Today I was checking setool support site, and I found there is new firmware 4.0.2.C.0.5
As I know the latest is 4.0.2.A.0.69
Any one have an idea?

Only for UK and has some bugs/changes than regular Gingerbread. These are branded also.

.69 is the latest but its generic trade Germany firmware. So some apps won't be visible. But for other places .62 is the latest.

4.0.2.A.0.69 is only for Germany and it changes the Gmail to Google Mail, due to legal issues. There are no other changes in this version.
For all other regions, latest is 4.0.2.A.0.62.
As for the 4.0.2.C.0.5 firmware, it is a branded UK firmware, optimized to work only with UK networks.
There are no improvements in that one, so actually quite pointless update.

I downloaded Sony official GB and two ICS firmwares, GB and one ICS .ftf firmware only display its a "Firmware", but one ICS ftf file display its a "Generic Firmware". So what is the different between firmware and generic firmware? Is it only a name? I download those ftf files XDA forum.

i think Generic Firmwares re firmwares dat can be used on mobile phones in any country but Firmware re Variant types dat cant be used out a specific region!

I am sorry for creating another thread however, as i mentioned in this thread my Acro S is dead and will probably need to be flashed however i lost the ftf i had + the fact that it was Russian as i couldn't find the international, now after doing some searching i discovered that the only other one posted in this forum is Malaysian all the rest are Xperia S ftf and if i flash one of those the SD card won't function, so please can a good kind person post the latest international ftf for the Acro S so that it may help me and others in the future?

yes, official. I have other fw from france, malaysia, singapore, but this fw is fastest and most stable :good:
Each region all over the world has its own generic firmware. Never seen international firmware so far.
Anw, Singaporean generic firmware is thr most favourite one here

Its Czech generic firmware if i remember correctly. The uploader had a fault in typing or maybe did not know exactly that firmware named

Could you please post fw from singapore too? Possibly also the earlier 6.1.A.1.58 too if you have? Not exactly sure what is the difference in fw between regions?

france and malaysia fw is so slow, and there is some bug with camera auto start, only press home to exit this. Batterry poor and no icon for Data traffic enable. Wifi is so slow, and fw is lag. Use my link, fw from Russia, is so good

I'm planning to take the phone to Sony for servicing to check on an issue with the wifi which I believe is hardware related. It may be covered under the manufacturing warranty so I will need everything to be unrooted and stock.
