[Q] CDMA/GSM/SIM question! - HTC Desire 601

I would like to know if any of the CDMA versions of this phone (Sprint, Virgin, Alltel) have a SIM slot and if they're compatible with gsm networks. According to gsmarena, all version of the phone are compatible with GSM networks, I'm not sure how true that is. Some insight would be nice. Thanks!

They do have sim slots but I have no idea about you question

Is A6265 / Hero 130 Telus HTC hero a CDMA or GSM phone?

I know it's a WCDMA / GSM phone, do i follow instructions for GSM hero phones or CDMA Hero phones?
I checked the specs of Sprint CDMA and it doesn't have GSM on it so i guess i have to go with GSM instructions.
Can anyone confirm please...
The Telus Hero is a GSM Hero.
indeed.
Note that CDMA and WCDMA are not the same thing.
WCDMA is the 3G evolution of GSM, whereas CDMA is a joke
Thanks a lot!

Question about Hero GSM and CDMA

Hi,
Recently i have aquired and HTC Hero.
While i was reading posts here at xda, i encountered people talking about GSM and CDMA, where i got really confused.
I've searched google to answer my questions and only i could find was Sprint version and Europian vertion, plus got more confused.
Here is the link of the Hero i have:
http://www.phonehouse.pt/DetalheProduto.aspx?pid=2054
What are the deferences about those two Hero's?
What vertion do i have?
if you put a simcard in it it is GSM, if not it is CDMA. the picture you linked is AFAIK a gms hero, not sure whether you can tell it for sure just by looking at it. GSM and CDMA are different mobile network technologies, to make it short GSM is europe CDMA is usa.
With the hero its quite easy though, the CDMA version looks different to the GSM.
But phones normally look the same.
Pretty sure you have a GSM Hero. That looks to be a European site (selling in Euros) - is it Portugal? All European Heros are GSM. The CDMA ones are for the Sprint network in the USA. The main difference is that they use different mobile phone technology. And the GSM one has a SIM card the CDMA one does not.

If you're on Sprint, Boost Mobile, Nextel, Cricket, or Straight Talk, then you're definitely on 1900mhz CDMA. If you're outside of the US, you're most likely on GSM. And as stated above, if you have a SIM card (not microSD, that has nothing to do with your network), then you ARE on GSM. It is also entirely possible that you SOMEHOW have GSM and CDMA radios and are on both. Although this is not very likely, because I have never heard of an Evo 3D having both.

So should the GSM phone work on both radios? Because its working on both (cdma and gsm)

[Q] GSM or CDMA

Just Wondering I have the HTC EVO 3D and How do i know if I CDMA or GSM
If you use a sim card in your phone, you're on a gsm network. Otherwise you're on a cdma network.
Europe = GSM
US = CDMA(Sprint, Boost Mobile, Metro PCS, others?)
