[Q] Manually generate dalvik cache - Moto E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently on android 5.1.1 euphorisOS. I installed kernel adiutor but after rebooting the phone, the dalvik cache was cleared (I dont know how) and the system started rebuilding it automatically.
The problem is that it built the dalvik cache (optimising apps) for only 135 apps but I have a total of 295 apps. So there's no dalvik cache for the rest of the apps and they are not generated anymore. Those apps which dont have the dalvik still run fine. But I guess without dalvik cache, its slower.
How do I generate the dalvik cache for the rest of the apps other than those 135? Any way to manually trigger dalvik cache building?
I have tried clearing the dalvik via twrp but the system again built dalvik for 135 apps only.

Deleting DALVIK folder ?

Clean Dalvik cache is as simple as booting into CWM recovery advanced wipe dalvik

Wiping the dalvik cache will do nothing to your phone. It's completely useless to wipe dalvik cache. My advice would be that you don't even try the things you are talking about.

[Q] Dalvik Cache

When I load roms, typically I will wipe the Cache as well, the Dalvik Cahce. However, since loading the new Cm9 Unofficial, everytime I try to wipe the Dalvik, i get "E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]".
Is this a problem and if so, how do i fix this?
I'm pretty sure it has always said that on every phone and every ROM I have used.
The dalvik cache wipe is not needed if you wipe the cache partition...
Guess where the dalvik cache is,
that's right.
The cache partition!
Btw, that message just means you don't have an external sd card installed.

Click to collapse
True, the error message can be ignored,
but sorry you're wrong -- dalvik-cache is under /data partition
and the message will appear regardless of having an sdcard, it just means [/sd-ext] is undefined

Dalvik cache

Hello,
Just wana does it affect the performance to wipe cache and dalvik cache? I have a friend who wipes cache and dalvik everyday to make his system clean and speed up.
Thanks for your time.
No it does not matter if you wipe dalvik .
Its stupid wiping it everyday its only going to rebuild itself .
Performance gain yes for about 30 seconds .

Wiping Dalvik cache on ART

Is there a way to wipe the Dalvik cache after switching to ART? I went to go wipe it in TWRP but it just redrew all the apps like it did when I first switched over to the new runtime.
