[Q] BLU Studio Energy stuck in boot loop after wireless update - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My BLU Studio Energy is stuck in a boot loop after trying to install the suggested wireless update. I chose to install the update and it never got out of the boot loop.
After start up it goes to an "Android system recover <3e> BLU_D810u_V09_GENERIC menu. The menu choices are:
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from scdcard
apply update from sdcard2
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup user data
restore user data
I've tried to wipe cache partition followed by wipe data/factory reset. Every time I tell it to reboot it just comes back to this same screen.
Any help would be appreciated.

That is currently happening to me now! Did you fix the problem? If so, please help me!

How did it turn out for you? That app just popped up on mine, and I told it not to install. Is this some hidden virus that comes on blu phones?

If u never FLASH or RECOVERY CWM, I think it is find to do wipe data/factory reset, coz I did factory reset a couple of time. Be patient, maybe the razr need a little time to boot.
i root my phone, then install the lockword recovery then instal some apps that conflict with the system.
i tried to reboot many time but still at the motorola logo. can't get into the phone.

CheeryKang 0.9.2 will not install on TouchPad

Hi,
I am currently running CM9 Alpha2 ICS.
I thought of upgrading to CherryKang 0.9.2, I followed the steps below, but after install CherryKang would not come up.. I see the dual boot menu and when the cyanogen mod menu item is selected it blanks out and then reboots again and I see the dual boot menu again.
I did full wipe, Factory reset, Advanced-Dalvik Cache and also under Mounts and Storage System wipe, and lastly Wipe Cache. After install i did Factory Reset again and Wiped Cache again. Rebooted Touchpad and nothing comes up.
I also tried unsintall thru ACMEUnInstaller and then put CherryKang 0.9.2 in the cminstall directory and the install process did not install the CherryKang 0.9.2
What am I missing?
Thanks

0. 9.3 is out now, so you might as well install that.
Wipe /delete factory reset, wipe dalvik cache and install.
Make sure you have a good download (check md5).
No need to wipe /format anything after you install (I don't).
It should work.......
Don't forget to have a good backup in case things don't work.
I tried to use 0.9.3 but goes into a boot loop as before. Is it because I am also doing a "system format" under Mount and Storage?
I don't think cherry will install from cminstall since it doesn't start with update... or gapps...
I've always had to install it via CWM. I had to run the boot image cleaner and wipe everything before installing.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA
I did the update thru CWM. It did not work and goes into boot loop.
What else can I do
Are you still formatting system every time? Try skipping that. Just wipe caches and install ROM then gapps.

[Q] Help handset bricked trying to install custom ROM

Hi I have attempted to install experience rom on my xperia U. Firstly i successfully unlocked the boot loader. I then rooted it and installed CWM recovery all still good. I the transferred the ROM image to the phone went into recovery did a wipe data factory reset and wipe cash partition. Also wipe dalvick cache. Selected the ROM and install started, it hung, only way out was battery pull, I went back into recovery same thing happened, finally tried once more and it hung at about 75%. Now phone goes in a loop sony logo to black screen and I cant get into recovery mode. I have searched to see if I can find a way out but not found a way around it yet. I would be very grateful for any help with this.

flash stock ICS Rom ftf with flashtool
Thanks for help
Thanks I managed to flash stock Gingerbread in the end.
In case anyone else has a similar problem here is a handy guide I found. (youtube.com/watch?v=hPPWRXcsz7g)
Where it says connect phone I found you need to connect it in fast boot (hold volume up button as you connect it) when the software is ready to flash un-plug phone then connect in flash mode (hold volume down button as you connect).

Flash stock firmware.
Install fastboot drivers.
Flash SlidingXU in cmd
Try out Zperience or TheBrainsRom following factory data reset, wiping cache and dalvik cache.

Stuck in boot loop

So I installed Nokia Z Launcher and everything worked fine, but when I rebooted my Note 2, I got stuck in a boot loop.
I read elsewhere that someone stopped this by going into recovery mode and clearing data. I don't see an option for this in CWM Reovery except "wipe data/factory reset.
Would wipe cache partition or wipe dalvik cache solve this boot loop or would this just make things worse?
I was trying to keep from reflashing if possible.

cache/dalvik probably won't fix your issue, most likely will have to hard reset, or odin
I had finally had to do a factory reset. I am glad I back up every night with Titanium Backup. The only thing that hasn't restored properly is Gmail. I no longer get emailed pushed or get notifications. I have to manually check for mail. Other than that, everything is good.

LG Volt in bootloop. Anyway to access data on the phone before factory reset?

LG Volt LS740. Phone is not rooted, it's all stock.
I can access the screen that says:
reboot system now
apply update from external SD card
apply update from cache
apply update from ADB
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
I can't post a link, but if you go to imgur, you can add this to the end of the url to see the screen: iLR0RL9.png
I tried 'wipe cache partition', but it didn't fix the problem.
I can also access a download mode screen, that just says 'Firmware Update'
Same thing with imgur here: MliSRUh.png
Is there any way to pull the data off the phone, before I try a factory reset? I've been searching and trying things for a few days, and haven't found anything that works... wondering if you guys might know.
Thanks for any help.
