to the phone with ODIN, after that Cyanogenmod was installed.
Everything was looking good system is working OS & apps partition has new 6GB size but I have noticed lack of the internal storage partition, it's gone.
Also new installed apps after when I want to use them give me the information "stop working" for example "Waze" or "The Terra Collection"
I found over internet that I need orygional SAMSUNG Android to do this operation.
So I flash back to the "I9100_2GB-STOCK.pit" with "CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.tar", after that I have installed "I9100XXMS7_I9100OXAMS7_I9100XXMS2_HOME.tar.md5"
After that apps mentioned before "Waze" and "The Terra Collection" was working just fine.
So i tried one more time, this time with "Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.4.8-20150619-i9100"
Unfortunately the result is the same, OS is running but the lack of the internal partition not allow me to run installed apps.
Also I have noticed this informations from "CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.tar"
E:Can't mount /storage/sdcard0
Error Mounting /sdcard/.android_Secure
I don't want to broke my phone, please help me to accomplish this process, thank you!
You could try to mount sdcard0 via recovery. Or wipe all partitions and then flash ROM and Gapps. Sometimes Android needs a wipe to recognise partitions again.

Link2sd Sony C3 Dual

hallo guys
it's my first time here.
:angel::angel::angel:
I have two phones Sony Xperia C3 dual:
Lollipop 5.1.1
Rooted with Kingroot
Stock ROM
for both of them.
I rooted the first one and uninstalled some system Apps and linked all Applications to SD card second partition (EXT2) with Link2sd application.
and everything is working very good with no problem.
NOW MY PROBLEM IS WITH THE SECOND PHONE:
1- I couldn't link my apps to the second partition, The link2sd app couldn't mount the script
It says to me:
"mount script cannot be created cannot unmount /data/sdext2: invalid argument mount: Operation not permitted"
I tried all (EXT2,EXT3, EXT4, FAT32)
2- I couldn't uninstall some System Apps
I tried with:
Titanium backup
Link2sd
Kingroot
all of them just hide these Apps and when i restart my phone they appear again.
3- I couldn't use the ADAWAY App to block the ADS.
4- I'm not sure if i will have other problems later with it
So i'm very confused about these phone what's the wrong with them
finally i wish i could explain everything in a good way, and you can help me
thanks
