Why did you buy it if you didnt like it? If you want Android on a handset buy a handset with it on it.
Makes no sense to me to buy something unless you like it.

geez, calm down mate -.-
i bought the Mozart coz I got it on a deal. I very sceptical about WP7 (though I'm hoping to write some apps for it).
Android looks pretty cool and I've wanted to try it out for some time now. Looks like i'll be stuck with WP7 though :/
at any rate, it was an innocent question. take a chill

I am a bit angry because in all wp7 forums the first what is asked when they can expect android on it , and it are almost all junior members .
they have to read first and then ask/post something .
personal , I hope android will never be ported to wp7 .
Agreed with ameel, simple questions.

[Q] webOS v3.0.3?

Hey All,
I got a touchpad recently, new, in box and it seems to have shipped with OS version 3.0.3...According to PreCentral, this is not something they've seen thus far...This is preventing me from doing any modding/Overclocking... Someone recommended I downgrade to 3.0.2...
Anyone know if there's a good reason not to downgrade? I don't know if Im losing much by downgrading, but this tablet isn't very speedy as it is now, so overclocking was supposed to be my solution to that...

Downgrade? Thats not something I would do just yet. If you can find a dev or someone that knows what they are doing. Ask them for help about somehow dumping the ROM on here so other people can check out the new rom.
post some screenshots of it up
touch to sync

Hi,
I just received mine with version 3.0.0. I can update it to version 3.0.3 but of course, I would like to know if it doesn't prevent any hack.
Mine is a french version, which version do you have people?
EDIT : Sorry, update version is 3.0.2, my bad.

i think if you were to downgrade, pretty much you have to make a webOS doctor using meta doctor in linux. follow the steps in one of the threads to installing ubuntu except you dont have to make a ext3fs partition. just use meta-doctor.
Is 3.0.3 even available to the public?

Well urukdroid is still very much active, he just release 1.6 of his rom. I would say the Gen8 is still quite active but could use more devs, we do also have people working in ICS which seems to be going well

This is true any devs is good
From what I know its still about yes.
Haha wouldn't go as far as 'big guy' But I have alot of experience with Android (starting way back with my HTC Magic) so help people where I can.
Also The Gen8 tablets where the first platform (along with my HTC Desire S) that I used to create my ubuntu install guide which has now become a app..
So I guess thats a development? You can now install ubuntu or backtrack within android via chroot

Ubuntu progress?

Hello fellows
I've seen the ongrowing ubuntu release for the Prime, and I'd like to know please the current state of the project?
In the thread (/showthread.php?t=1603921) it is written that there are few bugs \ unworking stuff, but from a quick look on the comments I could understand that alot have been fixed, and I'd really like to know what are the current state of it? What are the known bugs? and how does it work on the Prime (laggy, or fluent?).
Also, may I have a detailed tutorial to REMOVE COMPLETELY the Android system, and put in the Ubuntu, if I can? Or atleast a tutorial on how to install Ubunto?
Thanks in advance for your HUGE help for my long *ss question...

Nope, project got cancled. Since "Little Steve" (the dev behind it) has an Windows 8 tablet he won't continue it, I asked him via Twitter.
Well, and no you can't get Windows 8 either on it (sadly).

Acer Chromebook spin 15 linux?

Hi everyone
Everywhere I see the Acer Chromebook 15 is on the list of getting support for Linux, but not the 15 spin, while from the Chromebook 11 for example, I always see the spin version. Technically, I suppose there the same kind of device, with only a bit different hardware for the screen, but just to make sure, will the Chromebook spin 15 be able to make use of Linux apps?
Hopefully there's anyone who can clear up my dog about this.
Thanks in advance
Christophe

We share the same affliction it seems. maybe someone will know soon enough
Very strange as my Acer 15 (non spin) now has it in beta form. I think the hardware is nearly identical to that of the spin.
Not going to lie and say it runs well as it doesn't. Very slow to get on its feet and crashes often.
Maybe a blessing in disguise as you might get a more stable version.

Hi, I'm considering this chromebook but I was curious as to whether I can replace the bios with SeaBIOS.
I want to fully remove all Google software and run pure Linux.
